I TRADED FOR THIS CAR OVER A YEAR AGO AND I CAN SAY OUT OF 50 ANTIQUES AND EXOTICS WE OWN, THIS HAS BEEN THE BELL OF THE BALL SO TO SPEAK. IT NEVER FAILS TO CRANK OR HAS NEVER LEFT US STRANDED. WE HAVE DRIVEN THE CAR ALL OVER THE SOUTHEAST IN LAST YEAR PUTTING ALMOST 5000 MILES ON IT IN THE YEAR. CAR IS SUPER POWERFUL AND HAS ENDLESS AMOUNTS OF ENJOYMENT WRAPPED UP IN THAT THROATY RUMBLE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD.
I HATE TO SELL BUT MY TWO CUDAS ARE KILLING ME RESTORING THEM SO I HAVE TO PART WITH THIS. THE CAR HAS BEEN FEATURED IN ONE LOCAL MAG AND JUST FINISHED A PHOTO SHOOT IN ATLANTA WITH ANOTHER. IT IS ALL ORIGINAL DOWN TO THE COLOR CODED BLOCK AND BUILD CARD IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THIS IS NOT A TRAILER QUEEN BUT A TRUE SURVIVOR. WE SANDED IT DOWN TO METAL AND USED A DODGE VIPER YELLOW BUT LEFT THE ORIGINAL YELLOW IN JAMBS ECT TO LET FUTURE OWNERS HAVE THE OPTION TO GO BACK ORIGINAL IF THEY WANT. IT WAS A KIND OF BUTTERNUTT YELLOW SEEN ON GM CARS OF THE YEAR. WOULD MAKE A GREAT SUPER BEE TRIBUTE OR IN MY OPINION LEAVE AS IS AND FEEL THE PASSION AND LOVE OF ONE OF THE FIRST MUSCLE CARS OF THE 60S
DONT SEE ALOT OF THESE AND IF YOU DIDNT GET A HEMI IN 66, THIS WAS THE PERFORMANCE MODEL FOR THE LINE UP. CAR RUNS AMAZING AND LEAKS NOTHING. ALL THE GAUGES WORK AS WELL AND THE LIGHTS ECT. THE CAR HAS NO RUST ANYWHERE AND HAS NOT BEEN PATCHED UP. ALL PANELS ARE ORIGINAL AND THE CAR LOOKS TO BE ACCIDENT FREE ALL ITS LIFE. THIS IS TRULY A RARE ONE OF A KIND CAR. THE SEAT HAS A SMALL TEAR IN DRIVERS SIDE BUT ITS A LL ORIGINAL INTERIOR AND THAT IS THE ONLY PROBLEM WHATSOEVER. I WOULDNT HESITATE TO DRIVE THIS CAR TO CALIFORNIA AND BACK.
ASK ANY QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING AND CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY AS WELL

Dodge Viper now available in matte finish
Tue, Jun 23 2015The prospect of buying a new Dodge Viper just got that much more enticing with the introduction of matte-finish paint direct from the factory. Available as part of the "1 of 1" customization program, the matte finishes aren't being offered in just a handful of colors like some other automakers do: customers will be able to specify a matte finish on any of the 8,000 colors that are already part of the program's palette. The matte finish option adds yet another step to the exhaustive hand-painting process that Dodge offers on the Viper - a painstaking endeavor that takes upwards of 145 man hours to complete. Specialists start by applying a base coat and a clear finish, followed by the paint and clear coat. The finished body panels are then smoothed with 1,000-grit paper and polished. A second sanding process is required for the matte finish before the application of a matte clear coat. Specify custom stripes (available in five colors or by custom order) and they're applied under the paint, not as decals on top. The availability of the matte finish in conjunction with the stripe options and new satin badging and fuel cap leads to over 50 million combinations. Needless to say, that means no two Vipers need ever leave the Conner Avenue assembly plant the same – though there will surely always be certain favorite combinations, especially on those units ordered from outside the customization program. Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker and Mopar '14 Challenger up the retro appeal
Wed, 06 Nov 2013The reborn Dodge Challenger might be getting a bit long in the tooth, having been on the market in its current form since 2008, but Chrysler isn't going to give up on its brutish, full-size two-door just yet. For this year's SEMA Show, the Challenger will be getting a new Mopar edition, as well as a retro-cool shaker hood on the 5.7-liter, Hemi-equipped R/T models.
As we mentioned last night, the Shaker Package will cost $2,500, but includes the Super Track Pak (new steering rack, brake linings, upgraded shocks and 20-inch Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car tires), a $595 option on its own. The shaker hood result in a performance bump of any kind, but the blacked-out, pop-up scoop is a nifty feature that hasn't been seen on a production car since the Ford Mustang Mach 1 in the early 2000s.
The Mopar '14 Challenger (pictured right) follows the cues of previous Mopar Editions, which have included the 2010 Challenger, 2011 Charger, 2012 300 and 2013 Dart. Only 100 Mopar '14 Challengers will be produced, and they'll include the new shaker hood, Mopar's distinctive blue graphics and wheels, and whatever is pilfered from the accessory catalog.
Towing with the 2016 Ram lineup [w/video]
Mon, Nov 2 2015I do not tow things. Ever. Yet I recently found myself at the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles proving grounds in Chelsea, MI, where I'd be testing the hauling capabilities of Ram's current product range. This experience was not only a perfect education for a towing novice like me, but allowed me to tow far more weight than I'd ever consider hauling the real world, and all within the safe confines of the Chelsea Proving Grounds. There was an extremely diverse array of vehicles at my disposal, including Ram's gasoline- and diesel-powered offerings with trucks ranging from the 1500 on up through the 5500 Chassis Cab, as well ProMaster vans. Beyond that, FCA brought out a number of vintage Dodge pickups for me to play with, while also working with Case IH to provide a track-loader I could test. I put together a range of videos covering everything from the classics to the production trucks to the construction equipment. And despite some technical difficulties – you'll notice a distinct lack of in-car videos, with blame going to a corrupted micro SD card – I've assembled ten videos that give an up-close look at Ram's offerings. 2015 Ram ProMaster City Let's start small. The ProMaster City only has a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds. That's a reasonably impressive figure for a van that uses the same powertrain as a Chrysler 200. The 2.4-liter four-cylinder and nine-speed automatic weren't really bothered with the extra weight added by the trailer. Even when accelerating at freeway speeds, the ProMaster City didn't feel out of breath or hampered by its load. That said, the rear of the van was unloaded, which probably wouldn't be the case for most consumers. It's unclear how the City would feel if its driver were taking advantage of the max payload (1,883 pounds) and towing. 2015 Ram ProMaster 1500 To be polite, the Ram ProMaster is a difficult vehicle to like. Its awkward seating position is bus-like and lacks the visibility enjoyed by the Ford Transit or the utter driving comfort of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Its 3.0-liter, four-cylinder turbodiesel engine, meanwhile, is something of an anomaly. While it's potent for a four-cylinder diesel, producing 295 pound-feet of torque and 174 horsepower, those numbers don't feel all that impressive when loaded down. The model I tested was barely using half of its 5,100-pound maximum towing weight and was loaded down with just 500 of its 3,620-pound payload. Yet it lacked the pluckiness of the smaller City.
