1971 Dodge Dart Demon Coupe 2-door 5.2l-no Reserve on 2040-cars
Santa Clarita, California, United States
1971 Dodge Demon This car is in the greater Los Angeles area and must be local pickup only. This auction has NO RESERVE PRICE This listing is for a 1971 dodge demon project car. I have owned this car since 1993. It was originally a 6 cylinder car that was converted to a v8 by the previous owner. In 2001 I completely disassembled the car down to the unibody with intentions to do a ground up restomod restoration. Of course, life doesn't always work out how you plan it to, so it has sat in the garage, untouched for 13 years. This car was fully functional, and one hell of a fast, fun car up until the day she came apart. The only parts for the car that I no longer have are both front fenders, the front valance and the front bumper, as my intention was to install a flip up fiberglass front end on the car. The missing pieces were sold years ago to ease in storage. The hood on the car is originally from a 340 car and has the functional dual scoops. I have a 318 v8 with big valve 360 heads that is currently disassembled, but complete and in need of freshening. A brand new, never run, TCI street fighter 727 trans. 8 3/4 rear end with 3.91 gears. A set of superstock leaf springs from mopar perf. that were never installed. A complete interior with front bucket seats in black velour and rear bench is in excellent condition. All interior panels are in good condition. All glass is in excellent condition. no carpet kit or headliner included. The rallye dash that was in the car has been modified to fit a modern stereo and was painted black. It will be included, but is rough. I also have an original floor shift center console that I didn't use in the car, but is complete. The car is manual brake/manual steering and has 4 wheel drum brakes with the small 5X4 bolt pattern. I have a set of small bolt pattern rallye wheels for it that are 80% complete. There is very little rust on this car, just a small spot on the bottom of the passenger quarter and a small spot above the firewall under the hood. slight surface rust in trunk well and driver floor pan, but very light and easily fixed. I drove, maintained, and loved this car for many years and hate to see it go, but life has forced my hand otherwise. Someone looking for an A-body project would be getting one hell of a solid car for their money. Hope that someone out there wants to take this bad boy and put it back out on the street doing burnouts where it belongs, and not locked up in a garage somewhere with the wheels off like I've had it for far too many years. All parts I have for this car will and MUST go with it to the winner of this auction. Including, but not limited to engine and all parts, brand new TCI trans, all interior, glass, and suspension parts. Most everything not attached to car is in labeled rubber bins. I bolted back on the front and rear suspensions, so car is currently a rolling chassis. Title is clear and car has been registered as non-op in California since 1999. Not willing to ship. This car is in the greater Los Angeles area and must be local pickup only. I have described this car to the best of my ability at this time, but please feel free to message me through ebay with any other questions. |

Explore Dom's 1970 'off-road' Dodge Charger from Furious 7
Fri, Apr 3 2015The Aficionauto, Christopher Rutkowski, already drove Dom's 1970 Dodge Charger from Fast & Furious and Fast Five. Now he's returning to the franchise for an interview with Dennis McCarthy, the vehicle coordinator on the last five Fast and Furious films, plus a close look at the custom off-road Charger that's one of the automotive stars in Furious 7. Given his resume, when McCarthy admits this is his new all-time favorite vehicle from the franchise, it really means something. Don't worry. McCarthy is careful not to spoil any of the film's action while he shows off the Charger and Shaw's fast attack vehicle that takes on the Dodge. McCarthy does reveal the one car that he still dreams to build for the series, and it's something that every fan should see. This looks like a fantastic blockbuster movie season for anyone that loves to watch cars crash and explode on the big screen. Furious 7 is in theaters right now, and based on the trailer, it promises the biggest stunts ever from the long-running franchise. And in just a few weeks, Mad Max: Fury Road hits cinemas to add a dystopian tinge to the automotive action. We cruised Woodward in the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat [w/video]
Tue, 19 Aug 2014
We were definitely rock stars at the 20th edition of the Dream Cruise.
The yell came from somewhere in the crowd: "Hey Hellcat, push it!" We obliged with a jab of the throttle, and the 707 horses of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat roared to life. It went on like this. All weekend. It's one thing to attend the Woodward Dream Cruise, it's quite another to star in it.
Rare Dodge Daytona found in barn heads for auction
Tue, Dec 15 2015An American icon is headed to Mecum's Kissimmee, Florida auction next January. Charlie Lyons, owner of a restoration shop focused on old Chrysler products, got a lead on a two-owner 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona that had been sitting in a barn in Glenwood, Alabama for decades. Dodge built 560 Charger Daytonas (Canada and US production) to homologate the model for NASCAR racing, and then that car and the successor Plymouth Superbird terrorized NASCAR tracks for 18 months. The production car, however, 18 feet long and considered ugly, wasn't popular at the time, so many were beat up or simply disappeared. Around 385 are thought to exist today. Lyons said the first owner of this car was the town judge, who bought it for his wife. In 1974 the second owner - just 18 years old at the time - bought it for $1,800 so he could drive it to Panama City, Florida, for Spring Break, and had flames painted on the front fenders and the scallops trimmed in white. Otherwise this barn find is complete and stock, with matching numbers throughout, R4 Charger Red paint and a white tail, bucket seats, center console, three-speed TorqueFlite automatic, and 20,553 miles on the 440-cubic-inch Magnum V8. Hot Rod has the long story of how Lyons found the car and convinced the owner to sell for what he jokingly called "a shoebox full of folded money." Hagerty says a concours-worthy model can command $262,000. Mecum's pre-sale estimate for this Charger Daytona is $150,000 to $180,000. That sounds steep, but Mecum did sell another perfectly restored Hemi-powered 1969 Charger Daytona for $900,000 at this year's Kissimmee auction to actor David Spade. Related Video:
