Hello, The city has asked me to clean up my parking lot and remove some of my antique vehicles. This Dodge Coronet is a one family owned vehicle with a stack of documentation including receipts and maintenance records. This car has had almost $3000.00 of parts and labor invested into it over the last couple years including all new brake lines, master cylinder, rebuilt wheel cylinders, fuel tank removed flushed and reinstalled, new fuel lines from the tank to the engine, brand new tires along with new tubes, new coil, plugs, wires etc. The car runs really well and lot drives but needs brake work and will need towed. The inside of the car is in original unmolested condition and shows its age but is complete. The exterior is solid and appears to be original paint that would easily shine up. Car will need floors patched and/or replaced. This car does have the GYRO-MATIC 4 speed transmission and seems to work as it should. Car has always been garage kept. I would like to keep this one but I can not afford to store it indoor and obviously do not have the room on my lot to keep it any longer. Car is sold as is with no warranty .It does come with a clean title. I am offering the car starting at a very fair starting price. Must sell. Thanks for looking. Hennessey's Dodge Challenger Hellcat cranks out 1,032 hp
Mon, Feb 22 2016Enthusiasts know the Dodge Challenger Hellcat produces 707 horsepower. It's one of the modern muscle-car era's iconic numbers. But for some, that's not enough. Enter Hennessey Performance. The Texas tuners loaded the Hellcat with a twin-turbocharger that works with Dodge's supercharger to boost output to 1,032 hp and 987 pound-feet of torque. Yes, that's an engine dyno rating, not at the rear wheels, but still! It's a little more complicated than a bolt-on booster. Called the HPE1000, the turbo kit has stainless steel headers and down pipes, billet aluminum compressor wheels, and a high-flow air system. There's also an an improved fuel pump, and the engine and chassis are specially calibrated. You also get numbered plaques signed by John Hennessey himself and the engine tech who builds your mill. All of this helps get your Hellcat to 60 miles per hour in 2.7 seconds, and it can do the quarter mile in 9.9 seconds at 142 mph. The Hellcat and it's 6.2-liter blown Hemi V8 are not for the faint of heart. Hennessey makes this Dodge downright demonic. MotorWeek revisits the awesome, original Dodge Viper
Sat, Jun 6 2015MotorWeek is bringing the automotive world a wonderful blast from the past with its latest Retro Review. Not only does the video feature the now-famous, original Dodge Viper, but this is also a chance to watch one lapping Pocono International Raceway in a test of track prowess. This segment was MotorWeek's first chance to unleash the Viper around a racecourse, and the show took advantage of the opportunity. In addition to the usual 0-60 mph and quarter-mile tests, the 400-horsepower V10 is let loose to do lap after lap. The clip offers a great dose of nostalgia and is worth a watch to remember the intense enthusiasm surrounding the Viper at the time.
This SEMA special drag race is absurdly awesome
Fri, Dec 5 2014The SEMA Show came and went last month, and it showed us a ton of heavily modded goodies to dream about during the long, cold winter. The Motor Trend Channel on YouTube is keeping the party rolling a little longer, though, with a drag race inspired by the aftermarket event. All of the hosts were supposed to borrow a vehicle from the show for the big race, but only two of them actually cajoled companies into lending their wares. Still, the result includes four very cool and extremely different examples of the breadth of the automotive hobby. First up, there's a 1955 Chevrolet with a 535-cubic-inch (8.8-liter) Hemi V8 stuffed under the hood. Appropriately, it's dubbed the Blasphemi, and with skinny tires up front, fat rubber in the rear and a stripped interior, this this is made to go very fast in a straight line. Next, there's a stock Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat boasting 707 horsepower. Plus, host Jessi Lang has her dog riding shotgun for the race. A Chevy Sonic RS with some body mods, downpipe and intake is also competing. Finally, the most bizarre of the quartet is a custom 1958 Jeep Forward Control with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and treads to replace the wheels. Obviously, the Blasphemi and Hellcat are the only two that really have a chance of winning, but check out the video to see which one crosses the finish line first.
