1974 Dodge Dart Swinger This is a fresh trade in here in the Atlanta area! 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger w/ the slant 6 clyn. engine. I am not sure of the cubic inch. The vehicle stands up pretty tall. It is not perfect, but certainly not bad. It is showing 90k miles, I do not know the actual miles on the vehicle. It will be sold "miles exempt". The body is in pretty good shape. I do not see any rust really anywhere on the body, I took a picture of the trunk, under the mat, and you may see a rusty look, but the trunk and floorboards are not "rusted out"... Everything feels solid as far as I can tell. The car runs and drives out very good. I drove the car approx. 20 miles before listing it and I see no mechanical issues to make mention of. But what I have found not working: The speed odometer does not work. The factory temp. gage does not work, but the previous owner installed an after market temp. gage and oil pressure gage which do seem to be working properly. The wipers do not work. And the after market radio does not work. All head lights, tail lights, & blinkers are curently working fine. The tires are new. Part of the driver side body molding is missing. The vehicle DOES NOT HAVE A TITLE. 1974 IS NOT REQUIRED TO HAVE A TITLE. It will be sold with bill of sale only. I took alot of pictures for you to view. If you have any questions about anything I have not mentioned please ask. You may call me on my cell # 678-776-5093. We are located at 4710 Atlanta Hwy 78 Loganville, Ga. 30052 (approx 40 miles east of Atl). Garner's Auto Sales Inc. Thank you! |

Top torque-to-weight ratios under $100k, $50k and $25k
Tue, 07 Oct 2014Horsepower may steal a lot of headlines, but the always-more-complex torque figure is often a critical one for both the workingman and the motoring playboy. The measure of rotational force represents the twist that can liquefy one's tires or haul one's horse trailer. Good stuff.
It follows then, that as with the horsepower-to-weight list that we assembled for you a few months ago, a list of cars that offer the most pound-feet with the fewest pounds to carry, is an interesting one to break down. Sure, there's a big difference in how the torque is applied from a turbocharged six-cylinder in a Swedish luxury sedan and a massive heavy-duty truck's turbo-diesel. But being the car/stat geeks that we are, we think it's kinda neat that those two vehicles rank near each other where torque and weight intersect.
As with the horsepower list, we've given you figures as pounds per every one pound-foot. Again broken down into broad price categories, we've got a mixed bag of 2014 and 2015 models here, too. Every effort has been made to select the most up-to-date prices and specs, and we've also to omitted some '14 cars that won't be re-upped after the ongoing yearly changeover.
This SEMA special drag race is absurdly awesome
Fri, Dec 5 2014The SEMA Show came and went last month, and it showed us a ton of heavily modded goodies to dream about during the long, cold winter. The Motor Trend Channel on YouTube is keeping the party rolling a little longer, though, with a drag race inspired by the aftermarket event. All of the hosts were supposed to borrow a vehicle from the show for the big race, but only two of them actually cajoled companies into lending their wares. Still, the result includes four very cool and extremely different examples of the breadth of the automotive hobby. First up, there's a 1955 Chevrolet with a 535-cubic-inch (8.8-liter) Hemi V8 stuffed under the hood. Appropriately, it's dubbed the Blasphemi, and with skinny tires up front, fat rubber in the rear and a stripped interior, this this is made to go very fast in a straight line. Next, there's a stock Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat boasting 707 horsepower. Plus, host Jessi Lang has her dog riding shotgun for the race. A Chevy Sonic RS with some body mods, downpipe and intake is also competing. Finally, the most bizarre of the quartet is a custom 1958 Jeep Forward Control with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and treads to replace the wheels. Obviously, the Blasphemi and Hellcat are the only two that really have a chance of winning, but check out the video to see which one crosses the finish line first. 2015 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak previewed
Fri, 29 Aug 2014Dodge and Mopar have never strayed far from success in drag racing, be it on run-what-you-brung nights at the local strip or at the highest levels of the sport. Hoping to both add to that heritage and capitalize on some of the media spotlight that's shown so brightly on the brand of late, Dodge has given us our first look at the 2015 Mopar Challenger Drag Pak test car.
Though this first iteration doesn't make use of the 707-horsepower Hellcat engine, it seems to be a pretty formidable racing package. Starting with a stock '15 Challenger, Mopar adds a full roll cage built to National Hot Rod Association specs. Rubber front and back is drag racing-ready as well, with 28x4.5-inch tires in the front, and fat 30x9-inch tires out back - all from Hoosier.
Powering the beast is a massive 426-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) Hemi Race V8, with output levels that are still unspecified. A Chrysler 727 automatic transmission connects up to a racing style shift lever, with integral line lock.
