CAR IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION WITH EVERY ORIGINAL PART FROM DATSUN. THE ORIGINAL, TIRES, CARPET, PAINT,WIPERS, AIR FILTER ETC. ORIGINAL FACTORY PAINTED AND MATCHING UNDERCOATING IS INTACT ( BODY PAINT CODE 301). THE GENTLEMAN I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM BOUGHT IT NEW 10-26 1976 FROM FERGUS DATSUN IN SKOKIE ILLINOIS. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL TITLE UN TRANSFERRED AND ORIGINAL CONDITION. THE CAR IS IN EXCELLENT RUNNING CONDITION THE AIR CONDITIONING EVEN STILLS BLOWS COLD AFTER 30 YEARS OF PRESERVATION AND NOT BEING DRIVEN. THE INTERIOR IS PRISTINE AND MINT !! NOT A TEAR OR BLEMISH EVEN STITCHING IS PERFECT. THE ONLY ISSUE WITH THIS CAR ARE THE ORIGINAL TIRES ARE STILL ON THIS CAR AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. THERE ARE A FEW MINOR LIGHT SCRATCHES ON DRIVERS DOOR AROUND HANDLE FROM TRANSPORTER. I REMOVED THE FUEL TANK TO HAVE IT PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE FUEL SYSTEM PRIOR TO STARTING CAR.THE CAR WAS STORED IN A GARAGE AFTER LAST OIL CHANGE WAS PERFORMED IN 1996. IT HAD NOT BEEN DRIVEN OR STARTED SINCE PURCHASE. I HAVE ALL THE OLD OIL FILTER BOXES WITH RECEIPTS. THE OWNER WAS ANAL AND METICULOUS UNTIL HIS HEALTH DID NOT PERMIT. Fiat contemplating sub-brand to compete with Dacia, Datsun

You can add Fiat to the admittedly short list of automakers considering a low-cost brand to rival Dacia. The inexpensive Eastern European brand from Renault-Nissan has performed on the balance sheet like a premium model line, and the money the alliance is taking off the table is encouraging other players to deal themselves in. Pretty soon Nissan's Datsun sub-brand will join the Dacia party, going on sale in Russia, Indonesia and India and will claim even more rubles, rupiahs and rupees for the parent company. Volkswagen recently said it will make a decision this year on a budget line for the Chinese market. With the euthanasia of Lancia and plans to move the Fiat brand upmarket, company CEO Sergio Marchionne wonders aloud to Automotive News Europe whether there could be room for a new budget brand underneath Fiat.
We're told that the initiative has been in the idea box for five years and even moved to the stage of name considerations, like Innocenti, but worries about profit kept it from realization. If such a range were to be developed, Marchionne says it couldn't be built in Italy and stay within budget, and the company is "analyzing its manufacturing capacity outside of Europe to see if a low-cost brand is viable."

A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.
