I am the third owner of the car. My parents had bought the car used drove it awhile and then gave it to me around 90000 miles +. I parked the car around 7 months ago after I had lost my job and could not afford insurance on it. I had taken a trip just before that and had drove around a 1000 miles with no problem with the car.
There are some things wrong: Since I have park the car the engine idles a little rough and a little hard to start. The right front tire will not hold air, the drivers front seat and the rear left passenger seat are torn, the door check on drivers side is broken and clicks when door is opened and closed, the inside rear view mirror has lost it fluid and does not dim the car lights from behind, the handle that is used to close the driver side door is broken, the radio plays fine but does not show any display. Outside: there is a dent in the rear trunk lid, a small dent in front of the gas cap, the top's back glass has come loose and defroster does not work, the seams above both doors has come loose as well as one next to the back glass. There is a vibration around 45 mph don't know if wheel balance??? My parents change oil every 3000 miles, changed transmission fluid at 30,000 miles, replaced fan belts at 34000 miles, replaced rear brakes at 40000 miles, replaced EGR valve at 45600 miles, replaced the spark plugs and wires and fuel filter around 47000 miles, replaced front brakes at 57,500 miles, changed transmission fluid at 71,250 miles. Have the owners manual. The AC blows COLD AIR. The top is canvas and works fine and there is a cover that comes with it. The tires have good tread, right front will not hold air. I have tried to take pictures of everything. If you have any question ask before bidding. If you would like to see the car we may be able to work something out. Chrysler defies NHTSA, says it won't recall 2.7M Jeep Grand Cherokee, Liberty models
Wed, 05 Jun 2013Facing a possible recall totaling around 2.7 million of its most popular SUVs, Chrysler remains insistent that the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty are safe vehicles. This comes on the heels of a recall request from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for these two models due to fuel tanks mounted behind the rear axle, which could possibly be ruptured during severe rear-end collisions, leading to an increased risk of fire. In response to the allegations, Chrysler says that it does not agree with NHTSA nor does it plan on recalling either vehicle.
Chrysler said both SUVs "met and exceeded" the requirements for fuel-system integrity, and cooperated fully with NHTSA since the investigation was opened in 2010. While 15 deaths and 46 injuries have been reported from fires caused by rear-end collisions on these models, Chrysler is claiming that the vast majority of incidents cited by NHTSA were "high-energy crashes," including one where a stopped Grand Cherokee was rear-ended by a tractor trailer going 65 miles per hour.
The automaker wraps up by saying "NHTSA seems to be holding Chrysler Group to a new standard for fuel tank integrity that does not exist now and did not exist when the Jeep vehicles were manufactured." Fiat Chrysler posts $690M Q1 loss
Mon, 12 May 2014If there is one thing that should be remembered when looking at quarterly and annual earnings, it's that the headline numbers rarely tell the whole story when it comes to an automaker's health. Chrysler's first-quarter earnings are just such an example.
Yes, the Auburn Hills-based manufacturer lost $690 million, which is quite a large sum of money. The reasons for the loss, according to Chrysler, were "Unfavorable infrequent items," which includes a $504 million payment to rid itself of the debts it took on for prepaying the UAW's VEBA healthcare trust. Chrysler was also hit with a $672 million charge to the UAW, which was part of a deal that allowed Fiat to purchase the remaining shares of Chrysler owned by the VEBA.
Ignoring those one-time deals, the first quarter was quite a successful one for Chrysler. It would have made $486 million if you erased the merger costs, which would have been a year-over-year increase of $320 million. Even more promising is the fact that Chrysler snagged the largest increase in market share of any automaker during Q1 at 1.1 percent, bringing its overall share to 12.7 percent of the US market. Chrysler saw a 30-percent improvement in sales of trucks and SUVs, along with an 11-percent increase in year-over-year sales and a 23-percent increase in revenue, to $19 billion.

The company estimates that its investment will yield about 2,000 jobs between both states. In addition to attracting our attention, it caught the gaze of President-elect Donald Trump, who tweeted praise to both FCA and the Ford Motor Company. Trump's writing also seems to imply he deserves a certain amount of credit for these shifts to American production. However, as Sergio Marchionne, CEO of FCA, explained to the press in a conference today, Trump and his impending administration had nothing to do with the decision. He said the decision to invest in the plants in Michigan and Ohio were in place well before Trump was going to be the President of the United States. In addition, he said that FCA has not been in contact with Trump or any of his colleagues regarding the decision. Marchionne also stated that neither he nor the company was making any preemptive plans for manufacturing locations the light of the upcoming Trump presidency. Rather, he said that the company will change to address regulations that are actually passed, and the only way the company could change plans ahead of new laws or taxes would be with more information and clarity. We assume that a "big border tax" isn't specific enough. Still, the fact that automakers are going out of their way to make and clarify announcements about manufacturing illustrates the massive attention Trump brings with every Tweet.
