Up for auction is a 1971 Dodge Challenger Convertible 383 4 bbl triple black 2 fender tag car. This car is very original and complete with a clear title. This car is a running driving vehicle. This car is one of 126 with the 383 auto convertible in 1971. Furthermore it has some very desirable options such as air conditioning, power windows, power top, power steering, power brakes, rally dash, 3 speaker stereo, and the best part triple black color combination. The car VIN matches the body, door sticker, fender tags, partial build sheet, and engine. This car is in the Galen registry as well. Mechanically the car is sound, although it does need a brake booster and has a transmission leak. All power options work with the exception of the passenger side quarter glass. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recalls nearly 750k vehicles in two campaigns
Thu, 16 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling a total of 747,817 vehicles in the US in two separate campaigns recently added to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration database.
The first one covers about 434,581 units of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger, Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee from the 2011-2014 model years with electric hydraulic power steering, the 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 160 amp alternator, according to FCA. In the affected vehicles, it's possible for the alternator to fail without warning and possibly cause the car to stall. According to the documentation submitted to NHTSA, the automaker began investigating the problem in August 2014 and has found possible evidence of one crash caused by the failures but no known injuries.
Customers will begin receiving notification about the recall next month, and obviously the repairs will be done at no cost to them.
Gauging reaction to the 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit on Detroit highways
Sat, Feb 7 2015Steven Ewing and I kind of pretended to be cops a few weeks ago. No, not in the illegal way; we just took turns driving the 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit around Detroit and its suburbs, learning invaluable life lessons along the way. A lot of those lessons came in the form of weird reactions from other drivers. Steve peeved his neighbors by surprising them in the parking lot, I can damn close to sitting in jail next to a murderer and we both caught our fair share of evil-eyed glances. One of my very first observations was a pronounced "bubble effect" when driving in traffic on the highway. Attempting to recreate the effect for the video camera, I grabbed Senior Producer Chris McGraw and we went for a ride in the name of pseudo psychology. The results weren't exactly as we'd predicted, but we had fun all the same. Get one more dose of your cop car fix, above.
