This is an "ORIGINAL OWNER" 2005 Chrysler Town and Country 7 passenger minivan in the Limited package. Purchased new and driven by retired couple, we are in our late 70s. Always garaged since new. Never in accident. Only serviced at Chrysler. Mobil One full synthetic oil changes. Never smoked in, no pets or young children. Stow & Go seating. Almost completely loaded including rear entertainment system with DVD. The original earphones (probably never used) and books are included. Overhead rack storage system, heated leather seats and all the other options on the Limited package. Front and side airbags, along with ABS and Traction and Stability Control for safety. Complete set of four nearly new Michelin Defender tires with 90,000 mile treadwear warranty. Rides like a dream, smooth as glass. This must be one of the cleanest used vechicle you will ever see, it looks almost as new. The ONLY thing wrong with it is a couple very minor scuffs on the bumpers as you would expect, and two or three tiny parking lot dings that are too small to photograph. There is a faint scratch on the hood, again, too minor to capture in photos. Since it spends most of its life in the garage, the paint shines like new, and even the headlights show none of the cloudiness often seen over the lenses. We have all the books, both keys, and all service records since new. We have clear title in hand, it is the original title issued when the car was brand new with about 40 miles on it. As a courtesy to the buyer, and to extend a little peace of mind, we are including a three month 3,000 mile comprehensive warranty at no charge good anywhere in the United States - our son works for one of the large national warranty companies. We will let it go to the highest bidder with No Reserve. Starting bid is $20.00. We took great care to represent our van in an accurate and ethical manner. We believe the new owner will get many years and many thousands of miles of reliable use, it has been very good to us. Upon pickup, if the winning bidder finds it not as described, or for any other reason is not satisfied with it, the deposit will be promptly returned in full and no negative feedback will be posted. We ask a $500 Good Faith Deposit within 48 hours of auction end. Please pick up within two weeks. Happy to help arrange delivery and/or shipping at purchaser's expense. Interested bidders are welcome to inspect in person. It is located at our son's home in Annapolis, MD. If you have any questions feel free to give him a call, his name is Paul and his cell number is (703) 888-7000.

Jeep Cherokee faces on-sale delay
Sat, 23 Mar 2013A report in The Wall Street Journal looks at some of the obstacles to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee that go beyond its mootable yet "very contemporary" looks, almost all of them based on Fiat's financial position. Starting with that sheetmetal, in defense of it SRT president Ralph Gilles and Jeep design head Mark Allen said they wanted to "make sure the design still looks modern five years from now."
The WSJ piece doesn't cite longevity as a factor, instead saying that its features originated in a design for an Alfa Romeo, the transformation into a Jeep design meant allowing Chrysler get it to market more quickly and save "hundreds of millions of dollars" in engineering.
The need for Fiat to save money while it weathers the European situation has cut budgets for development, engineering and the pace of retooling the Toledo, Ohio plant to build the Cherokee. In a familiar case of snowballing at work, among the effects will be pushing back the Cherokee's volume sales date and delaying updates to some of Chrysler's other products.
UAW ratifies FCA contract
Thu, Oct 22 2015The second time was apparently the charm for the proposed contract between the United Auto Workers and FCA US as 77 percent of union members have ratified the four-year deal, it was announced Thursday. "This agreement represents an investment in our US workforce and recognizes its contributions to the company's growth over the past six years." the automaker said in a statement. Now, the UAW must move forward on new arrangements with Ford and General Motors. After members rejected the original offer, UAW president Dennis Williams (pictured above, right) was positive about the new deal's acceptance. "The resolve of our membership and the dedication of our negotiating team has produced an agreement that affords UAW members a strong wage package and job security while still allowing the company to competitively produce high quality vehicles for our customers," he said in a statement. In contrast to the last offer, the new contract largely eliminates the two-tier wage system, and it's now it's possible to attain the same $29 per hour pay over eight years of employment. According to the Detroit Free Press, the deal also no longer limits FCA US from hiring entry-level workers. The original plan for a healthcare co-op across the Detroit automakers is also axed from the latest arrangement. While the strategy was supposed to lower costs, the potential changes weren't explained well to union members, and they rejected it. UAW FCA MEMBERS RATIFY NEW CONTRACT Featured / Negotiations / October 22, 2015 DETROIT – The members have voted to ratify a new four-year collective bargaining agreement with FCA by a 77% majority. The results of the voting are as follows: • Production workers – 77% • Skilled Trades – 72% • Salaried Bargaining Unit – 87% President Williams stated, "The recent bargaining process that took place on behalf of our members at FCA is a testament to the UAW's democratic values and commitment to our members. The resolve of our membership and the dedication of our negotiating team has produced an agreement that affords UAW members a strong wage package and job security while still allowing the company to competitively produce high quality vehicles for our customers." "UAW members at FCA have obtained a strong agreement that provides substantial wage gains, fairness in the workplace, and job security.
Fiat Chrysler global HQ lands in London's ultra-posh West End
Thu, 18 Sep 2014It seems Fiat is bent on bolstering its image as a global automaker, as word has leaked out that the Italian/American conglomerate has chosen to locate its global headquarters in a rather swanky neighborhood in London. According to Bloomberg, the rental location on St. James Street in London's West End is a 10-minute walk from Buckingham Palace, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will fill up three complete floors of an office building that also houses The Economist magazine.
As a neutral location between Italy and the United States, the London-based headquarters makes sense, though, at $277 per square foot, this area is said to be the most expensive office space in the world. There's no mention of what FCA has actually agreed to pay for renting the space, but we're certain it isn't coming cheap.
Not surprisingly, Bloomberg also cites research indicating that the largest number of immigrants moving into London from January through August of this year hail from Italy, which makes sense considering the number of Italian executives and workers we'd expect would have to relocate to the UK in order to work at Fiat's new home. The company reportedly plans to be in place in London by the time it holds its next round of board meetings in October.
