This is a SERIOUSLY NICE CAR I have too many Projects 1972 Dodge 340 4-Barrel 240HP, 727 Torque-Flite Automatic, 83/4 Shur-Grip Rear End all Number Matched, CHALLENGER. 1972......Before the EPA came along and ruined ALL the FUN. When you open the hood all you see is 340 cubic inches of MOPAR small block engineering. This 340 does have a Holley 4-barrel carb, otherwise it's factory NON-Smoking, NON-Leaking, NON-Oil Burning, 240 Horse MOTHER MOPAR That Runs and Sounds Dang GOOD thru a year old Flow-Master Dual Exhaust with Chrome Tips. Automatic 3-speed 727 Torque-Flite Tranny Shifts on the spot and thru a 83/4 Sure-Grip will get you Down the Road without hesitation. The interior is almost perfect with no cracks in the dash or trim, Head liner and all seats redone, Heck even the original AM/FM radio sounds Good. All gauges, lights, blower, horn, even the cigarette lighter and dome light work. Glass is in beautiful condition All sheet metal is clean and rust free and Straight as a Pin. You can't find many 43 year old cars in this condition. She has a few issues, but so did I at This age, Fortunately they are minor and you could drive her for years, but I would consider a re- paint with GOOD STUFF, no clear coat crud. Chrysler Group moves around execs in wake of recent departure
Tue, 16 Apr 2013Chrysler is busy shuffling executives around in the wake of Ram head Fred Diaz's departure. The automaker has named Reid Bigland (pictured, right) as Diaz's successor in the role of president and CEO of Ram, though Bigland will continue his duties as the head of US sales and the president and CEO of Chrysler Canada. Bigland first came to Chrysler in 2006 from Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, so the guy knows a thing or two about trucks.
Meanwhile, Timothy Kuniskis will take over as president and CEO of Dodge. Previously, he served as the head of Fiat in North America and has been with Chrysler in one capacity or another since 1992. His old title now falls to Jason Stoicevich, who will also continue to work as the director of the automaker's California Business Center. Finally, Bruno Cattori will take over as the president and CEO of Chrysler Mexico.

Dodge Challenger spied exercising supercharged Hellcat Hemi V8
Wed, 23 Oct 2013One of the prime complaints against the Dodge Challenger is that, even in SRT8 guise, its 470 horsepower is responsible for hauling over 4,200 pounds of vehicle. For comparison, the 420 hp in the Ford Mustang GT only has to deal with 3,618 lbs. Things only get worse from there, as the higher-performance variants of both the Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro are far more powerful than an SRT8 without adding on much heft.
So what is Chrysler to do? The correct answer is add a whole lot more grunt to its hefty two-door and even the odds. That's where the all-new Hellcat engine comes into play. We reported on this engine in May, and suggested that the Hellcat, a supercharged powerplant based on a 6.4-liter V8, would easily generate 500 to 570 hp and could likely arrive boasting more than 600 ponies.
Chrysler's ace in its sleeve has now been spied testing, with a number of Hellcat-equipped Challengers running the potent new engine both in more urbanized areas and under the sun of Death Valley. The hoods on these testers have been raised to accommodate the engine, and that camouflage over the fascias of these prototypes is there to hide a larger air intake. We also note what appears to be a new split grille under wraps. As for power output, our spies are now suggesting a Viper-equalling 640 hp from the Hellcat-equipped cars.
Chrysler extending production of current Dodge Avenger, Jeep Wrangler, Grand Caravan
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Are you hesitant to pull the trigger on a brand new Dodge Avenger in hopes that a new one will be coming? Well, don't hold your breath. According to The Detroit News, Chrysler will be extending production of the current Avenger sedan through the end of 2015.
Originally, we heard that the company would kill the Avenger to better focus its midsize sedan efforts on the Chrysler 200 replacement. But then new reports stated there would indeed be an Avenger successor, and that we could see it as early as next January. This Detroit News report cites supplier sources confirming the extension of Avenger production, though Chrysler has not released an official statement on the matter.
These same suppliers say that the current Jeep Wrangler will live on through mid-2018 - that's right, another five years. The Detroit News reports that a replacement for the iconic, go-anywhere Jeep was due in mid-2016.
