For Auction is a Real WS23L7 1967 Coronet R/T. This is a correct 440HP, 4-Speed and Dana Car. It has the desirable 881 Bright Blue Metallic exterior paint with a Black and White Bucket seat console interior. I was saving this car for another time but I have too many cars at the moment. This is not a fire sale and I would like to see the car go to someone who will do the car right.
This R/T being a 4-speed is a rare and desirable car, one in four that year were four speeds the rest where automatics. The engine and transmission are long gone as is the Dana. There is an 8 3/4 in there now without its center. The body on this R/T is very solid. It has had floor patches, trunk well patch and a passenger side rocker repaired. However, they were done right. The car still needs the lower quarters repaired but the rust has been cut out and I have the replacement panels. Other than the two spots on the upper corner of the trunk well all rust has been cut out of the car and repaired. The floors, trunk floor, frame, undercarriage, hood, doors, fenders and roof are all rot free. There is just the typical surface oxidation but no scale, not crumbling heavy rusted rotted areas on the car. It needs to be broken down and sand blasted but this is a very solid car. All the specific hard to find expensive R/T parts are with the car. The R/T door plates, the hood scoop, the trunk finish panel, the grille center (although it has a missing part that can be fixed) 150 speedo etc. are all included with the car. All the interior trim, all the exterior window trim, drip rail moldings etc. are all also included. Not all of it is in pristine condition but is correct to the car and some can be used as-is and some may need some polishing, straightening etc. The hood lip molding is missing, the grille surrounds are there but they are in rough shape. The front and rear bumpers are in really good driver shape and I have all the glass except the windshield. All the glass is in great shape too. The correct 14X5.5 Magnum 500 wheels are with the car too. The console is not with the car or is the shifter. Having a good parts car would help in the restoration, but just for the small things like screws, bolts etc. The 150 Speedo dash is uncut and in great shape. The seats are really amazing. The buckets have rust free tracks and the bolts are not rusted or broken either. The drivers seat has no rips and other than just being dirty is in excellent shape. The passenger seat has some rips but also is in great shape. The rear seat is like new. This R/T is a restoration project. This is not a do a little work and be driving it next week. The car should be broken down and then put back together right. I would love to keep the car but I have a GTX I am doing and need the room. Overall this is a very desirable car and not too many of them are left! I will take a $250 paypal deposit but the final payment can either be cash or check. Obviously checks need to clear before I will release the car. I do not have a title for the car and it will be sold on a bill of sale only. I do not have the build sheet but the fender tag is there and all the numbers match up. Right now it is in my garage safe from the elements. I understand we all need time to make the logistics happen, and it can stay there until you can come get it or have it shipped, but I am not interested in storing the car as I need the room. Final payment is to be made within seven (7) days. |

Aficionauto drives Vin Diesel's fast and furious 1970 Dodge Charger
Mon, 15 Sep 2014The Aficionauto host Christopher Rutkowski has a real passion for original and replica cars from movies and television, whether they are from James Bond, Jurassic Park, or incredibly obscure Japanese shows. However, he might have outdone himself this time because he hopped into one of the biggest automotive stars of contemporary cinema. This 1970 Dodge Charger appeared in Fast & Furious and came back in Fast Five, where Paul Walker actually drove it. The menacing, black muscle car will make its return to the franchise in the seventh film, too.
The Fast and Furious Charger is a real beast no matter how you look at it. The interior is nothing more than two seats and a roll cage, and as the video shows, this thing vibrates constantly like a coiled mass of muscle ready to strike. The camera can barely stay in place most of the time. Also, Dom's Dodge is more than happy to do a smoky burnout and leave the driver partially deaf afterward from its wonderful, ear-splitting engine roar.
The Aficionauto also interviews the man who controls the keys to this beast. Bob Hartwig was once an F-15 pilot, but he also loved Hollywood vehicles. Now, he's a partner at Picture Car Warehouse, a company with about 850 cars that supplies vehicles to film studios. This Charger definitely seems to be Hartwig's favorite in the collection, as it should be.
2015 Ford Mustang vs. Camaro and Challenger [w/poll]
Thu, 17 Jul 2014The horsepower wars are tightening among the Detroit Three, as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger are getting bigger, more powerful, and yes, more fuel efficient.
That came into sharper focus this week as more information was revealed about the most insane Challenger ever - the 707-horsepower Hellcat - followed quickly by Ford's in-depth showcase of the 2015 Mustang in Dearborn.
It's shaping up to be a golden age for enthusiasts, and what's under the hood is becoming more important than ever.
2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat revealed [UPDATE]
Wed, 13 Aug 2014Almost immediately after we drove the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, we began wondering: what's next? Pumping 707 horsepower into the Challenger seemed so crazy - and so intoxicating - we just assumed that Dodge would try that trick again.
Rumors swirled about a Charger Hellcat. Frankly it makes even more sense than the Challenger version. The Charger is a bigger car, and Dodge has never been shy about dropping monster engines under its hood. Hell (cat), we've seen Charger mules running around town that appeared to be the super sedan.
And finally, it's here. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat was revealed today at a preview event near Detroit, and it will be a centerpiece of the Chrysler display this weekend at the Woodward Dream Cruise.
