You are looking at a Great Truck. This 2000 Durango looks very good, runs strong and clean with no smoke or any indication of oil burning, transmission shifts well, the 4 wheel drive functions well in all the ranges and with a 5.9 Magnum, this truck has lots of power and it delivers great performance. At 189,000 miles this truck with a 5.9 Magnum engine is barely broken in, this is one of those Dodge's engines that are known for their ruggedness, longevity and durability. In my experienced opinion, this 5.9 engine is almost equivalent to the 5.9 diesel in terms of what it delivers. This Durango is a full size truck with leather upholstery and more than enough room for most families, it is equipped with the optional third row seat, so it comfortably seats a passengers and if needed, the third sear can be stowed away for additional cargo space in the trunk. The interior of this truck is nice and very clean with no stains and no mal-odor. The AM/FM CD Cassette players delivers premium sound through the Quad speaker system, climate control works well including heating and air-conditioning. All interior light and the digital information system work well, power windows and door locks, power seat etc. This is a luxury truck that is ready for your enjoyment. Included with this listing is the Autocheck report, which show a full history of ownership of the car, please take some time to review if you are seriously considering the acquisition of this truck and it will reveal to you that this is a quality truck, which was tremendously enjoyed by its previous three owners. The ownership history speaks volume, this is a truck that none of them got rid of in a hurry. The first owner had the truck for about 78,000 miles, the second owner enjoyed the truck for about 60,000 miles while the last owner drove the truck for almost 50,000 miles. The fact of the matter is, throughout the past ownership of this truck, it remains accident free and it is evidenced by all the body panels and gaps that are still as straight as they were, when it left the factory. That is simply the definition of preserved and careful enjoyment. I welcome and encourage your visit to inspect and drive this truck before you place your bid if desired, please call 484-544-3040 to arrange. This is an opportunity to own a good family truck, we have started this auction at a fairly low starting price with no reserve. The highest bidder wins so place your bid with confidence and hope to be the winner. |

I sold my Viper, but the memories I'll keep
Thu, 30 May 2013The following is written by auto industry veteran Tow Kowaleski. The words are his own, but the memories now belong to everyone thanks to his willingness to share. If you're an industry veteran with a story to share, contact us at tipsATautoblogDOTcom.
It became the flame that started the fire of belief in the next life of Chrysler.
I just sold a car. Nothing new. Millions do it every day. But my car was a 1995 Dodge Viper, so maybe it was a bit more unique since just 12,000 were built. And like others selling a car that's been a part of the family for close to 20 years, this was a confluence of emotions for me. I was sad to see it go, but happy to have the cash and one less big, shiny, under-utilized object in my life.
Chrysler recalls 350k vehicles over ignition switches
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Chrysler has announced a recall covering 349,442 vehicles due to ignition switches that can either become stuck or move without warning. All of the affected vehicles are from the 2008 model year, and were built before May 12, 2008.
The automaker has learned that ignition keys on some vehicles "may not fully return to the 'ON' position after rotation to the 'START' position during engine-startup," the company said in a statement. Additionally, "an ignition key may not fully return to the 'ON' position after rotation to the 'START' position and may inadvertently move through the 'ON' position to 'ACCESSORY' or 'OFF.'"
Chrysler says it is unaware of any related injuries, and notes that while reduced braking, engine or steering power is possible in such instances, the airbags are not affected. The later stands in contrast to General Motors' recent rash of high-profile recalls, and it's an important distinction that Chrysler (understandably) felt necessary to call out in bold print in its press release.
Pony-car sales war: Mustang vs. Camaro vs. Challenger [UPDATE]
Fri, Jul 3 2015Update: An earlier version of this story misstated the 2015 Mustang's weight when compared with previous models. Additionally, we have added comments from Chevrolet in the text. The Ford Mustang has blown past the Chevy Camaro as America's best-selling pony car, and in June, it wasn't even close. The 'Stang outsold the Camaro 11,719 to 8,611 cars. The Camaro remained ahead of the Dodge Challenger, which sold 6,845 units. Even though the Camaro did post an 11.5-percent sales improvement in June, the competition is arguably stronger than at anytime since the 1970s muscle-car era. The Mustang's sales leapt a whopping 53.6 percent, while the Challenger saw a gain of 56 percent. Several factors are weighing down Camaro sales, including its lame duck status. Chevy is launching a new generation of the Camaro this year that's more than 200 pounds lighter, offers a new turbo four-cylinder engine option, and has a nicer interior than the outgoing model. Put simply: wait a few months and you can get a better car. It's also unlikely Chevy will jack up the price much, as it's historically kept the Camaro within reach of everyday enthusiasts. While Chevy fans wait in anticipation for their new sports car, Ford and Dodge have downshifted. The new Mustang, which went on sale last year, is faster and more sophisticated than its predecessor. It also offers a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, which Ford has credited for the Mustang's recent uptick and makes up 36 percent of the car's sales, Ford analyst Erich Merkle said. View 17 Photos June's performance allowed the Mustang to widen its sales gap with the Camaro this year. Through the first five months, Ford sold 68,290 Mustangs, a 54.4-percent increased compared with 2014. Chevy sold 42,593 Camaros, an 8.7-percent decrease. The Challenger – long the No. 3 pony car in sales volume – has seen its sales surge 41 percent this year to 37,011 units. Spokesman Monte Doran said Chevy expected that 2015 would be a "relatively soft year" for the Camaro. "Mustang is taking advantage of years' worth of pent-up demand for an independent rear suspension," he said. "When Camaro introduced an IRS, in 2009, it helped make us the best-selling performance car in America.
