1973 Datsun 240z Turnkey 9 Second Street Legal. Rare Find. Nissan 240z on 2040-cars

I have owned this 240Z for about 14 years. Before I bought it it used to run 8.50s in the 1/4 with a big motor. It can handle anything you can put in it. Currently it runs 9.60s with a 350 small block Chevy on 125 shot of N2O. It runs low 10s on motor without Nitrous. That is as fast as I wanted to go and wanted it to be street legal. I have not raced it for the past 5 years and have just taken it to car shows close by. It would take more than $60K to build this car so you can save a lot of money and time by getting this turn key street monster for less than 1/3 of that.
There was an article in a 1997 Hot Rod magazine about this car. This is what I do recall from the time I used to race it. 350 SBC. 750 DP Holley. Iron heads with a lot of work done to them. 12.5:1 Nitrous pistons. Solid cam. Very dependable motor with low runs. 350 Turbo trans with the best stuff built by Steve Casner. Manual Valve body. 9" Ford rear with 31 spline spool held in by ladder bars. Hooks hard. Full frame from the front to the back with a complete cage from the front to the back. This is a street legal corvette killer car. It's built for racing, so please buy only if you can handle a car like this. I have never had a problem driving it on the street, but It may or may not be legal to drive on the street at your home town. I prefer you buy my car in person to see what you are exactly getting as I'm selling it in as is condition with no returns . This is really an awesome car so don't miss it. 37K miles in a 1967 Datsun Roadster
Tue, 11 Mar 2014When we think of comfy, long-distance road cars, there are a few obvious choices. A Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Bentley Continental GT or, assuming fuel efficiency isn't paramount, a Range Rover are all good options for a road trip. But what if that road trip was 37,000 miles? Maybe something more reliable but still comfortable, then, like a Honda Accord. What about a 1967 Datsun Roadster?
As insane as it sounds, Scott Fisher is doing just that, running a Datsun 1600 Roadster across North America and racking up 13,500 miles in his first three months on the road. His total journey will see him pile over 37,000 miles on his red convertible. The car is lightly modified, but most of the work is for the sake of reliability and comfort, with a five-speed manual 'box, an upgraded radiator and electronic ignition.
Fisher's trip hasn't been all smooth, with a few typical bits of trouble. He also ran into some deer in Utah, quite literally, clipping one of the animals, which delivered quite a bit of damage to the passenger's front fender (hence the rear three-quarter view in our lead shot). Still, the car seems to be holding up well, as shown in this latest video from Petrolicious.

First new Datsun in decade sketched, set for Indian reveal
Mon, 01 Jul 2013Nissan's Datsun nameplate revival will begin with two models bound for the Indian market. Nissan has released sketches of a five-door hatchback based on the Micra (codenamed K2) and a top-down view of a hood that could potentially be from a sedan.
The company's press release says all will be revealed on July 15 in New Delhi, India. The Datsun lineup will be first offered in 2014 to that country's ride-deprived residents as well as Indonesia and Russia. Later in 2014, South Africa will join the list.
We've heard Nissan plans for Datsuns to share platforms with company-owned Lada. In January, we heard the projected price tag could be around $3,000 USD to compete with Chinese imports. The official press release (which can be read in full below) says nothing about either of these reports, however.
