2003 Dodge Caravan Se Mini Passenger Van 4-door 2.4l No Reserve! on 2040-cars
Fayetteville, North Carolina, United States
You are bidding on a used 2003 Dodge Caravan SE. Vehicle is in good running condition with low mileage, the 4 speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly and the 2.4 liter DOHC engine has quick acceleration in the city and cruises effortlessly on the highway. Brakes are in good working condition, the 215/70/15 tires have good tread remaining, the tire in the photo has the most wear. I removed and checked the compact spare and it is at the correct 60PSI, the jack is present in it's storage compartment. The Dodge is currently garaged so I was able to check the AC and it blows cold. All of the dash controls are working (turn signals, headlights, hazard flashers, horn, heater along with all 4 fan speeds, front and rear defrosters and front and rear wipers and washers. The am/fm CD player is an aftermarket Pioneer model and is in good working condition. Overall the interior is in good condition with visible wear and stains on the rear carpet (see Photo), the headliner is intact with no sagging. As with all the vehicles that I have sold on ebay I have added new spark plugs, air filter and front and rear wiper blades and the gas tank is close to 3/4 full. An engine code came up during a check (code 442 small emissions leak) I replaced the gas cap with a new one and the code went away. Overall the exterior has the usual scrapes and dings typical for an 11 year old vehicle, there is a noticeable dent on the rear passenger side door near the handle (see photo), there is a crack in the plastic on the front grill passenger side (see Photo), paint has worn and peeled at the rear of the drivers side sliding door (see photo). some of the roof paint is faded. There is a small rust spot on the corner of the passenger side headlight (see photo). The NC title is clear and can be notarized on site. As with all the vehicles that I have sold on ebay this vehicle is being sold as is without any warranty. I am an experienced mechanic so feel free to ask any questions before bidding.

Dodge Scat Pack for 5.7L Hemi V8 detailed, priced
Sat, 05 Apr 2014Dodge revived the Scat Pack name back in November at the 2013 SEMA show. At the time, though, we were short of details on forthcoming upgrade packages, which were destined to add some oomph to the Challenger, Charger and Dart. We're still waiting to hear about the upgrades to the Dart's 2.4-liter four-pot, but Dodge has gone ahead and released the details on the upgrades to the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 in the Challenger and Charger R/T.
As we detailed in our original post, three different Scat Packs will be available that will allow customers to upgrade their cars without voiding the warranties. Starting with the $2,195 Stage 1 kit, owners will net an extra 18 horsepower and 18 pound-feet of torque thanks to a Mopar-branded cold-air intake, exhaust and ECU ref lash. Stage 1 is also the only package that could be installed outside of a Chrysler-authorized service center without voiding the warranty (a mechanically competent owner could even do it at home, we're told by Dodge). Stage 2 builds on the entry level Scat Pack, and adds performance camshaft kit, which boosts output over the stock 5.7 by up to 30 hp for $1,895. As with the Stage 1, the ECU is tweaked.
For those that want to go whole hog, they can add the Stage 3 for $4,995. The top-tier gets quite serious, adding CNC-ported cylinder heads, as well as high-flow headers and cats. Output over stock is 58 hp and 47 lb-ft of torque. Each kit comes with a pair of badges, just in case owners want a bit of visual flair.
121k Dodge Darts being investigated over braking problem
Mon, Jun 22 2015The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating the Dodge Dart due to reports of braking problems. Some 121,000 cars are possibly affected, all from the 2013 model year. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA received 18 complaints about the brake pedal becoming hard to depress on these cars, increasing stopping distance. Drivers reported hearing a "pop noise or an air hissing noise when applying the brake pedal, followed by a hard pedal feel and reduced brake effectiveness," NHTSA told the News. In a particularly terrifying incident, one driver says the Dart's braking system shut down while driving at 50 miles per hour. "I feared for my life. It is one of the scariest things I have ever dealt with," the complaint said, according to The Detroit News. A Fiat-Chrysler spokesperson said the automaker is "fully cooperating" with this investigation.
Dodge, Jeep and Ram could soon be owned by Chinese automakers
Mon, Aug 14 2017For the past several years, Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has made it widely known that the automaker he helms is up for grabs. First, he sent an email to GM CEO Mary Barra, who immediately refused to even discuss a merger. Later, Marchionne set his sights on Volkswagen. That too was swiftly rebuffed. It seemed like no global automaker was remotely interested in a partnership. Now, Automotive News reports that several Chinese automakers have come calling, only FCA isn't ready to answer. At least not yet. The news broke this morning that a major Chinese automaker had made an offer to purchase FCA for slightly above market value. FCA refused, saying the offer wasn't quite generous enough. It's unclear which automaker made the offer, but Automotive News says there's more than one interested party. FCA representatives have recently traveled to China to meet with Great Wall Motors, while Chinese representatives were seen at FCA corporate headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich. The Chinese government has a lot of money invested in local automakers. It's putting pressure on these automakers to expand globally, including to the United States. As it stands, it's a matter of when a Chinese automaker will start selling cars here, not if. Purchasing an established automaker with a wide range of products and a huge dealer network would do wonders in giving the Chinese a foothold here. Sure, Geely owns Volvo, but a luxury automaker doesn't have nearly as much reach as a more mainstream company like FCA. This seems like the best case scenario for both a Chinese automaker looking to move into the U.S. and for FCA, at least from a business standpoint. The latter doesn't seem to have any other interested parties. It will be interesting to see how FCA would sell a deal like this to the public. We're not sure everyone will be happy with Dodge, Jeep and Ram falling under Chinese ownership. FCA didn't turn down the Chinese because they didn't like the idea. It turned down the offer because there wasn't enough money on the table. Related Video: News Source: Automotive News Earnings/Financials Alfa Romeo Chrysler Dodge Fiat Jeep RAM
