WE ARE SELLING OUR PRIDE AND JOY 1975 DODGE DART SPORT "HANG 10" CAR. IT WAS PURCHASED BY DAD AND PASSED DOWN TO HIS DAUGHTER SO IT IS A ONE OWNER CAR  [MAYBE TWO IF FAMILY DOESN'T COUNT]

THE DART HAS BEEN SITTING IN THE GARAGE FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS SO I WOULD SERVICE THE MOTOR BEFORE DRIVING. DAD DROVE IT TO OUR HOME WHEN HE GAVE IT TO US.  IT HAS THE FOLD DOWN REAR SEAT [FOR A SURF BOARD]. IT IS ONE OF ONLY 500 OF THIS MODEL IN 1975 AND THERE ARE ONLY 39 LISTED IN THE REGISTRY. I WAS TOLD THAT ORIGINAL FABRIC IS AVAILABLE FROM LEGENTARY FABRICS. THE AIR CLEANER ETC IS IN THE TRUNK.
THIS IS A FACTORY ORIGINAL CAR WITH EVERYTHING STILL ON IT. WE DIDN'T HOT ROD OR CUSTOMIZE ANYTHING. THE PAINT IS AS IT WOULD BE ON A 38 YEAR OLD CAR. NEW DECALS WOULD BE A MUST.  IT EVEN HAS FACTORY AIR BUT I THINK IT WOULD NEED TO BE SERVICED AS IT HAS BEEN SITTING.
THE GAS TANK WAS CLEANED AND BOILED OUT AS WE PLANNED TO RESTORE HER.
IF YOU GOOGLE THIS CLASSIC YOU WILL SEE HER AS SHE SHOULD BE. OURS HAS NO RUST WE CAN SEE AND WOULD BE A GREAT RESTORATION PROJECT.
HOPE TO FIND SOMEONE WHO WILL LOVE HER AS WE DID ALL THESE YEARS.

Dodge Charger Pursuit nets quickest lap in police car test

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

We wouldn't advocate trying to outrun the police, no matter what you're driving and no matter what they are. But if you see a Dodge Charger bearing down on you with blue lights flashing in your rearview mirror, you'd better think twice before attempting to flee, because the Charger Pursuit has once again emerged as the fastest police cruiser out there.
In the latest Police Vehicle Evaluation held by the Michigan State Police at Grattan Raceway, Dodge says its new Charger Pursuit AWD posted a lap time of 1:33.85. That's quicker than any of the other law enforcement vehicles present, but also makes it the quickest all-wheel-drive cruiser available to law-enforcement officials. That may not make it the quickest of all time, but that honor belongs to the rear-drive Dodge Charger Pursuit, which cuts a fraction of a second off its AWD counterpart's time with a 1:33.70. But in regions where the extra traction could come in handy, that's as negligible a difference as we've ever seen.
Of course, the annual PVE sessions held by the Michigan State Police take in to account a wide variety of performance tests, including top speed, acceleration, braking, handling, fuel economy and ergonomics. The MSP has yet to reveal its full findings from its 2014 model year tests, but we'll be sure to bring them to you when they are published.

Does the future of Fiat-Chrysler include Dodge?

Thu, 13 Jun 2013

Wards Auto reports the future of Dodge is looking uncertain. Fiat has more or less laid out it's game plan for the next few years, and while the Chrysler, Fiat and Jeep lines are set to receive plenty of love, Dodge isn't so lucky. Fiat has already hobbled Dodge significantly by splitting off the brand's trucks into a separate Ram line.
Wards says that after the Avenger rides off into the sunset early next year, Fiat-Chrysler won't replace the model, leaving a gaping midsize hole in the Dodge lineup. The report also cites unnamed sources as saying that at least two other current Dodge products will move to the Chrysler line.
One of those could very well be the Grand Caravan. Chrysler has already made it clear that it plans to trim redundancy between its minivan offerings, but it has yet to clarify which other vehicle could sail under the Chrysler banner moving forward. Either way, such changes to the product line would theoretically leave Dodge with just four models.

Dodge CEO and Gas Monkey Garage dissect the 10-second Challenger Hellcat

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

So far, whenever we've seen the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT with its 707-horsepower, supercharged Hellcat V8, the muscle car has been smoking its tires. Dodge is finally proving that the SRT can do more than ruin perfectly good sets of rubber, though. In it's latest video, company CEO Tim Kuniskis hands the Hellcat off to the guys from Gas Monkey Garage to show how quickly the automaker's most powerful model can make it down the drag strip.
Of course, the only fitting contender to race against Dodge's latest top muscle car is its grandpa - a Hemi-powered 1971 Challenger, in this case. Before getting to the main event, the hosts also show off some of the SRT's unique features like the blanks in the grille that feed the intercoolers. We'll go ahead and spoil that the Hellcat makes its pass in the 10-second range, and the video admits the tires on the production version would take just a touch longer to cover the quarter-mile. However, you have to watch film to see just how quick it actually goes. Scroll down to see a classic example of American muscle drag racing against its modern legacy.
