drives excellent. It retains its unmodified matching numbers drivetrain, body panels, and original paint and
interior... all in excellent condition It retains the majority of its factory parts and factory undercoating. Super
straight and clean. It is an excellent runner/driver with no squeaks, rattles or funny business!. I am a serious Z
collector... It is extremely RARE to find an all original Black Pearl in this condition. I have never seen one as
original and clean as this one. Unused jack and spare... all original window sticker and dealer invoices... keys,

addition to any collection.
The body is completely rust free and straight. Frame, floors, and chassis are totally solid... underside is super
straight and retains most of its factory undercoating. Paint is all original except for the drivers headlight
bucket from a crack repair and the hood from chips... it presents amazingly well with some minor blemishes and a
bit of patina... rear hatch has some fading but for a 40 year old all original paint Z the car is fabulous.
The interior is exceptionally clean... panels, carpet, and trim all look great... Dash has 1 minor crack... I have
a full face molded cover I will install if wanted. Drivers seat has just a little stress. Gauges, lights, and
electronics all work properly INCLUDING the clock!! Dealer installed cassette deck still works great as does the
power antenna , warning lights, buzzers, etc.
Original L28 motor was removed and professionally rebuilt with warranty... I installed a spare motor in the
meantime to shake down all the other service issues from being in storage so long. I will have the original engine
reinstalled in a detailed engine bay or buyer can have the car as is with the original motor on the side. Currently
the car starts idles and runs fantastic... has great power and sounds good. 5 speed Trans shifts smooth and strong
through the gears!! Suspension feels tight and provides excellent ride and brakes stop straight and sure. Strong,
powerful, and reliable... freshly serviced and tuned... ready to roll.... definite daily driver capable.

Datsun officially reborn with Go model for India [w/video]
Mon, 15 Jul 2013In March of 2012, Nissan announced the return of its historic Datsun brand. Datsun used to represent the Nissan brand in a number of markets, but its badge hasn't been worn on a new model since 1981. In 2013, though, it has been relaunched as the Japanese manufacturer's budget offering in the emerging markets of India and Russia.
The model that will lead that charge, at least in India, is the Go, a car that pays tribute to the very first Datsun, the DAT-GO.
The operative term with the Datsun brand is: "budget offering." Don't step inside the Go and expect beautiful hides or brushed metals (it's being sold in India, after all). The instrument cluster features a simple speedometer, while the five-speed manual and the center stack above it are rather barren. It's not without luxuries, though, as iPod-style connectivity is available through a Mobile Docking Station.
This father and son duo terrorize the UK countryside in Datsun 240Z pair
Wed, 12 Nov 2014The Datsun 240Z got a lot of things right when it was introduced, with handsome styling, strong performance and a reasonably affordable price. And while the coupes grew a strong fan base in the US, they remained quite a rarity in the UK. Decades later, a father and son in England have latched onto the car and bonded over their shared love for two completely opposite takes on this Japanese GT
There's already quite a collection of exotics in Mel Streek's garage, and his rat rod 240Z, which he calls the Ratsun, definitely doesn't fit with the rest. On the outside, the Datsun looks ready to fall apart, but it's mechanically perfect underneath. Alternatively, Mel's son, Ollie, has a completely different take for his Z with its perfect, shining paint.
Both Zs sound amazing, though. They have a mechanical, somewhat course exhaust note that's intoxicating to hear. You can definitely tell there's some work going on under the hood. Check out this video from Petrolicious for a father and son who both find something to love in these classic Japanese coupes.
Meet the man who took a year sabbatical to drive his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster
Tue, 28 Jan 2014A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.
