2003 Chrysler Pt Cruiser Gt Wagon 4-door 2.4l Low Miles on 2040-cars
Elysburg, Pennsylvania, United States
2003 PT Cruiser GT Turbo. Nice little car. Power windows, power door locks, tilt, cruise, heated seats, leather interior, moon roof, ice cold AC. Good on gas. Has only 51,308 original miles. Fresh oil change, 4 brand new tires, waxed and ready to go!! I bought this car a year and a half ago to conserve on gas. I have not owned a 4 cylinder since the 80's and was very reluctant to do so. I bought this inexpensive PT for $6000...and I was sold. Just bought a 2012 Avenger and will be letting this go. It was very reliable and saved me tons of money in gas. Everything works as it should. No pulsating in the brakes, no leaks on the ground. Does not miss in the engine. Transmission shifts as it should. It does have a few imperfections as noted. It does have a rock chip on the passenger side of the front window. It was there when I bought it. Has a couple touch up nicks here or there. The front bumper has a scuff on the very low spoiler that is hardly noticeable. There are two 15 inch long scratches on the roof from a suitcase. Paint shines beautiful and was waxed monthly. The interior is very nice. The leather does have a scratch here or there on the front seats, but no holes, rips or tears. The radio just started turning off and on here or there so I bought a factory replacement for it, but didn't get it installed. It should be a 10 minute job. It is in a box in the hatch. I would give both the interior and exterior a 7 1/2 to 8. It is a great little car and gas saver with low miles, that isn't an embarrassment to drive. Where can you find a car in that condition for under $6000?? Good luck and happy bidding!! |

The Aficianauto sets his lens on Black Beauty
Fri, 24 Jan 2014In the short time we've known about the works of The Aficionauto, we've become fans of the video series highlighting some of the most famous and iconic movie/television cars ever. While past episodes featured cars from 1980s movies and tv shows, the latest video shows off the 1965 Chrysler Imperial affectionately known as Black Beauty We saw the Imperial for the first time at the 2009 Comic-Con; the car actually used in the 2011 action comedy The Green Hornet.
Of the 30 cars made for the movie, host Chris Rutkowski says that Sony only preserved two, and if you're a collector of movie cars, this one is currently being sold for $165,000. Scroll down to watch as Rutkowski takes Black Beauty for a spin through Beverly Hills, CA with its assortment of exposed weapons including the hood-mounted machine guns, numerous missiles and flame thrower.
2015 Chrysler 200 gets 36 mpg with Tigershark four-cylinder
Thu, 27 Mar 2014Chrysler has come out with the official fuel economy information on the new 200 following the info that was leaked from the EPA earlier this week. It turns out that our initial report of 18 miles per gallon in the city and 29 mpg on the highway for the all-wheel-drive V6 was correct.
What we didn't know at the time, though, was what sort of economy the 200's other powertrain options managed. Outfitted with the 2.4-liter four-pot, Chrysler is promising 23 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway, with a combined rating of 28 mpg. Those figures are fairly impressive; besting figures of the 2.5-liter Ford Fusion and tying the 1.5-liter, EcoBoost, non-start-stop model. It's also beats the four-cylinder Toyota Camry's 35-mpg highway figure while tying its combined efficiency.
Stepping up to the 295-horsepower Pentastar V6 pushes the economy down to 19 mpg in the city, while the highway figure is a respectable 32 mpg for the front-driver. The combined rating for the FWD V6 is 23 mpg. Those figures can't quite match the 270-horsepower 2.0-liter, EcoBoost four of the Fusion, which nets 22 city and 33 highway. In fact, the V6 200 has trouble besting even the 3.5-liter V6 of the Camry, which returns 21 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. Again, though, the 200 is noticeably more powerful.
GM, Chrysler bailouts saved 2.6 million jobs
Tue, 10 Dec 2013
The Center for Automotive Research (CAR) has been studying the effects of the General Motors and Chrysler bailouts in 2009. Now that the US Treasury has officially sold off the rest of its stake in GM (and Chrysler has already paid back its loan), CAR has released its study on the effects of the bailout with this concluding note: "CAR is confident that in the years ahead, this peacetime intervention in the private sector by the US government will be seen as one of the most successful in US economic history."
Big words, for sure, but there's plenty of evidence to back up the claim. Bailing out GM alone saved 1.2-million jobs. If both GM and Chrysler hadn't been bailed out, US employment would have been reduced by 2.631-million jobs in 2009 and another 1.519-million jobs in 2010, according to the study. If both automakers were allowed to fail, personal income in the US would have decreased by $173.5 billion in 2009 and $110.9 billion in 2010. Instead, the study found that $284.4 billion of personal income was saved by the bailouts.
