Originally an Arizona car then moved to Texas in the early 90's. As you can see by the pictures, the only rust spots are on the exterior. The under pan, wheel wells are near non existent with the exception of a little scaly rust on the frame. The interior is gone but the headliner is respectable. The dash is cracked as usual. The engine received an overhaul not too long ago. No smoke, no blow-by, and no leaks. Carbs are just fine. The downside is reverse in the auto transmission is out. On the bright side, there is no drive line noise. The brakes, suspension, and steering seem to be very acceptable. All four tires are practically brand new. This is a rust free car on the under pan. As far as rust on the exterior, what you see is what you get. Buyer to pay for shipping but I will help find good and reliable transportation. This car has a low reserve so if you don't plan on buying it, please don't bid.

Meet the man who took a year sabbatical to drive his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster
Tue, 28 Jan 2014A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.

First new Datsun in decade sketched, set for Indian reveal
Mon, 01 Jul 2013Nissan's Datsun nameplate revival will begin with two models bound for the Indian market. Nissan has released sketches of a five-door hatchback based on the Micra (codenamed K2) and a top-down view of a hood that could potentially be from a sedan.
The company's press release says all will be revealed on July 15 in New Delhi, India. The Datsun lineup will be first offered in 2014 to that country's ride-deprived residents as well as Indonesia and Russia. Later in 2014, South Africa will join the list.
We've heard Nissan plans for Datsuns to share platforms with company-owned Lada. In January, we heard the projected price tag could be around $3,000 USD to compete with Chinese imports. The official press release (which can be read in full below) says nothing about either of these reports, however.
