This is a rare SE and RT....auto on tree as all SEs are.  I got the car in 2004 and totally restored every surface down to the metal...including new quarters and trunk and back valance ....all new metal in 2007.  Never seen rain since.  Original paint color to match build sheet (SEE PHOTOS).  new vinyl roof...new front glass...
long list of things that come to mind....
1) new top quality leather seat covers from legendary seats.
2) New front hood and rear trunk lid since the  others had some minor dents...still have the old trunk lid etc.
3) motor was rebuilt before I got it..starts right up after sitting two months...carb and alternator are new...AND carb has original numbers...just rebuilt.
4) new stainless lifetime exhaust....
5) new door panels including top door panel - $500 alone.
6) cruise control works and does rear defog fan ....SE items only.
7) everything on dash works....including tic toc tack and clock...extra set of gauges tastefully placed by previous owner under dash....works perfect and more accurate than original gauges ... that also still work sluggishly - typical.

8) new head liner...and dash has no cracks....no crack anywhere  in interior..except very small tear in center arm rest that I just never got around to replace.
9) new chrome bumpers front and back.
10) perfect mechanical condition with new alt and battery..full power...no issues with strong motor.
11) All SEs had air...and has all parts but I never got it working...needs a new dryer or something...?
11) New shocks front and back 2009.
12) trunk area appears as new and fresh.
13) has two complete data plates and one build sheet (for this car)....also build sheet from another car was under seat...dont know why.
ALl lights work and new plastic grill was installed at time of  restoration.

14) In garage all season and driven at least once a month.
15) new gas tank....etc
16) NEWLY REBUILD AND PROFESSIONALLY RESTORED FRONT GRILL AND HEADLAMPS.

Car is solid AS A ROCK and cleans up for top shows.  No rust anywhere.

many other things done....all in receipts.

Only needs a new carpet...was so nice that I kept the original...
car was well cared for as the previous owners meticulous mileage records testify.

Has to be seen to be appreciated....in leawood Kansas...(Kansas City)

IF YOU BUY THE CAR, I WILL NEED A WEEK TO PAY OFF THE SMALL REMAINDER OWING TO BANK, IN ORDER TO GET TITLE.

Say goodbye to the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200

Wed, Jan 27 2016

Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne outlined an update to the company's five-year business plan Wednesday, and among the changes, the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200 sedans will soon be phased out. The company's presentation to investors states that the "market shift from cars to trucks and UVs [utility vehicles is] now seen as permanent shift in demand," and FCA wants to respond as quickly as possible. Killing the 200 and Dart will allow FCA to build more Jeep and Ram models at the Sterling Heights, MI, and Belvidere, IL, plants where the sedans were produced. We already knew FCA was planning to shift 200 and Dart production to Mexico, to free up the Sterling Heights facility for Ram 1500 production, and the Belivdere site for Jeep Cherokee output. The Cherokee will move from its current home in Toledo, OH, to allow for increased Wrangler production. It's no shock that FCA wants to shift its focus to crossovers and trucks. In December 2015, for example, combined sales of the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200 were 15,310. The Jeep Cherokee, which uses the same platform as the Dart and 200, outsold both models combined, with 24,049 sales. Both the Dart and 200 had troubles from the beginning. Marchionne recently blamed designers for the 200 not receiving a Consumer Reports 'recommended' rating, and the Dart was one of the lowest-scoring cars in a CR reliability study. Dodge Challenger Hellcat X is 805-hp worth of charity [w/video]

Mon, Jul 20 2015

Donating to charity is good for the soul. You feel good and help out those in need, and while you should donate out of the goodness of your heart, there's nothing wrong with getting something in return. That's doubly true if that something (or somethings) happen to run on gasoline... a lot of gasoline. For just $3 (plus $40,000 in taxes), you could park not one, but two high-powered Mopars in your driveway. The big item, of course, is the world's most powerful Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Dubbed the Hellcat X after the XF6F, a twin-charged US Navy prototype that evolved into the Hellcat fighter from World War II. Its 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 has been supplemented by a turbocharger, boosting output to 805 horsepower. Because, you know, 707 just wasn't quite enough. It should be noted that the Hellcat X isn't a production model – Fiat Chrysler isn't going to be putting a twin-charged Hemi into production – but that it's a one-off job built for the 2015 Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle. Joining the Hellcat X is a handsome, black 1970 Challenger 440 R/T. Complete with a four-barrel carburetor (yeah, we were hoping for a Six Pack, as well), a pistol-grip shifter, and menacing black paint, this exact car was the star of 2012's "Revolution Reborn" television spot. And if this car's on-air claim to fame isn't enough, rest easy knowing you're the owner of just one of 100 black 440 R/Ts produced in 1970. Now, single tickets do start at $3, although there are larger bundles available, including a $5,000, 6,000-ticket package. Proceeds from the drawing, which is being put on by Dream Giveaway, will go towards New Beginning Children's Home charity, which issues grants to everything from the National Guard Educational Foundation to Mothers Against Drunk Driving. You can check out more on the Hellcat X in the video, below. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.

Dodge Charger Hellcat and Tesla Model S P85D in Motor Trend Head 2 Head battle

Thu, Apr 30 2015

One has James Bond Mode, Insane Mode, Creep Mode, and, yes, Insane Creep Mode. The other has 707 horsepower and is a heck of a lot cheaper. But which one is the bigger American badass? We figure most people already have strong opinions on the Dodge Charger Hellcat and Tesla Model S P85D, and they aren't likely to be swayed too far in the opposite direction by another person's viewpoint. Still, we think you'll enjoy watching the video above. In it, Autoblog friend and Motor Trend "Head 2 Head" host Jonny Lieberman summons smoke, shares smiles, and spouts spiels about both cars, finally finding one just slightly more badass than the other. Which ridiculously ludicrous American sedan takes top honors? Watch above to find out.
