1971 Dodge Challenger R/t 440 4 Speed on 2040-cars
San Clemente, California, United States
Engine:440
Mileage: 79,330
Model: Challenger
Trim: R/T
Exterior Color: panther pink
Interior Color: Black
Drive Type: 3.23 Posi rear wheel
The R/T Panther Pink 440 4 speed has all the earmarks of the finest E-body,s for 1971. They did not even offer pink that year, in fact this is GB5 paint coded blue. Was an Automatic and was a 340. So as you can see the car is incorrect to be original. Keeping all the 71 parts and hardware so appearing stock. Engine is fresh rebuilt and lopes with a purple cam. The car needs a wiper motor installed, and the clock redone. Everything else mechanically is new. The radiator ,hoses ,belts ,waterpump ,engine, clutch ,differential 3.23,Cal Tracs, balanced new driveshaft, and ,all suspension ,including the rear leafs are fresh. The H.P exhaust is all new and sounds great. All new brake lines, master, booster, bearings, green rears, and rotors on the front. Fuel tank and sender new. Chrome new, painted Panther Pink years ago and presents really well. Emblem holes on the R/T hood are painted over and need to really be smoothed where they were. So paint and all body lines are super, just the hood emblem holes look bad. The stripes are Pheonix Graphics and custom made. there are no leaks from anything. I invested approx. 45 grand and selling to pay off some other cars. Need at least $36,500 to sell it. Bid if you want to own it. All others , Thanks for looking.

Ram exec: first 30-mpg pickup truck will 'win'
Fri, Aug 8 2014It is totally possible, today, to take the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel pickup truck, load it up with gear and people, and drive it from Texas to Michigan while getting 38 miles per gallon. We know because we did it. Officially, though, the 1500 gets just 20 mpg combined. A more impressive number is the 28 mpg on the highway. Bob Hegbloom, the Ram brand director, thinks that there's a more important fuel economy target to hit: 30 mpg. Whichever truck company can manage that feat, he recently told Automotive News, "wins." It's kind of an obvious thing to say, but in the 1500 with both the EcoDiesel and the V6 Pentastar engine, Hegbloom said, "fuel economy is so important." Hegbloom didn't promise that the next EcoDiesel truck will manage to get on up over the 30 hump, but he did say that Ram is not sitting still when it comes to fuel economy. "I just want to have continuous improvement and to keep gaining every day," he said. "We sat still in the past and it doesn't lead to a great place."
Dodge gives 2015 Viper slight power increase, new GT model
Tue, 02 Sep 2014With its troubling sales figures, the newly rechristened SRT Dodge Viper needs to come out swinging for 2015. To do that, Dodge has made a number of tweaks and changes that will hopefully carry the V10-powered sports car into more successful days.
First up for 2015 is a new GT model, which aims to marry the reasonable price of the base car with the adjustable suspension and trick stability control program of the GTS model. The GT also sports a cabin that's covered in Alcantara suede and Nappa leather as standard.
Also new for 2015 is the SRT TA 2.0 Special Edition, which expands on last year's Viper TA by adding new aerodynamic bits and bobs, including a larger rear wing, which ups downforce at 150 miles per hour from 278 pounds to 400 pounds.
NHTSA investigating Ram 1500 models for rear differential failure
Mon, 30 Jun 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and its Ram brand following a number of reports regarding the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. According to 15 consumer complaints, the trucks' rear differential locked up while in other cases, the driveshaft separated at its connection to the diff.
Nearly half of the reports claim the truck was traveling at or above 50 miles per hour, while two consumers reported that the diff lockup/driveshaft separation sent their pickups into a spin. Most troubling, though, is that consumers reported little to no sound indicating there was a problem with their truck.
We reached out to Ram for additional information, such as how many vehicles may be affected or what equipment might be fitted that could cause the issue. Unfortunately, the company wasn't willing to elaborate on specifics.
