1969 Dodge Dart Gt Hardtop V8 Bucket Seats Console Shifter Original Mopar on 2040-cars
Seymour, Indiana, United States
Up for sale is a 1969 Dodge Dart GT. The car runs and drives great and has a fairly nice interior. You can drive this car everyday if you want or drive as you restore it. It has a 318 engine with mild cam and 4 barrel carb which gets decent gas mileage. It has new exhaust with glass pack mufflers. The car has nice bucket seats with console shifter on the floor. The body has rust in the lower quarters but besides that it is a very solid car that just needs a repaint to be nice. The body panels, floors, frame , and trunk are really solid considering the car is 45 years old. The car is all original except for the intake, carb and the tail panel is from a 67. You could drive home if you want. All the guages work exept fuel gauge I think it just needs ground, the wipers and the speedometer are in great working order. The car is showing 80,006 miles(the odometer still works) which I believe to be original miles by the way it drives. Car has power steering and steers good, tracks straight down the road. Brakes work good too but the passenger side wheel cylinder is sticking so it pulls a little when you hit the brakes 10 dollar fix no big deal. This is a fairly rare GT model that is 90% original and would be a easy restoration or just use it as a daily driver as it is your choice. For all serious buyers please call me a 812-530-7384 Thanks for looking and have a great day. |

Roadkill builds crazy-cheap 1968 Dodge Charger rat rod using an old motorhome
Tue, 24 Dec 2013Certain requests for description simply cannot be fulfilled, like if someone asked you to describe Picasso's Guernica or Gilliam's Brazil. There is only one appropriate answer to such entreaties, and that is: "You just gotta see it." That's where we are with the latest episode of Roadkill, wherein Messr's Freiburger and Finnegan dig out a 1968 Dodge Charger that Freiburger acquired in exchange for a set of cylinder heads, and intend to stuff it with the big-block motor from a long-bed, three-quarter ton Dodge pickup.
Only the pickup is too nice to tear apart, and the Charger needs a whole lot more lovin' - and parts - than initially expected. Enter, stage right, the Class A Dodge Pace Arrow motorhome with a 440 big-block purchased for $1,000, and a retired Plymouth Fury from a previous episode.
What ensues over the course of the 40-minute installment is more cuttin', yankin', leakin', stallin', hammerin' and smokin' action than you've seen in a long time, and some techniques that would have made even Cooter wonder, "I'm not sure if we should do that." By the end, though, the payoff is good enough to make you think about perusing AutoTrader for a '68 Charger just to see if maybe...
Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat #0001 raises $825,000 for charity
Sun, 28 Sep 2014$60,000 doesn't strike us as a lot to pay for a muscle car with 707 horsepower on tap. $825,000... now that's a different story. But, according to the official SRT blog, that's how much one generous and eager buyer paid for the privilege of getting his (or her) hands on the very first new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
Decked out in Stryker Red paint that's usually reserved for the Viper, the supercharged Challenger bearing the VIN 0001 went up for auction at the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino in Las Vegas on Saturday under the auspices of Barrett-Jackson. By the time bidding ended, the gavel dropped at $825,000 - nearly 14 times the sticker price - 100 percent of which will benefit Opportunity Vehicle, a charity that aids the intellectually handicapped in the Las Vegas Area.
Travis Pastrana signs with Dodge for another year, brings partner Bryce Menzies [w/video]
Sun, 14 Apr 2013Dodge and SRT Motorsports announced that the Dodge Dart will be returning for its sophomore season of the Global Rallycross Championship with a two-car team fielded by Pastrana Racing. Travis Pastrana drove his GRC Dart to victory lane in the fourth race of the car's inaugural season, and his race team is looking for even more success with the addition of off-road racer Bryce Menzies behind the wheel of the second car.
The 2013 GRC season kicks off on April 21 in Brazil with plenty of dirt-spewing, ramp-jumping action. Scroll down for a video from the cars' main sponsor, Red Bull, and a press release from Chrysler.
