I am the original owner and I took care of it mechanically over the years. I changed the oil regularly every 3000 miles. Clean interior. It has never been in an accident. It has never been in a flood. Clean CARFAX.

What this car needs:

Front bumper has a large rust hole on passenger side. The bumper needs to be replaced or repaired. Driver’s side rear door has a small rust area developing about the size of a quarter. The rest of the body and paint are in good shape.

4WD shift knob linkage is broken. Transmission is good. Only the shifter knob/linkage needs to be replaced. It worked all winter just fine and I believe the shift linkage broke recently. I have not had this looked at either, but I am assuming it is minor since the 4WD had no operational issues.

ABS system stopped working. Brake/ABS lights come on. Could be a minor fix, but I never had it looked into. It passes inspection without ABS system operable.

There is some uneven tire wear developing on left front tire. The rank and pinion power steering unit had been replaced recently.

Stereo system was replaced with Pioneer head unit, 4 speakers and Kenwood 4 channel  50 Watt amplifier about 8-9 years ago. The left channel of the speakers stopped working recently. Otherwise the stereo system sounds good. It has a connection for an iPod and built in CD player on the head unit.

The rear passenger power window is temperamental. It will work sometimes and not others. Motors seem fine. Could be a wiring or switch issue?

Driver’s side rear door will not open from the inside. The door handle on the inside of the door had broken from the door lever. It needs a new inside door panel or repair the plastic handle that connects to the door rod.

The steering wheel has some play and needs to be adjusted/tightened or replaced.

The driver’s side front seat has some play. I believe the seat rails need to be replaced or adjusted.

All in all it has been a good reliable car for me that needs some work after 14 years in operation. A good fixer-upper for someone with a little time and some skills. There is potential to fix this car up and sell at a profit or simply drive it yourself for several more years.

Please let me know if you have any other specific questions about this car.

It will be sold AS-IS

I have been very truthful about all of the issues with this car.

This truck is being sold for local pick up only or delivery at buyers expense.

Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines

Fri, 16 Nov 2012

Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.

Buyer says Dodge dealer gave him wrong Charger, failed to notice for 2 months

Wed, Dec 31 2014

Mistakes happen, and they happen all the time. But when that mistake means a customer doesn't get what he or she paid for, something's gotta give. That's what one Dodge Charger buyer claims he is trying to sort out with his local dealership. Two months after taking delivery, the owner (going by the user name Dakrbouncer4689 on Reddit) says he got a call from his local Dodge dealership reporting a little problem. He had ordered and paid for the Charger SXT (pictured above on the dealer lot), but was given a Charger SE instead. The SE being the lower trim level, this presented one set of problems – namely a $2,000 discrepancy in equipment, like a five-speed automatic versus an eight-speed, a 4.3-inch infotainment display instead of 8.4, heated seats, leather steering wheel, premium audio, remote starter and so on. The second set of issues is that the VIN number on the paperwork (including the registration and insurance papers) of course doesn't match that of the car itself. The dealer, having obviously made a rather large mistake, apparently called the owner in to sort out the mess, but according to the customer's account, things didn't go as smoothly. Instead of immediately working to address the problem, the salesman kept the owner waiting, acted like it was no big deal, and offered only to swap the cars with no compensation for the trouble. Fortunately, the manager proved more sympathetic and apologetic, and offered the customer three options: he could swap the cars (re-doing the tinted windows on the SXT that the customer had done on the SE and throwing in leather seats for free), he could keep the SE (with the dealership handling the paperwork, throwing in the leather seats, adjusting the price and refunding an extra $400), or they could cancel everything, return the car and part company. As we go to press, the Charger owner had yet to make (or at least share) his decision. But while the principle of caveat emptor makes us wonder how he managed to take home a different car from the one he paid for, clearly the salesman and the dealership made a pretty large mistake by presenting him with the wrong set of keys and letting him off the lot without double checking it all. NHTSA investigating 110,000 Ram 2500s and 3500s, one death alleged

Fri, 23 May 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation focusing on 110,000 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups from model years 2004 to 2006. One death has already been reported, according to NHTSA, due to a potential fault with the clutch interlocks on manual-transmission versions of the heavy duty pickup.
According to the report, these trucks can be started without depressing the clutch. There have been three reports so far, and as we mentioned above, one very sad incident seems to have resulted in the death of a child.
"One complaint involved an incident that occurred when a child was able to enter the vehicle and start the ignition without depressing the clutch. The vehicle then moved forward striking another child resulting in a fatality," NHTSA said in the investigation bulletin, which you can view below.
