1969 Dodge Charger R/T Track Pac car-- I had built this car in my mind long before I actually even owned it. This is a real R/T 4 speed car, but created to be much more, yet look completely stock. The car was orig green with tan interior. When I bought the car it was wearing an older restoration, I redid pretty much everything on the car--the paint is deep Black with multiple coats of Black, trunk has been lined with bedliner to avoid the inevitable Mopar trunk surface rust, Left rear QTR was replaced prior to my ownership.--all the chrome has been redone, front and back windows have been replaced, interior is all new Legendary( I also have a black vinyl top and new checkmark chrome and the side vinyl molding thats been repolished, all new lenses on car, restored grille, headlights open and close as they should--I went back and forth on the vinyl top--but think it looks better without). The front end has all been rebuilt, new front disc brakes, rebuilt back brakes, new master cylinder. Refaced the gauge cluster with tic-toc-tach all gauges work. New fuel tank, fuel lines, new emergency brake cable. The most exciting thing about this car is the motor--it is a 600hp monster--it has aton of torque and will fry the tires, yet it idles and runs perfectly. I upgraded the trans to a tremec TKO 600 5 speed to be able to enjoy the motor and run on the freeway, I also upgraded the cooling system to a BeCool alum radiator with dual electric fans so I would never overheat. New Tti headers and 3" exhaust. This car runs and drives perfect--I wanted a 69 Charger that would roast the tires yet be reliable and be able to drive. I have the orig 4 speed matching # trans as well as the orig radiator thats been recored. This is a beautiful car--Ive spent over 75k on the car and am very meticlous about my cars and having them run perfect and look perfect--and although no car is perfect and I have driven and enjoyed this car--its not far from it--anyway if you have any questions feel free to email me--Im easy to deal with. The car has the fender tag and the build sheet and some paperwork from the 90's from the previous owner. here is a link of engine running http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GE6ZUhVHwSo

Best car infotainment systems: From UConnect to MBUX, these are our favorites
Sun, Jan 7 2024Declaring one infotainment system the best over any other is an inherently subjective matter. You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. All that said, our combined experience tells us that a number of infotainment systems are at least better than the rest. WeÂ’ve narrowed it down to five total systems in their own subcategories that stand out to us. Read on below to see our picks, and feel free to make your own arguments in the comments. Best infotainment overall: UConnect 5, various Stellantis products Ram 1500 Uconnect Infotainment System Review If thereÂ’s one infotainment system that all of us agree is excellent, itÂ’s UConnect. It has numerous qualities that make it great, but above all else, UConnect is simple and straightforward to use. Ease of operation is one of the most (if not the single most) vital parts of any infotainment system interface. If youÂ’re expected to be able to tap away on a touchscreen while driving and still pay attention to the road, a complex infotainment system is going to remove your attention from the number one task at hand: driving. UConnect uses a simple interface that puts all of your key functions in a clearly-represented row on the bottom of the screen. Tap any of them, and it instantly pulls up that menu.
Dodge gives 2015 Viper slight power increase, new GT model
Tue, 02 Sep 2014With its troubling sales figures, the newly rechristened SRT Dodge Viper needs to come out swinging for 2015. To do that, Dodge has made a number of tweaks and changes that will hopefully carry the V10-powered sports car into more successful days.
First up for 2015 is a new GT model, which aims to marry the reasonable price of the base car with the adjustable suspension and trick stability control program of the GTS model. The GT also sports a cabin that's covered in Alcantara suede and Nappa leather as standard.
Also new for 2015 is the SRT TA 2.0 Special Edition, which expands on last year's Viper TA by adding new aerodynamic bits and bobs, including a larger rear wing, which ups downforce at 150 miles per hour from 278 pounds to 400 pounds.
