I’m offering a very clean you can say restored 1973 240z, Vin#HLS30-141595, with the original rebuilt L24 and rare automatic transmission. The 240z is very solid and in excellent running condition and can be used as your daily driver or garage queen.  Shops are very impressed on how well this Z runs and handles. The exterior has a new 2-stage paint finish with the original 114 Brown and new OEM Nissan emblems all around. The interior was restored and presents super well and clean.  It has the original Blue California plates with the exposed original 1973 sticker. The vehicle is currently on non-op with DMV therefore no registration fees will be accrued during transfer in state or out of state.  It has a clean California title. I have title at hand.  2 seat of keys will be provided and manual.

Gas mileage is good. Vehicle is fully tuned with fresh oil, oil filter, NGK spark plugs, NGK spark plugs wires, pcv, new fuel and vaccum hoses and a very clean engine bay. Never over heats.  Doesn’t burn oil. Nice spark plug burn. No need to do anything just put gas a go!

  Disclaimer:

I encourage you see the car in person if all possible. I made ever attempt to describe the vehicle honestly to the best of my ability. It is my opinion that the vehicle is in excellent condition. As with new and used cars there might be issues I overlooked on that note no warranty is offered or implied, sold as is. You may notice normal wear and tear on the inside and outside of the vehicle and minor imperfections that’s because its 40 years old and although it was serviced regularly it’s still a used car.  Many new Nissan parts and original refurbished parts where used to preserve the originality. The passenger side floor pan was partially repaired work appears to be within standards.  Please ask questions via ebay emai or you have any questions please feel free to contact (714)718-1131.

Meet the man who took a year sabbatical to drive his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.

Autoblog Podcast #339:

Fiat contemplating sub-brand to compete with Dacia, Datsun

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

You can add Fiat to the admittedly short list of automakers considering a low-cost brand to rival Dacia. The inexpensive Eastern European brand from Renault-Nissan has performed on the balance sheet like a premium model line, and the money the alliance is taking off the table is encouraging other players to deal themselves in. Pretty soon Nissan's Datsun sub-brand will join the Dacia party, going on sale in Russia, Indonesia and India and will claim even more rubles, rupiahs and rupees for the parent company. Volkswagen recently said it will make a decision this year on a budget line for the Chinese market. With the euthanasia of Lancia and plans to move the Fiat brand upmarket, company CEO Sergio Marchionne wonders aloud to Automotive News Europe whether there could be room for a new budget brand underneath Fiat.
We're told that the initiative has been in the idea box for five years and even moved to the stage of name considerations, like Innocenti, but worries about profit kept it from realization. If such a range were to be developed, Marchionne says it couldn't be built in Italy and stay within budget, and the company is "analyzing its manufacturing capacity outside of Europe to see if a low-cost brand is viable."
