1969 Dodge Charger, Built 440/727, P/s, Disc,custom Paint & Interior, Runs Great on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
Up for auction is a BEAUTIFUL 1969 Dodge Charger, with a built 440 and a 727 trans. The motor has less than 1500 on her, and same with the trans. The car is wearing a custom paint job, Sunpoppy Yellow with gold pearl. The body is in great condition and no rust issues. The car was completely restored a few years ago, and still looks great. She runs great and will spin the tires with no problem. The engine sports a Steel Crank, 906 heads with hardened valve seats, Purple Cam, and topped off with a 750 Edelbrock. The car has new wiring front to rear, and a custom interior! There is a few small bubbles in the paint near the drivers rear tire, and a few little chips from over the years. Overall the paint is in nice condition. The car has been in many shows, and won a few but, she is not a trailer queen. I have a book full of receipts for the build and tons of pictures from when she was stripped down to bare metal, and completely restored. The car will be sold to the highest bidder, as there is NO RESERVE!! I have clear title in hand for the car. I will listen to all offers to end the auction early but, please do not insult me with low ball offers! Engine/ Trans: The engine is a 1969 HP motor that is .030 over. This is not a numbers matching car! The engine has about 1500 miles on her and she starts right up and runs great. Like I said, steel crank, 906 heads with hardened valve seats, purple cam, Edelbrock intake/ carb, Headers that lead down to dual exhaust. The trans has a shift kit and she shifts nice. The driveshaft is new, and that leads back to a 8 3/4 rear with a Sure Grip and 3:23 gears. The complete drive train is in great condition and very low miles. Interior/ Exterior: The interior is black and yellow, with a new headliner and custom seat covers. The console s in nice shape with no cracks. The dash is in decent shape, no perfect. The windows roll up and down, doors close ok. There are no rips or tears in the seats, and there are new seatbelts in there also. Door panels both look good and match the interior scheme. The exterior sports a older paint job that still shows very well. The body was stripped down to bare metal before she was painted. The trunk looks great and the floors are rock solid also. There are NO RUST issues with the car. It was originally a Texas car. The lights all work fine, and the car has brand new wiring harness throughout from Year One. The car is a PROJECT type car! The winning bidder is required to pay a $1000 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of winning the car! The car is being sold " As Is" due to it's age. The deposit must be paid through Paypal. The remaining balance is due within 3 days of the auction closing, and the final payment may be made with a Cashiers check, wire transfer or cash in person. The car must be picked up within 2 weeks of the auction closing, and my zip code is 89131 for shipping purposes. Please email me with any questions, and good luck!!

Coal-rolling Ram dually does tandem beer-shooting burnout with ATV in bed
Fri, 25 Jul 2014Sometimes a video comes around that just makes you shake your head in disbelief. Take for example these guys from Nebraska in their dually diesel flatbed Ram, doing a smoky burnout. Lighting up the tires is nothing new, but these folks take things a step further by having another guy on an ATV in bed that is also smoking the tires. Finally, people are sitting on a couch in the bed taking the whole show in, as beer cans shoot out of the stacks.
There have been several stories recently about the scourge of rolling coal, i.e., diesel trucks modified to lay down a thick, black smoke screen, sometimes for vaguely political reasons. Whatever your opinion is on it, breathing in this much nasty stuff isn't exactly great for your health. Of course, it turns out that burning rubber is pretty awful, too. Both diesel and tire emissions contain cancer-causing Group 1 carcinogens. Combine them with the cigarette smoking here, and these guys are an oncologist's nightmare. Scroll down to take it all in for yourself. Warning, there is a little explicit language.
Stellantis will enter joint venture with Samsung SDI for EV batteries
Tue, Oct 19 2021SEOUL — South Korean battery maker Samsung SDI Co Ltd and global automaker Stellantis NV have agreed to jointly produce electric vehicle (EV) batteries for the North American market, a person familiar with the matter said on Tuesday. Samsung SDI, an affiliate of South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics, already has EV battery plants in South Korea, China and Hungary, which supply customers such as BMW and Ford. "The two companies (Samsung SDI and Stellantis) have struck a MOU (memorandum of understanding) to produce EV batteries for North America," the person with knowledge of the matter told Reuters. The source spoke of condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter. The person said the location of the battery joint venture is under review and will be announced later. In July, Reuters reported that Samsung SDI may build a battery plant in the United States, citing a company source. South Korea's Yonhap news agency earlier reported the two companies plan to build a factory in the United States, citing industry sources. Samsung SDI and Stellantis did not have immediate comment when reached by Reuters. Stellantis on Monday struck a preliminary deal with battery maker South Korea's LG Energy Solution (LGES) to produce battery cells and modules for North America. Shares of Samsung SDI were up 2.6% as of 0300 GMT, versus a 0.6% rise in the KOSPI benchmark index. NHTSA investigating 110,000 Ram 2500s and 3500s, one death alleged
Fri, 23 May 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation focusing on 110,000 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups from model years 2004 to 2006. One death has already been reported, according to NHTSA, due to a potential fault with the clutch interlocks on manual-transmission versions of the heavy duty pickup.
According to the report, these trucks can be started without depressing the clutch. There have been three reports so far, and as we mentioned above, one very sad incident seems to have resulted in the death of a child.
"One complaint involved an incident that occurred when a child was able to enter the vehicle and start the ignition without depressing the clutch. The vehicle then moved forward striking another child resulting in a fatality," NHTSA said in the investigation bulletin, which you can view below.
