1966 Dodge Coronet 500 2 door hardtop. This car is in pretty good condition. Some of the brightwork needs some attention, but overall it's in good shape considering the age. Always garaged, and NEVER driven in the rain. It has a  440 magnum big block with a Torqueflite 727 automatic transmission. The transmission was just completely rebuilt. It had developed leaks and had never been touched in its life so it was time. The engine has a large cam(not sure of lift or duration) but it is a thumper. Horsepower it well over 475 to 500. Edelbrock semi-rise Torquer intake manifold, and carb. It accelerates well.handles well and brakes very well. The front brakes have been converted to 67 Disc, while the rears remain original drum configuration. Paint is in great condition, and the interior is in pretty good shape considering its age. A new carpet set is probably in the future. Everything works except the stock radio ,and the gas guage reads a little funky every once in a while.I like to listen to the music the engine makes not the radio, but that's just me.It stands on 15" rims with the dog dish caps to give it the more aggressive look. Brand new 2 1/2" stainless exhaust with Magnaflow 40 series mufflers. The exhaust tips exit behind the rear wheels for a very "60's" look. This car sounds really wicked not only on idle, but upon acceleration. Car is located on Vashon Island,Washington, and has a clear title. Serious buyers only. $2,000.00 deposit through paypal and final amount via bank transfer ONLY. Please don't bother to ask what my reserve is, it's not fair to the other bidders. I reserve the right to end this auction before the deadline. Thanks

Watch the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat verify its 204-mph top speed

Thu, Jan 29 2015

The industry is producing some ridiculously fast four-doors these days, from the Porsche Panamera and Maserati Quattroporte to the Mercedes E63 AMG and BMW M5. But the fastest of them all doesn't cost six figures. It doesn't even come from Europe. It's made right here in North America, by a US automaker. And it starts at under $64k. We're talking about the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, the Pentastar muscle sedan with the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 and its 707 horsepower. Dodge claims it's the "quickest, fastest, most powerful [production] sedan ever," and they're not just blowing smoke... or smoking tires. During the final stages of development, engineers from Auburn Hills took a bone-stock, Hellcat-powered Charger out to a seven-mile oval for a top speed run and they filmed the occasion for posterity. The result? 206.9 miles per hour with the wind, 202.2 against it, for a two-way average top speed of 204.55 mph. Chew on that, imports.

2014 Dodge Dart Blacktop glosses over performance

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

The Dodge Dart is a decent little car. It's honest, basic transportation, and many of us at Autoblog are genuinely fond of the Alfa Romeo-based compact sedan. For 2014, not a whole lot changes in the Dart world, save the addition of this new Blacktop edition that makes its debut here at the Detroit Auto Show.
It's all very simple, this Blacktop package, and doesn't actually alter performance in any way. Instead, buyers are treated to blacked-out exterior bits like 18-inch wheels, the crosshair grille and headlamp bezels. Inside, black/tungsten or black/red cloth seats are available, with red contrast stitching throughout the cabin.
Adding the Blacktop pack to your Dart SXT with the Rallye Appearance Group will set you back a scant $295, and while it's just an appearance package, it all looks pretty nice to us.

Dodge to resurrect Scat Pack?

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

Before social media ever existed, if automotive enthusiasts wanted to be noticed or recognize other fans, they joined a car club. For Dodge muscle car lovers from 1968 through 1971, that group was known as the Scat Pack. Just like the Charger, Challenger and Dart nameplates, it looks like the Scat Pack could be getting a resurrection by Chrysler.
Automotive News is reporting that Chrysler recently renewed its trademark on the Scat Pack name, and while this is in no way a guarantee that the name will return, AN talked to Tim Kuniskis, Dodge President and CEO, who stoked the fire a little more. In the article, Kuniskis said that the name is "a very important part of our history" and added that "we like the whole idea of having a Scat Pack of cars." Scat Pack models were identified by their bumblebee stripes and helmet-wearing bumblebee logo, and the idea of a modern Scat Pack doesn't seem all that outlandish in light of recent vehicles like the Charger SRT Super Bee and the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Concept.
What do you think, is this a cool idea, or is it just an unwelcome bit of nostalgia? Have you say in Comments.
