This is a 1966 Dodge Charger 426 Hemi, two-four barrels, 4-speed, dana rear end, all original car. This car was driven from 1966 until the early '70's. I painted this car approximately in 1972 when I was fifteen years old for my second cousin. Then he parked it in his brother's garage next to a 1964 GTO - there was no insurance and the building burned in 2010. The fire was in the building behind the cars then the roof fell in. I tried to buy it for years and so did many others, but, he would only sell the drive train. I finally got him to sell me the complete car and the registration. I have since washed the outside, loosened the belts, put four airable tires on it, also have put some fluids in the spark plug holes and have had it setting. I have not attempted to try to have it turn over, the fire does not seem to have burned un der the hood on the engine at all. It has burned on some of the electrical on the left cowl side towards the dash. It did not burn any of the spark plug wires and it still has the original air filter and oil in it. As far as I can see this car is complete and is all here. This is a very rare find. I believe this to be a numbers matching car. Please email any questions. 2014 Dodge Dart Blacktop hits the pavement ahead of Detroit
Tue, 07 Jan 2014Dodge is getting ready to spread the Blacktop-themed love to the smallest member of its lineup. Last year, the automaker offered up Blacktop versions of the Avenger, Challenger, Charger, Durango, Grand Caravan and Journey. And now the Dart, too, gets its dark on for 2014, with the $295 package offered on Dart SXT models equipped with the Rallye Appearance Group. The Dart Blacktop will make its debut at the Detroit Auto Show next week.
As with the other Blacktop special-edition models, the Dart Blacktop gets glossy black accents for a "sporty, sinister look." The blacked-out treatment spreads across the 18-inch wheels to the crosshair grille, grille surround and headlamp bezels. The interior sees a similar treatment, with black and light tungsten or black and ruby red cloth to go with red accent stitching on the instrument panel, center console and seat bolsters.
For the 2014 model year, all Dart SXT and Limited models receive the 2.4-liter MultiAir2 Tigershark engine with 184 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque, and since the Blacktop is based on the SXT, that's the powerplant buyers of this special-edition will get, too. Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

So after Chevy released the new Corvette Z06, we knew it was only a matter of time before it would have to square off against the Viper TA. And what better place to pit these two parallel pillars of American performance than on the drag strip? Fortunately that's just what we have here. In one corner, the 2014 Dodge Viper TA, with its 8.4-liter V10 pumping out 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. In the other, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the supercharger on its 6.2-liter V8 more than making up for the discrepancy in displacement and cylinder count to produce 650 hp and just as much torque.
