For Sale is a nicely restored 1967 Dodge Coronet 440 convertible.

This car turns heads wherever it goes.  Mid-60s B-bodies have terrific lines, and convertibles in this condition are even more attractive.  The car is finished in its rare, original silver/blue base coat/clear coat color and dark blue top.  This Coronet includes power steering and brakes.  All accessories work including the power top.  The car was completely restored in 2008 and has only been driven 3,000 since that time.  Mostly cruising the neighborhood.

The Coronet has its original numbers matching drivetrain consisting of a 318ci, 230 HP V8,  The transmission is a smooth shifting, 3-speed 727 Torqueflight and the rear end is an 8 3/4 ” 2.94 limited slip.  New dual exhaust has been installed with a nice throaty sound.  The rear end was resealed, as was the transmission.  The engine has undergone a three angle valve job with new hardened seats to accommodate today’s unleaded fuels.

Electronic ignition was added for improved reliability. Fuel lines were replaced and the gas tank was flushed.  All mechanicals were completely gone through.  Complete new brakes were installed all the way around, including a new power booster, wheel cylinders, and rear brake lines.     The front end is tight and the suspension is in excellent working condition. Adjustable air shocks have been installed on the rear of the car.

Solid floors and laser straight body panels with no signs of rust.  The quarters were repaired correctly with new metal patch panels.  The original bumpers appear to have been re-chromed at some point due to the excellent condition and appearance.  All trim is there and in excellent condition.  I lost one of the V8 emblems but have purchased a replacement which will be installed prior to sale.   The front grill is flawless.  The convertible top has been replaced and is in excellent condition.    The paint and finish are in excellent condition. Not a “trailer queen” show car finish, but a 8 on a scale of 1-10.  No visible nicks or scratches.

Buyer says Dodge dealer gave him wrong Charger, failed to notice for 2 months

Wed, Dec 31 2014

Mistakes happen, and they happen all the time. But when that mistake means a customer doesn't get what he or she paid for, something's gotta give. That's what one Dodge Charger buyer claims he is trying to sort out with his local dealership. Two months after taking delivery, the owner (going by the user name Dakrbouncer4689 on Reddit) says he got a call from his local Dodge dealership reporting a little problem. He had ordered and paid for the Charger SXT (pictured above on the dealer lot), but was given a Charger SE instead. The SE being the lower trim level, this presented one set of problems – namely a $2,000 discrepancy in equipment, like a five-speed automatic versus an eight-speed, a 4.3-inch infotainment display instead of 8.4, heated seats, leather steering wheel, premium audio, remote starter and so on. The second set of issues is that the VIN number on the paperwork (including the registration and insurance papers) of course doesn't match that of the car itself. The dealer, having obviously made a rather large mistake, apparently called the owner in to sort out the mess, but according to the customer's account, things didn't go as smoothly. Instead of immediately working to address the problem, the salesman kept the owner waiting, acted like it was no big deal, and offered only to swap the cars with no compensation for the trouble. Fortunately, the manager proved more sympathetic and apologetic, and offered the customer three options: he could swap the cars (re-doing the tinted windows on the SXT that the customer had done on the SE and throwing in leather seats for free), he could keep the SE (with the dealership handling the paperwork, throwing in the leather seats, adjusting the price and refunding an extra $400), or they could cancel everything, return the car and part company. As we go to press, the Charger owner had yet to make (or at least share) his decision. But while the principle of caveat emptor makes us wonder how he managed to take home a different car from the one he paid for, clearly the salesman and the dealership made a pretty large mistake by presenting him with the wrong set of keys and letting him off the lot without double checking it all. Chrysler recalls small number of 2013-2014 cars and trucks over engine debris

Thu, 12 Dec 2013

Chrysler is recalling a small number cars over issues with their 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. The recall, which affects 522 examples of its 2013 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 models, as well as 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot CUVs has to do with potential debris in the balance shaft bearings.
The abrasive stuff can cause the oil pressure to drop, which could lead to the engine stalling or outright failure. This situation could at best leave drivers stranded and at worst lead to a crash.
Chrysler will begin notifying owners, who will need to report in to have the balance shaft module replaced. All repairs are naturally free of charge. Scroll down for the bulletin from NHTSA.
