1999 Dodge Dakota Ice Cream Truck With Cold Plate Freezer on 2040-cars
Stratford, Connecticut, United States
This truck has a CUSTOM cold plate box on the back intended to replicate an old fashioned 1950's style good humor ice cream truck but with the advantages of running like a 50 year newer vehicle without the mechanical headaches# The truck had been used last season but no longer needed as the owner needs to liquidate to help cash flow after just paying for his tuition at a local college# The freezer may need a slight charge of Freon since it is been sitting all winter but a chance it may be ok and fully charged The compressor is a working copland scroll compressor and last year I bought a brand new amp chord wire and connecter for $90 to go with this purchase. You can see that the compressor and controls for the freezer are on the back left corner of the driver side. There is a cosmetic vent rain cover to go over it which comes with the purchase. The dirty picture of the truck showing the compressor is before it was cleaned. This vehicle/freezer combo is being sold as-is with no warrantee. Once purchased and funds exchanged we can sign an insurance and liability release, and the truck is yours to drive off when you are ready. This is a used vehicle. Cosmetic is not 100% but overall good. There is some sap on the hood but can come off with GOO-off solution. Fires up on dime. BRAND new battery with 2.5 year warrantee left from autozone sitting inside after truck was winterized. Some new brake lines installed.weight on title = 3700 Call for questions about this vehicle and deals on other equipment 203-887-0694 Payment: Pay Pal, cash, wire transfer, credit card*, or certified bank check *when funds clear title will be signed over. |

Fiat-Chrysler shows its SEMA lineup
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles already previewed its 2014 SEMA show lineup with some slick renders. Now, the automaker has finally showed us the actual cars, and among the group there are definitely some that stand out more than others.
Dodge is really showing off its muscle at this year's show with four concepts that all pump up the power of the brand's models. Perhaps most interesting among them is the Challenger T/A Concept (pictured above) in striking Sublime Green and matte black. It's meant to resemble the classic Trans Am racer from the '70s. Under the hood is a 6.4-liter V8, and to fit the vintage style there's a pistol-grip gearshift inside.
The Charger R/T also gets some attention with the Mopar concept that shows off what FCA's aftermarket performance arm can do. Mods include an updated body kit, cold-air intake for the 5.7-liter V8 and a coil-over suspension kit. Beyond that, the Dart R/T Concept looks a lot meaner with a black hood with duct work that leads straight to the air intake. The rest of the compact sedan is dolled up in O-So-Orange paint and is fitted with upgrades to improve handling like a coil-over suspension and big brake kit from the Mopar catalog.
Will Dodge limit 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat to 1,200 units?
Sun, 20 Jul 2014With over 700 horsepower on tap and a price tag barely over $60k, Dodge appears on paper to have a winner on its hands with the new Challenger SRT Hellcat. But if you want to get your hands on one, you may have to act quicker than this most powerful of muscle cars covers the quarter-mile.
That's because, according to our compatriots over at Edmunds, Dodge may limit production - in the first year, at least - to just 1,200 units. That would amount to barely a quarter of the Challengers that Dodge moves each month, and would also mean only one Hellcat for every two Dodge dealers in the US - which could lead to some serious contention over which stores and which customers can get their hands on the ultimate Challenger.
Reached for comment, SRT spokesman Dan Reid told Autoblog that "there is no plan to limit production of the Challenger Hellcat," echoing the words of Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis who told Edmunds: "We don't know what the market demand is." Which doesn't mean that it won't restrict production, but doesn't mean that it will, either. It just hasn't decided yet - or announced any such decision, at any rate - over what will be the final allocation strategy for what could be a game-changing muscle car. That is, at least, until new versions of the Mustang and Camaro come along in pursuit of Dodge's bragging rights...
Old vs. New: 2014 SRT Viper takes on upgraded 16-year-old Dodge Viper
Fri, 08 Feb 2013It's easy to play the "Would you rather have a New X or an Old Y with a bunch of upgrades?" game more often than we care to admit, but the crew at Car and Driver have taken bench racing to the next level with their latest video. In it, the magazine pits a brand-new 2014 SRT Viper against a highly modified 1997 Dodge Viper GTS. There are 16 years between the time this particular GTS rolled off the production line and when the new car bowed, but that doesn't mean the old snake's owners have been sitting on their hands.
Thanks to a spate of modifications, the GTS offers up a better power to weight ratio than the new machine, but is that enough to overcome the technological leap forward represented by the 2014 Viper? We won't spoil it for you. You'll just have to check out the full clip below for yourself.
