2002 4x4 Extended Cab Pickup 2-door 3.9l on 2040-cars
Newton, New Jersey, United States
This is a 2002 Dodge Dakota 4 wheel drive in great shape. Carfax shows this truck as being dealer serviced religiously every 3000 miles at Franklin Sussex Automall in Sussex, NJ all its life almost until 105,000 miles, including oil changes and transfer case flushes as per factory recommendations! As we all know, this is almost unheard of these days. I recently had a full service oil change and they said all fluids are the right color and appear to not be leaking. It has very minor surface rust in a few typical areas. It has about 109,800 miles thereabouts( I still drive it about 3 miles to work every day). I just got a NJ inspection sticker good until August 2016. I just had all the bearings done (front wheels, and entire rebuild on differential. pinion gear, carrier bearings, seals, etc. inside and outside)... The tires still have a lot of life left in them, as shown in pictures. There's a small surface chip in windshield on passenger side but not in drivers line of sight so it's hardly noticeable. There is some surface rust under drivers side rear turn signal, and the fenders and rockers are in great shape. see picture of bedrail on drivers side and you will see a few dents, but that's about it. Truck runs great overall, come and take a test drive if you like. This truck has a 3.9 V6 which is a strong running engine and it kicks over instantly and idles evenly right where it should. Most Dodge mechanics will agree that the 3.9 V6 is much more desirable than the 3.7 which seems to be prone to mechanical issues. The CD player works great, truck runs and drives excellent. Steering box is tight and truck does not drift, tires are in good condition (Also see pictures!) Front brake pads are new and when I had the rear rebuilt, I had the mechanic put a new drum brake spring and tensioner kit in both sides... The rear shoes looked like they have tons of miles left on them. Windows are factory tinted, and it has a center rear slide window. Truck also has a bedliner, cruise control, AC (blows cold, recently recharged). The interior is in great shape- Windows, power mirrors, door latches and power locks all work as they should, with no wear spots or rips in upholstery. Carpet is in great shape, not much wear on floor under mats on either side or no stains or tears. Please feel free to contact me for any additional information regarding this truck, or to arrange a time to come see it or have a mechanic check it out. This truck is being sold as is, with no warranties either expressed or implied by the seller. It is the responsibility of the buyer to view the truck or have it checked out by a representative agent of the buyer at the buyer's cost. Vehicle delivery and all sales taxes are the sole responsibility of the buyer, The Newton, N.J. DMV is 5 miles from my house and you can get t-tags or register it there. E-Bay has vehicle shipping options. Payment of 250.00 into Paypal is required within 48 hours of auction end. At this time we can arrange for pick up or delivery. The remaining balance to be paid in cash or bank check within 7 days of auction end. I will work with you on this last part if you need extra time for special circumstances, within reason of course. I will not release title until payment (final payment) clears my account. This truck runs great and has very few issues, I know anyone who sees it and drives it will absolutely love it. THANK YOU, and good luck bidding! RAY |

QB says University of Alabama offered him a Corvette to play football
Fri, 16 May 2014The University of Alabama Crimson Tide football team could be in some hot water, following a pair of posts on social media.
The first post was sure to raise a few eyebrows on its own. It's an Instagram of sophomore running back Derrick Henry standing in front of his new Dodge Challenger (we're guessing it's an R/T based on the fender stripes). Complete with a custom set of wheels, the image was enough to trigger more than a few questions about where an unemployed student-athlete came up with the money for such a purchase. Now, this could be harmless. Henry, flush with a full-ride to Bama could have convinced his parents to get him something nice with his college fund.
The second post, though, is a straight-up accusation. It comes from former West Virginia Mountaineer and current CFL quarterback Pat White, who posted the following on his Facebook page.
Dodge gives 2015 Viper slight power increase, new GT model
Tue, 02 Sep 2014With its troubling sales figures, the newly rechristened SRT Dodge Viper needs to come out swinging for 2015. To do that, Dodge has made a number of tweaks and changes that will hopefully carry the V10-powered sports car into more successful days.
First up for 2015 is a new GT model, which aims to marry the reasonable price of the base car with the adjustable suspension and trick stability control program of the GTS model. The GT also sports a cabin that's covered in Alcantara suede and Nappa leather as standard.
Also new for 2015 is the SRT TA 2.0 Special Edition, which expands on last year's Viper TA by adding new aerodynamic bits and bobs, including a larger rear wing, which ups downforce at 150 miles per hour from 278 pounds to 400 pounds.
Small 3-row crossover SUVs specifications compared on paper
Thu, May 10 2018There's no shortage of three-row vehicles on the market for carrying seven or more people and their stuff wherever they all need to go. Just about every car company has at least one large crossover or traditional SUV with three rows of seats, and there are still plenty of minivans to pick from. But most of these vehicles are large, pricey, and frequently thirsty. Fortunately, there are still a handful of smaller crossovers that deliver 7-passenger capability in a smaller, cheaper package. We've gathered four of the small three-row set here to compare them based on space, power, fuel economy, pricing, and more. They include the very old Dodge Journey, the slightly less old Mitsubishi Outlander and Kia Sorento, and the relatively new Volkswagen Tiguan. You can see the raw numbers in the chart below, followed by a more detailed breakdown and some notes on how we like each of these vehicles. For in-depth opinions on the vehicles, be sure to check out our full reviews, and if you want to compare these with other vehicles, try out our comparison tools. Engines, transmissions and performance Interestingly, three of the four crossovers here utilize similar engines for their four-cylinder offerings. The Dodge, Kia and Mitsubishi all feature naturally aspirated 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Only the Volkswagen Tiguan chooses turbocharging and a smaller 2.0-liter displacement. But because of its turbocharger, the Tiguan's four-cylinder is easily the most potent, making a healthy 221 pound-feet of torque, which is more than 40 more than the Sorento, the crossover with the next most torque. The VW is also second-most powerful, just one horse behind the Sorento. The Outlander is the least powerful in the four-cylinder class. The Journey is only barely better, but it will probably feel as slow or worse thanks to its ancient 4-speed automatic. The four-cylinder Sorento and Outlander each have 6-speed automatic transmissions, and the VW has an 8-speed. The Sorento with a V6 has an 8-speed, too. View 17 Photos Moving up to the V6 class, the Outlander is once again at the bottom. It actually makes less torque than the turbo VW Tiguan. The Journey and Sorento are almost perfectly matched. The Journey makes a bit more torque; the Sorento makes a bit more power. The Journey also gets upgraded to a 6-speed automatic. Another powertrain consideration to bare in mind is whether all-wheel-drive is necessary.
