1972 Datsun 240Z 2nd owner... I bought this car out of a storage unit from brother of deceased owner,,he was the 2nd owner of this car and had owned it since 1983..This car has an extremely clean 6cyl and 4speed transmission in it and sounds great..It also has factory A/C,,it has brand new cooper cobra radial GT's that are 215/60/14 size all matching on aluminium wheels.all glass is good,,body is great with needing some work around back lip..has louvers on back glass.The second owner did paint the car black but it was originally a green color.It is missing front bumper,if his brother finds it I will give it to buyer..seats are nice except some wear on drivers seat,dash has two small cracks in middle on top..headliner,door panels and material on and around console is nice.This car has no rust on undercarriage,just needs work on rear wheel lips,this car starts,drives and brakes great and has a CLEAR TITLE in my name..I have a pic copy of title befor eme to show how long previous owner had it.Im starting my auction at a low price with no reserve..These cars are hard to find at a good price and in this great of shape.. Datsun officially reborn with Go model for India [w/video]
Mon, 15 Jul 2013In March of 2012, Nissan announced the return of its historic Datsun brand. Datsun used to represent the Nissan brand in a number of markets, but its badge hasn't been worn on a new model since 1981. In 2013, though, it has been relaunched as the Japanese manufacturer's budget offering in the emerging markets of India and Russia.
The model that will lead that charge, at least in India, is the Go, a car that pays tribute to the very first Datsun, the DAT-GO.
The operative term with the Datsun brand is: "budget offering." Don't step inside the Go and expect beautiful hides or brushed metals (it's being sold in India, after all). The instrument cluster features a simple speedometer, while the five-speed manual and the center stack above it are rather barren. It's not without luxuries, though, as iPod-style connectivity is available through a Mobile Docking Station.
Meet the man who took a year sabbatical to drive his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster
Tue, 28 Jan 2014A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.

Fri, 17 May 2013A few weeks ago, we bid a fond happy 40th anniversary to the automotive dark ages of 1973-84 that have come to be known as "The Malaise Era" - the performance ice-age when 160 horsepower was a lot and a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds was remarkable. Like music in the 1980s, everything in automobiledom didn't suck, however. There were a few bright spots. Here are five of our favorites:
