This rare and classic 280Z is definitely a major restoration project or you could part it out, however I'm hoping someone restores it. I purchased the 280Z in 1991 and drove it to work and back. I don't know how many previous owners there were, but the car is mostly all original. The mags have been changed and it has a glued in dash cover. It doesn't have any dents that I know of, but it has sustained some major rust damage. The 280Z was running in good condition when I parked it in the woods in 1996 and the automatic transmission was working fine, but sitting all these years untouched has left it with the brakes not working and not in running condition, also the ceiling cover has fallen. I haven't tried to start it, but I'm positive it will not start at this time. The car needs to be reworked before any starting is attempted.

After I have received  the purchase price in full through Pay Pal, the buyer can make arrangements to pick the car up or arrange for shipping. It is the buyer's sole responsibility to arrange for and pay all costs to pick up the car. I will however meet and assist your shipper in loading the car after 3:30 pm weekdays or any mutually agreed to arrangement for the weekend. The buyer should pick the car up within a reasonable time, but I won't put you under a rush.

I reserve the right to dispose of the car by any means I desire if the car has not been picked up after six months of the close of auction.
I also reserve the right to re list the car for sale if it has not been payed for in full within 30 day of the close of auction.

This car will be sold As Is with No Warranty and No Refund.

Payment must be received and cleared in full before the car can be moved and the Title transferred to the new owner.

The Mileage listed above is an estimate, I forgot to bring the key when I took pictures

The 280Z is located in Lincolnton, North Carolina

Meet the man who took a year sabbatical to drive his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.

Malaise Era All-Stars

Fri, 17 May 2013

A few weeks ago, we bid a fond happy 40th anniversary to the automotive dark ages of 1973-84 that have come to be known as "The Malaise Era" - the performance ice-age when 160 horsepower was a lot and a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds was remarkable. Like music in the 1980s, everything in automobiledom didn't suck, however. There were a few bright spots. Here are five of our favorites:

Datsun debuts new seven-seat Go+ in Indonesia [w/video]

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

The Datsun name may have long since been replaced by Nissan, but the old brand is making a comeback - in certain markets, at least. Nissan relaunched the Datsun brand in July as its new budget brand for developing markets with the debut of the Go hatchback, and has now followed up with the addition of the larger Go+.
Set to be built in Indonesia at Nissan's plant in Purwakarta, the Go+ debuts today in the capital of Jakarta as the second model in the new Datsun lineup. The seven-passenger minivan features flexible seating in a compact form 13 feet long, powered by an unspecified 1.2-liter engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
Nissan isn't saying much else about the model, but hopes the new Datsun twins will account for half of its sales in Indonesia within three years. The low price target for both models - set to come in at less than 100 million rupiah ($8,700) - ought to help it get there. The lineup is then scheduled to reach other markets, starting with India, Russia and South Africa next year.
