Dodge: "330" 2 Door Sedan 330 on 2040-cars

1963 Dodge 330 2 Door Sedan. I drove it to a couple of cruise nights and put it in storage in 2004. It currently is on a California Non-op and has been since 2005. A California Non-op keeps the car in the DMV system but is not allowed to be driven on California roads till registration is made current. The previous owner said he had taken it to the drags a couple of times but I don't know how it did. I don't know a lot about the build of the car but from a binder full of receipts that I received from the previous owner and my observation, it has a 440 Engine with an Automatic transmission (with high stall converter) 3:55 posi-traction rear end, Edelbrock Carb., MSD ignition, Hedman Hedders, and a Sunpro Powerline Performance Tach. The pictures tell the story. I believe the car to be an original California black plate car from the Modest, Ca. area. Most of the receipts are from 1997 and 1998. This car has not been restored. I have done nothing to the car but drive it a couple of times and put it in storage.

Cruiser's close call caught on camera
Mon, Dec 21 2015A new recruit to the Kansas Highway Patrol experienced his first brush with danger on his first day when a semi truck clipped his cruiser during a traffic stop last week. Public relations officer Tod Hileman said in a Facebook post that the incident occurred when an officer and his brand-new trainee pulled over a black Dodge Charger on I-70 in Trego County, Kansas. Hileman said in the comments that the cruiser was parked two feet away from the white line on the shoulder. Not only did the driver not get over a lane when he saw the stopped cruiser per Kansas law, he seemed to have moved closer to the side of the road. The big rig managed to send the cruiser's side mirror and spotlight flying across the road. The truck could have easily injured one of the officers, perhaps fatally. The truck driver ignored Kansas' Move Over law, which requires "drivers approaching a stationary emergency vehicle displaying flashing lights, including towing and recovery vehicles, traveling in the same direction, to vacate the lane closest if safe and possible to do so, or slow to a speed safe for road, weather, and traffic conditions." With a clear lane to his left the trucker in this case had no excuse. He stopped after the crash and was cited by the officers for failing to change lanes when he saw the stopped vehicles. Being a cop is a risky job. So far this year, 28 officers have lost their lives in the line of duty due to car accidents, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page. Dodge Charger R/T NHRA Funny Car is ready to burn rubber at SEMA [w/video]
Wed, 05 Nov 2014The Dodge Charger R/T is all set to rocket down the drag strip in NHRA Funny Car competition with a completely redesigned body debuting at this year's SEMA Show. While only the front decal, side scallops and rear logo really signal this racer as a Charger, that doesn't take away from its promise of hitting absolutely ludicrous speeds.
The engineers' biggest tweak to the body was moving the cockpit further back. This created more clearance under the hood, and the change came with added advantage of giving the driver better visibility out of the car. Composites like Kevlar also helped make the one-piece shell even lighter, while not sacrificing strength.
The new design has already undergone extensive time in the wind tunnel and real-world runs to make sure that none of the changes negatively impacted the aerodynamics. With those tests out of the way, the Charger R/T Funny Car will have the first chance to truly prove itself in NHRA competition at the 2015 Winternationals from February 5-9 at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, CA.
