Being offered is a very nice, solid and clean 1971 Dodge Charger-One of the nicest running/driving muscle cars I have ever owned-

Engine/trans are non numbers low mileage transplants from a 72 satellite around 75k miles-318 cu.in. added a Mopar performance intake-carter AFB 625 cfm carb and a set of headman headers all new gaskets.

Dual X pipe exhaust and Summit flowmaster mufflers exit out back with stainless exhaust tips.

Paint is dark torredor red metallic base coat clear coat-very presentable but minor flaws throughout-consider the car to be very good driver quality-not quite show..

Interior has recovered cloth bucket seats and rear bench, New carpet, B&M floor shifter, standard instrument cluster, CD player, someone added a sunroof at some point, the headliner could be stretched a little better and the dash has a cap.

There is no visible rust on the body or undercarriage-frames and floors are all intact.

Other details include 71 R/T stripe package, Go wing, brand new aftermarket steel wheels with new BF Goodrich tires(15x6 fronts-15x8 rears tires larger in the rear,)
8 3/4 rear end unknown ratio, hood pins and a cowl hood scoop.

Overall a very nice car presentable at any cruise night- Priced reasonable, easy car to perfect or drop a big block into over winter.

As always no warranty expressed or implied-this is a 40+ year old car, I have it licensed , insured and have been driving it locally without any issues though I would still recommend towing/transporting it home.
Delivery is the buyers responsibility, I can work with your transport company.
I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is for sale locally-Please do not bid if you don't intend to buy.

Full amount due at or before pickup/via secure bank transfer, buyer is responsible for pickup and shipping. Sold as is where is-no returns

Dodge Viper GTS-R goes back to old-school livery

Fri, 20 Jun 2014

The Dodge Viper may have been around now for over 20 years, but as far as racing achievements go, 2000 was its finest season. That's when it won the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the GTS class trophy at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and its second consecutive title in the American Le Mans Series.
Since then, SRT Motorsports hasn't quite had the same success, withdrawing from Le Mans this year and shedding the Dodge name and its emblematic red and white livery for the SRT badge and a silver snakeskin theme. But now that the Viper is back under the Dodge banner, so too is the racing team returning to its classic livery.
Starting from the six-hour race at Watkins Glen next week, both the No. 91 and No. 93 Viper GTS-Rs will wear the red base color with twin white racing stripes that its more accomplished forebears wore on circuits around the world. And with it, maybe the Viper will return once again to the winner's circle at home and abroad.

2003-04 Dodge Viper recalled for sudden airbag deployment

Fri, 15 Feb 2013

As if driving the old Dodge Viper (not the fancy new SRT model) isn't intimidating enough, imagine trying to wrangle that V10 beast and then suddenly having the airbags deploy. Yikes. That's apparently what could happen to some 3,660 Viper models from the 2003 and 2004 model years, and as such, Chrysler has issued a recall.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, part of the car's airbag control module may fail, causing the bags or seatbelt pre-tensioners to deploy without warning while the vehicle is in operation. That's a dangerous scenario in any car, let alone one offering insane horsepower a near-total paucity of safety nannies should things get squirrely.
Owners will be notified this month about the recall, though a remedy is not expected to be available until later this year. Scroll down for the full NHTSA statement.

Our interview with Jeremy Clarkson and James May, plus SEMA! | Autoblog Podcast #491

Fri, Nov 4 2016

This week, David Gluckman and Mike Austin talk SEMA madness, mis-aligned steering wheels, wireless charging, McLarens (they're sports cars!), and decals. We also have an excerpt from a recent interview with James May and Jeremy Clarkson of The Grand Tour and Top Gear fame. As always, we talk about a variety of cars we've been driving and then respond to some questions from listeners. And as a bonus, there's a trivia question mixed in. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want questionable buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. Oh, and please send trivia questions! You'll get the honor of stumping your fellow listeners, and we'll thank you too.
