Thanks for checking out my add. I'm selling a 2006 Dodge Caravan with low miles and a Pennsylvania Rebuilt title. I bought the van as an insurance loss due to interior damage. The nature of the damage was vandalism; some of the seats and carpet were cut up, paint was splattered around the interior, and food was smeared into some of the fabric and interior panels. I completely stripped the interior of the vehicle, and throughly cleaned all surfaces. I was able to restore some of the interior components to very good condition, everything I couldn't clean was replaced. There was ABSOLUTELY NO damage from collision, flood, mechanical, ect... When the new carpet was installed it was cut slightly short near the gas pedal, however this isn't very noticeable because of the floor mat. The interior is now very presentable. On the outside of the vehicle there are two minor flaws; a small scratch below the driver door keyhole, and a dent in the driver side rear quarter panel. Neither of these can be seen from a few steps away. The tires have about 60% tread, and the battery is brand new. The motor and tranny are in perfect condition. I encourage anyone to come take this van for a test drive to see how well it runs. The van has manual windows and locks, it does however, have ac. I originally bought the van for my mom, but after a while she decided it was too big for her to park. There's no extra parking space where I live so the van is currently being stored in a storage unit. I'm trying to sell this as quickly as possible so this is a no reserve auction. I also have the van for sale in my local craigslist and pennswoods, so if someone buys it from there first I reserve the right to end the auction early. My listing price on those websites is $5500. I prefer a face to face cash transaction, there is a AAA in town to handle the paperwork. If you need to have the vehicle shipped we'll figure something out with the payment. In that event I recommend finding a REPUTABLE company on uship, I've had good experiences with them. 121k Dodge Darts being investigated over braking problem
Mon, Jun 22 2015The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating the Dodge Dart due to reports of braking problems. Some 121,000 cars are possibly affected, all from the 2013 model year. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA received 18 complaints about the brake pedal becoming hard to depress on these cars, increasing stopping distance. Drivers reported hearing a "pop noise or an air hissing noise when applying the brake pedal, followed by a hard pedal feel and reduced brake effectiveness," NHTSA told the News. In a particularly terrifying incident, one driver says the Dart's braking system shut down while driving at 50 miles per hour. "I feared for my life. It is one of the scariest things I have ever dealt with," the complaint said, according to The Detroit News. A Fiat-Chrysler spokesperson said the automaker is "fully cooperating" with this investigation.
Dodge Charger Hellcat hitting 60 in 2.9 seconds on drag radials?
Thu, 02 Oct 2014The Dodge boys and their cousins from SRT have shoehorned the same 707-horsepower, 6.2-liter supercharged V8 into both the Dodge Challenger and Charger. The former being a two-door, it's lighter than the latter four-door sedan. So it would stand to reason that the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat would be the quicker of the two, right?
Only that's not necessarily proving to be the case. On stock rubber, yes, the coupe beats the sedan: Dodge quotes a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds for the Charger SRT Hellcat and 3.5 for the Challenger. Same gap across the quarter-mile: 11 seconds flat for the Charger versus 10.8 seconds for the Challenger. But according to recent reports, the story changes when you put both on drag radials.
While visiting Chrysler HQ in Auburn Hills, MI, TorqueNews.com caught wind of performance figures for the Charger Hellcat on drag tires: 0-60 in a mind-blowing 2.9 seconds and a quarter-mile in just 10.7. The latter figure just barely pips the Hellcat-powered Challenger's NHRA-certified figure of 10.8, making the Charger not only the fastest sedan on the market, but also the fastest muscle car. What isn't immediately clear, however, is whether the drag radials in question have any tread on them and are street-legal, or if they're pure slicks confined to a closed strip.
Chrysler minivans under investigation for stalling after fuel refill
Wed, 10 Sep 2014According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, at least one man has reported that his 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan stalled unexpectedly on the highway shortly after being refueled. The unidentified man who contacted NHTSA regarding the issue cited as many as eight similar instances reported by other drivers.
NHTSA has announced that it will launch an inquiry into this issue, which could affect as many as 160,000 minivans from Dodge and Chrysler that were sold in 2007 (or more, if a problem is found that extends to additional models years, we'd assume). As of yet, there's no formal investigation, let alone a recall, on these vans, as the agency is merely determining if further action is needed.
Two months ago, Chrysler recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles, the majority of which were minivans, from the 2008-2010 model years to replace ignition switches after an investigation found that their weak springs and detent positions could fool a driver into thinking the car was in the "Run" position, when it's actually in the "Accessory" position.
