This is a SERIOUSLY NICE CAR I have too many Projects 1972 Dodge 340 4-Barrel 240HP, 727 Torque-Flite Automatic, 83/4 Shur-Grip Rear End all Number Matched, CHALLENGER. 1972......Before the EPA came along and ruined ALL the FUN. When you open the hood all you see is 340 cubic inches of MOPAR small block engineering. This 340 does have a Holley 4-barrel carb, otherwise it's factory NON-Smoking, NON-Leaking, NON-Oil Burning, 240 Horse MOTHER MOPAR That Runs and Sounds Dang GOOD thru a year old Flow-Master Dual Exhaust with Chrome Tips. Automatic 3-speed 727 Torque-Flite Tranny Shifts on the spot and thru a 83/4 Sure-Grip will get you Down the Road without hesitation. The interior is almost perfect with no cracks in the dash or trim, Head liner and all seats redone, Heck even the original AM/FM radio sounds Good. All gauges, lights, blower, horn, even the cigarette lighter and dome light work. Glass is in beautiful condition All sheet metal is clean and rust free and Straight as a Pin. You can't find many 43 year old cars in this condition. She has a few issues, but so did I at This age, Fortunately they are minor and you could drive her for years, but I would consider a re- paint with GOOD STUFF, no clear coat crud. Fiat Chrysler taps Amazon, Shell execs to fill roles
Fri, Dec 7 2018MILAN — Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is tapping executives from Amazon and Shell Oil Company with previous automotive industry experience to fill its ranks. CEO Mike Manley said in a letter to employees Thursday that Mark Stewart would join FCA as chief operating officer of North America from Amazon, "a company known for its culture of innovation, and obsession with delivering incredible value to customers." At Amazon, Stewart led teams focused on advanced robotics, artificial intelligence and automation methods. He previously was COO of ZF TRW automotive components supplier. Niel Golightly was named head of global communications. He was most recently Shell's vice president for external relations in North and South America, with a focus on reputation, brand and stakeholder engagement beyond communication strategies. SRT reveals Satin Vapor Edition 300, Charger and Challenger SRT models
Fri, 07 Feb 2014With the exception of some notable truck and van introductions, Chrysler brands have tended to use the Chicago Auto Show to bring out new special editions, pimp their aftermarket parts support or indulge in the occasional flight of fancy. That plan is holding true for 2014, as well. Cases in point are these new Satin Vapor Editions of the 2014-model-year Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 - all from SRT.
The Satin Vapor name may sound like a failed 1970s glam-rock band, or a pseudo-gynecological diagnosis from the Old West, but is, in fact, pretty much a tape-and-trim package for this trio of hi-po Mopars. 300, Challenger and Charger alike come shod with 20-inch aluminum wheels finished in Black Satin Vapor Chrome, and are accented with Satin Black bits aplenty. The 300 gets blacked-out mirrors, spoiler and roof; the Challenger applies it to mirrors and its fuel door; while the Charger has the stuff covering its roof, hood and Super Bee tail graphic.
Interiors of the cars have been mildly updated as well, with all three getting some combination of Nappa leather, ultra-suede and carbon-fiberish finishes.
Dodge lets us drive 100-years' worth of history [w/videos]

A raft of important production models from the last hundred years were available for me to either drive or ride in.
Dodge is 100 years old this year. So, as happened on Ford's recent centennial, the 50-year birthday of the Porsche 911, and others, the company has an excuse to trot out the highlights of its history next to its upcoming model lineup, and declare that "these are the fruits of the Dodge Boys' tree whose roots have grown strong." Or something like that. Never so hampered by marketing skepticism that I'll pass up the opportunity to burn someone else's rubber, I was happy to drive out to Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, MI - former grand estate of the Dodge family - to hear the spiel.
