These 440 Six Pack cars were actually quicker off the line than any other Mopar out there including the HEMI. According to the Chrysler Registry and a full Galen Govier personal inspection report, only 178 Charger R/T 440-Six Packs were made in 1971 and only 80 were 4 speed cars. This car is 1 of only 80 made. This car is also the 11th car of only 11 made in the Lynch Road Michigan assembly plant. Factory Hi-Impact Hemi Orange paint and rare factory Slick Top. Fully documented by Galen Govier, this car has two Broadcast Sheets, two Trim Tags, a complete ownership history and service history from day one. She has just 69200 ACTUAL MILES!  Completely original except for a flawless repaint in its original HEMI Orange (EV2) nearly 10 years ago. The Hemi Orange paint remains FLAWLESS today. Paint is brilliant, bright & shiny with absolutely NO abrasions or defects at all. Overall rating would be a #1 to 1-. She is ABSOLUTELY Beautiful. Original factory body and trunk markings are still on the car. Chrome and trim is perfect with no pitting or hazing anywhere. Body is pin straight, has no bondo and has never been hit. Rust or pitting on any part of this car is not even a thought. Undercarriage is as nice as the rest of the car. Interior is immaculate and again, 100% original. AM radio still works as does every feature, all gauges, speedo, odometer, lights, signals and everything else. The car starts, drives and shifts flawlessly and 1st thru 3rd gear can throw you back in your seat from pure muscle. Power brakes and no power steering; a true Muscle Car combination back in the day and a sought after combination today. Car cover complete with name and VIN is included in sale.

Dodge Charger R/T NHRA Funny Car is ready to burn rubber at SEMA [w/video]

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

The Dodge Charger R/T is all set to rocket down the drag strip in NHRA Funny Car competition with a completely redesigned body debuting at this year's SEMA Show. While only the front decal, side scallops and rear logo really signal this racer as a Charger, that doesn't take away from its promise of hitting absolutely ludicrous speeds.
The engineers' biggest tweak to the body was moving the cockpit further back. This created more clearance under the hood, and the change came with added advantage of giving the driver better visibility out of the car. Composites like Kevlar also helped make the one-piece shell even lighter, while not sacrificing strength.
The new design has already undergone extensive time in the wind tunnel and real-world runs to make sure that none of the changes negatively impacted the aerodynamics. With those tests out of the way, the Charger R/T Funny Car will have the first chance to truly prove itself in NHRA competition at the 2015 Winternationals from February 5-9 at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, CA.

Dodge Dart getting hatchback variant... sort of

Thu, 25 Apr 2013

In other parts of the world, Fiat builds and sells a version of the Dodge Dart called the Viaggio, and it appears that in addition to the current sedan bodystyle, a new hatchback version of the car is also in the works. Autocar says that the general manager for China's Guangzhou-Fiat joint venture, John Burton, has confirmed that a new Viaggio hatchback will be revealed by the end of this year before it goes on sale in early 2014.
The Viaggio will soon be joined by the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which in China will be called the Liberty Light, at the Guangzhou-Fiat plant. While the idea of a Dodge Dart hatchback might be enough to enable most of us to forget about the Dodge Caliber, a North American variant doesn't appear to be in the cards. We reached out to Chrysler PR boss Rick Deneau, and he offered a succinct: "No plans at this time."

Dodge Challenger Hellcat drift video is pure horsepower porn

Fri, Mar 27 2015

We could listen to the whining, snarling 6.2-liter Hemi V8 in the Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcats all day long. The noise just sounds like power that's being barely restrained and is everything about a muscle car that's right. The team at Pennzoil apparently understands that allure, too. The oil company has a new video where it lets the engine roar for over a minute, while a Challenger does some big, smoky drifts through an abandoned city. The whole stunt is edited together in a slickly produced way that looks fantastic. Although, the big finale might go a little too far and starts straining believability. Nonetheless, the Hellcat's wonderful noise is still the star of this show. Related Video:
