1999 Dodge Dakota Sport R/T club cab. Automatic transmission. Very hard to find truck especially with the low miles. Very well maintained. Truck starts right up and runs excellent. Only issue I've had with this truck currently is the A/C. Compressor does kick on when applying refrigerant, but hot air does make its way back through the vents. Interior is in great condition with a small spot on the carpet. Seats are in excellent condition no tears, stains or rips..as is the headliner. Dash is also in perfect shape no cracks, which is very rare for this model dodge. Everything works power windows, locks, even the keyless entry. Tires look to be in great shape with good amount of life left. Paint is in great condition for its age. It does have scratches and dents from previous owner, but still looks good for its age. Has hard bed cover painted to match the truck. I have receipts for tune up- distributor cap, plugs, wires, oil change, brake job. This truck came with every option available when new as well as a few aftermarket items from previous owner. This is a 14yo truck and is not new condition. Does have a few squeaks that a truck this age does but was very well taken care of and it shows. I have not put many miles on the truck since I purchased it. I've never abused nor raced this truck. I purchased it to drive back and forth to work and recently was given a work truck and would prefer not having to pay insurance on a truck I no longer drive. The truck has a clear Louisiana title in hand.
Kbb lists this truck right over $7000.00 in excellent condition. I'm asking $6200 considering the a/c problem and the cosmetic issues(scratches. etc) which is near the price for fair condition. The truck is located in Crowley, la. If you would like to view it feel free to contact me.

Chrysler Group moves around execs in wake of recent departure
Tue, 16 Apr 2013Chrysler is busy shuffling executives around in the wake of Ram head Fred Diaz's departure. The automaker has named Reid Bigland (pictured, right) as Diaz's successor in the role of president and CEO of Ram, though Bigland will continue his duties as the head of US sales and the president and CEO of Chrysler Canada. Bigland first came to Chrysler in 2006 from Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, so the guy knows a thing or two about trucks.
Meanwhile, Timothy Kuniskis will take over as president and CEO of Dodge. Previously, he served as the head of Fiat in North America and has been with Chrysler in one capacity or another since 1992. His old title now falls to Jason Stoicevich, who will also continue to work as the director of the automaker's California Business Center. Finally, Bruno Cattori will take over as the president and CEO of Chrysler Mexico.
Diaz left his position to take over as a divisional vice president of sales and marketing with Nissan. You can read the full press release on the Chrysler personnel changes below for more information.

Barracuda's Dodge branding no biggie, but what about engines?
Thu, Aug 27 2015Rumors about a revival of the Barracuda nameplate have been circulating for years now, though which brand it might fall under has been a bit of a mystery. Initial speculation had the car labeled an SRT product, but that acronym has since returned to its former role as a sub-brand for top-performance Mopars. Thanks to leaks from a recent FCA dealership event, we know the Barracuda is back on the table but will be sold under the Dodge umbrella, a move that has been generating a bit of ire from Pentastar fanatics, as the car was originally part of the defunct Plymouth brand. Given what's known about the new model, however, the badge is the least of my concerns about the new car. Let's start with the re-branding itself. This isn't the first time Chrysler has shuffled models around to different brands. The current-generation Viper spent two years as the flagship model under the SRT banner, only to return to Dodge for 2015 when SRT resumed its former role as a sub-brand. Years ago, the Neon was sold as a Plymouth, a Dodge, and a Chrysler model, depending on where you shopped for one. When Plymouth ceased to exist, the last few years of Prowler production got Chrysler badges instead. Then there's the new Jeep Renegade, a model whose name was born out of a trim level. The Barracuda might not turn out to be a muscle car in the way we currently define them. Further examples of naming liberties taken throughout automotive history could fill a book, but suffice it to say that these days a model's name has very little to do with the vehicle itself or any legacy it might have. The Barracuda name might be a particularly sacred cow with enthusiasts, but to me, a much bigger concern is the fact that the car might not turn out to be a muscle car in the way we currently define them. News from the Fiat Chrysler dealer briefing earlier this week indicates that when the next Charger debuts it will share its platform with the Barracuda, much the way the Charger and Challenger are twinned now. One difference is that the Barracuda is tipped to be offered as a convertible, while the modern Challenger is tintop-only. The Charger and Barracuda will use the rear-drive platform developed for Alfa Romeo's new Giulia, itself designed as a BMW M3 fighter both from a dimensional and dynamic standpoint; the Barracuda is expected to be slightly smaller than the current Challenger.
