To start with if you have less than 25 Feedback please contact us prior to bidding. Sorry to be this way but lately there has been a rash of low feedback bidders not following through with Ebay sales. If you don't have the funds do not bid. Read the terms and auction before you bid. This auction is for a 1970 Dodge Coronet 2 Door Hard Top. Although it needs a complete restoration it is a starting foundation to work with. This car has been in lengthy storage. We purchased it in a three car package. It has its original matching number 318, 2 BBL V-8 with Automatic Trans. The motor is stuck from sitting. We did put some penatrant in the cylinders but may have to pull heads to free it up. The car has Power Steering and Power Drum Brakes. Brakes are down from sitting also. The car originally had a bench seat but now has a pair of buckets seats (drivers side is a six way power seat). They are Mopar and of the same vintage as the car. All the glass is intact, windows all roll up and down fine. As far as the body is concerned it will need outer rear quarters (inner rear quarters are fairly decent), a passenger front fender, outer rocker skins. Inner rockers appear solid, passenger door is decent, drivers door has some rust through but very fixable, hood has a scoop and trunk lid is decent on the outside but does have rust on the inner lip. Trunk floor is tinned in and will need replacement. The front floor pans have rust holes on the left and right side and should be replaced. Rear floors all the way to the back are great. As far as the underside is concerned the torsion bars and sockets are solid but as is common the ends of the bar towards the rocker panels are gone. They do make a sleave and a reproduction replacement for this area. The gusset area where the rear springs mount is perfect and clean. The very rear tips of the rear frame rails where the bumper attaches are rusted out. No rear bumper. They sell this replacement part also. The roof on the car is actually quite nice but the sides of the vinyl top has peeled. If you have the time and patience and want a worth while affordable project this may be your car. Put it in the corner of your garage and pick away at it at your leisure. The wheels and tires are not included unless you want them for $350. Otherwise rollers will be installed. If you need a title in your state we are willing to register the car and with that and our dealer paperwork you will recieve a title. An extra $150 will be charged should you need this service. If you need time to pick up the car we are willing to store it as long as it is paid for in advance. We try to work with everybody to insure a smooth transaction. $500 non refundable deposit 24 hours after auction ends. Balance due 3 working days after. If you need more info or pics feel free to email or call us at 1-207-324-5568 Days or 1-207-432-2862 Eves and Sundays. |

Houston road rage incident devolves into all-out brawl
Tue, May 17 2016The video is no longer available. It appears the associated account has been terminated. Chaos erupted on a Houston freeway last weekend when an altercation spiraled out of control and ended up in a battle-royale style brawl in the middle of traffic. According to KTRK, David Dao and his daughter were traveling along FM 1960 on the morning of May 14 when they came upon a white Honda and a blue Ram truck parked in the right lane. The drivers and passengers of the vehicles were engaged in a spirited argument about something that had happened moments before Dao pulled up. Dao parked in his lane to block traffic in an attempt at making sure other drivers didn't hit the people fighting in the right lane, and instructed his daughter to start filming the incident in case they were needed as witnesses. As Dao's daughter filmed, the incident quickly escalated–harsh words were exchanged, a drink was thrown in a woman's face, and then the driver of the Ram kicked in the Honda's grille. "I couldn't believe it. As soon as he kicked the grille, I was like, 'This is going down now," said Dao. "I was thinking this is going to be bad. At that time, I knew because there was physical damage." As soon as the Ram driver kicked the Honda the entire situation went sideways and devolved into a huge brawl, with the people from both vehicles throwing wild punches and grappling with one another. A woman who was a passenger in the Ram attempted to break up the scrum but took a haymaker in the face for her troubles. Eventually, the fight broke up and the people returned to their vehicles which Dao assumed meant that the altercation was over. Apparently though, the Ram driver felt he hadn't made his point, and he reversed at high speed into the Honda, smashing the fascia and buckling the hood. The Ram then sped off westbound on U.S. 290 with the Honda on its tail. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the incident was not reported and there is no word what happened to the brawlers after they left the scene. Dodge Viper GTS-R goes back to old-school livery
Fri, 20 Jun 2014The Dodge Viper may have been around now for over 20 years, but as far as racing achievements go, 2000 was its finest season. That's when it won the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the GTS class trophy at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and its second consecutive title in the American Le Mans Series.
Since then, SRT Motorsports hasn't quite had the same success, withdrawing from Le Mans this year and shedding the Dodge name and its emblematic red and white livery for the SRT badge and a silver snakeskin theme. But now that the Viper is back under the Dodge banner, so too is the racing team returning to its classic livery.
Starting from the six-hour race at Watkins Glen next week, both the No. 91 and No. 93 Viper GTS-Rs will wear the red base color with twin white racing stripes that its more accomplished forebears wore on circuits around the world. And with it, maybe the Viper will return once again to the winner's circle at home and abroad.
Hackers stole Jeeps in Texas using FCA's internal dealer software
Fri, Aug 5 2016This article has been updated with details on how the thefts were carried out, and with comments from FCA. It seems the news regarding vehicle hacking continues to get worse, especially when it comes to products from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Last year, a Jeep Cherokee in St. Louis, Missouri, was wirelessly hacked from Pittsburgh. Nissan had to shut down its Leaf app because of vulnerabilities. Now, a pair of hackers in Houston, Texas, stole more than 30 Jeeps over a six-month period. The two were arrested by police last Friday while attempting to steal another vehicle. ABC 13 in Houston reports that police had been following Michael Arcee and Jesse Zelay for several months but were unable to catch them in the act until now. The two were using a laptop to connect to and start a vehicle. The thieves were able to access Fiat Chrysler's own DealerCONNECT software. After entering the vehicle identification number, the hackers were able to reprogram the cars' security systems to accept a generic key, according to The Houston Chronicle. Additionally, Automotive News reports that FCA subsequently updated the terms of use for its DealerCONNECT program. These thefts were not related to the UConnect remote hacks from last year. It was this footage that first led the police to Arcee and Zelay. The police began to follow and record the pair. That investigation eventually led to Friday's arrest. Both are charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. In addition, Arcee is charged with felon in possession of a weapon and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. According to ABC 13, Homeland Security is investigating more than 100 stolen FCA vehicles that they believe were hacked using this method. After their theft, the vehicles were brought across the border to Mexico. FCA is currently conducting an internal investigation into the matter. After this article was posted, the company reached out to Autoblog, stating "FCA US takes the safety and security of its customers seriously and incorporates security features in its vehicles that help to reduce the risk of unauthorized and unlawful access to vehicle systems and wireless communications. FCA US has been cooperating with Houston Police Department since they first started the investigation.
