1972 Dodge Dart Swinger 2 door California Car, I picked this up to restore, but waaay too many projects. It is a California car it's whole life. I was able to start it and drive around the neighborhood. Of course, stopping was pretty funny, you are going to need brakes :-)
This car sat for a few years under a carport, it has a 6 cylinder, it appears very solid and rust free. Has some dents on passenger side, looks like they scraped the carport pulling in. It needs a headliner and seat covers, also missing outside driver door handle, what you would expect for usual stuff. This should be a pretty easy restoration. I've done a million and had much worse. The cable broke on the speedometer, but it's around 63K from all the paperwork I have. It has a nice, clear and clean CA title. If you are looking for a project that won't break the bank, look at the photos and decide. Sold as shown, it is a great start if not afraid of elbow grease, it's not a show car folks, needs work. You will have to transport out. It can move on it's on power onto a truck, but that's as far as I would go until it's done if I were you. Come out and see it, located in Santa Monica area. Email questions, check my feedback, have fun, thanks!

Dodge Viper saved from crusher by students, but will it last?

Tue, 16 Sep 2014

The saga of the Washington state community college hoping to keep its allegedly pre-production Dodge Viper out of the maw of the crusher is going strong. Not only does the school still have the car, but there's a chance that the college might even get to keep it.
The whole situation flared up in March when the South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, WA, received a notice from Chrysler Group that requested that the school's Viper be destroyed. The automaker had loaned the muscle car to it about a decade ago to use for educational purposes in its auto tech classes. With the Dodge growing long in the tooth, "it is unlikely that these vehicles offer any educational value to students," the company said in its press release on the matter.
However, the college balked at destroying its Viper, despite the fact it had signed a contract with Chrysler Group to do so. The school further claimed that its car was incredibly special because it was a pre-production example and just the fourth one made back in 1992. Although, as we pointed out at the time, the photos of the school's vehicle showed a coupe that looked like a newer Viper GTS.

Chrysler slows minivan production, hasn't built VW Routan this year

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Chrysler has slowed production of its Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans this week, Automotive News reports. The Windsor, Ontario plant will cut its three shifts from eight hours each to four hours each in an effort "to align production with market demand," a Chrysler spokesperson told AN. Chrysler also builds the closely related Routan minivan for Volkswagen at its Ontario facility, but has not built a single example thus far in 2013.
Sales of Chrysler's minivans fell 15 percent for the first two months of 2013, and a large part of that has to do with the 26-percent drop of the Grand Caravan alone (the T&C was only down by one percent). According to Automotive News data, as of March 1, Chrysler had an unsold inventory of 24,713 Town and Country models and 18,547 Grand Caravans - a 69- and 43-day supply, respectively.
"No sense running full speed now, then have a lot of vehicles sitting around a few months down the line," Chrysler spokeswoman Jodi Tinson told AN. Full production is expected to resume again on March 18.
