If you looking for trailer queen, sorry this is not the car for you. Car drives beautiful and brake no problem. It comes with Holley 4 Barrel Conversion that mounted on a Bob Sharp Manifold for easy start up and easy to tune. It sounds good too. I had drove the car to CT, NJ, PA, Upstate NY during driving season couple of trips per year (250miles total round trip) it doesn't miss a beat or left me strained on the road. I will not hesitate driving this car anyway when weather is good. Front left fender got hit and run, it put a dent on the fender as see from pictures. Driver side floor pan has rust, it need to fix. You can either get it patch or replace the whole thing, the part is cheap, ebay# 171248319309 . Passenger side floor pan is solid. Rockers has bubble show up and right side rocker start to has rust at the bottom. The edge of the corner of the hood has rust as well, but you could just sand it down and get it paint. Other than that, this is a solid driver. This car comes with rare option air condition, it doesn't blow cold air like modern car, but it works blowing cool air that you expect from any classic car. It has stock AM/FM radio as well, it works 50/50 most of the time. The wire is loose somewhere I suspect. Techno meter and clock work when weather gets warmer or they will works when you drive the car a while. I change oil every 3k miles, no exception. Any questions please feel free to message me. First new Datsun in decade sketched, set for Indian reveal
Mon, 01 Jul 2013Nissan's Datsun nameplate revival will begin with two models bound for the Indian market. Nissan has released sketches of a five-door hatchback based on the Micra (codenamed K2) and a top-down view of a hood that could potentially be from a sedan.
The company's press release says all will be revealed on July 15 in New Delhi, India. The Datsun lineup will be first offered in 2014 to that country's ride-deprived residents as well as Indonesia and Russia. Later in 2014, South Africa will join the list.
We've heard Nissan plans for Datsuns to share platforms with company-owned Lada. In January, we heard the projected price tag could be around $3,000 USD to compete with Chinese imports. The official press release (which can be read in full below) says nothing about either of these reports, however.
Meet the man who took a year sabbatical to drive his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster
Tue, 28 Jan 2014A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.
Datsun officially reborn with Go model for India [w/video]
Mon, 15 Jul 2013In March of 2012, Nissan announced the return of its historic Datsun brand. Datsun used to represent the Nissan brand in a number of markets, but its badge hasn't been worn on a new model since 1981. In 2013, though, it has been relaunched as the Japanese manufacturer's budget offering in the emerging markets of India and Russia.
The model that will lead that charge, at least in India, is the Go, a car that pays tribute to the very first Datsun, the DAT-GO.
The operative term with the Datsun brand is: "budget offering." Don't step inside the Go and expect beautiful hides or brushed metals (it's being sold in India, after all). The instrument cluster features a simple speedometer, while the five-speed manual and the center stack above it are rather barren. It's not without luxuries, though, as iPod-style connectivity is available through a Mobile Docking Station.
