This is a PROJECT CAR. 1982 Datsun Nissan 280 ZX Coupe T-top non turbo. I bought the car 3 months ago. I started to fix it up, but the housing area I live in will not let me work on it anymore. I need to sell soon! All the work I did is my lose, your gain. I had the car towed to a mechanic shop and was told needs electrical issues fixed/ignition switch/computer/sensor.
I have done several things already: New fuel pump, fuel lines, fuel filter, and fuel injector. Valve Cover Gasket New Distributor Cap, rotor, and coil New spark plugs and wires New Battery and wiring connectors (4) new tires on original rims and center caps are clean!! New air filter Comes with new brake pads and oil filter (just bought them) Car does not run, will turn over but will not drive, will need to be towed. Car does have rust on passenger side mainly at rear spare tire well and rear deck. Drivers side great. NO SHIPPING, local pick up only please. $500 non-refundable deposit required within 24 hours of end of auction, balance due at time of car pick up, no personal checks. Cash or bank check at pick up. Malaise Era All-Stars
Fri, 17 May 2013A few weeks ago, we bid a fond happy 40th anniversary to the automotive dark ages of 1973-84 that have come to be known as "The Malaise Era" - the performance ice-age when 160 horsepower was a lot and a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds was remarkable. Like music in the 1980s, everything in automobiledom didn't suck, however. There were a few bright spots. Here are five of our favorites:

Roadkill pits every project car against each other
Sat, 22 Feb 2014The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.
Datsun officially reborn with Go model for India [w/video]
Mon, 15 Jul 2013In March of 2012, Nissan announced the return of its historic Datsun brand. Datsun used to represent the Nissan brand in a number of markets, but its badge hasn't been worn on a new model since 1981. In 2013, though, it has been relaunched as the Japanese manufacturer's budget offering in the emerging markets of India and Russia.
The model that will lead that charge, at least in India, is the Go, a car that pays tribute to the very first Datsun, the DAT-GO.
The operative term with the Datsun brand is: "budget offering." Don't step inside the Go and expect beautiful hides or brushed metals (it's being sold in India, after all). The instrument cluster features a simple speedometer, while the five-speed manual and the center stack above it are rather barren. It's not without luxuries, though, as iPod-style connectivity is available through a Mobile Docking Station.
