2001 Chrysler Pt Cruiser Touring Wagon 4-door 2.4l on 2040-cars
Moulton, Alabama, United States
This is a well maintained 2001 PT Cruiser I have owned twice now. I purchased the car in 2009 from a local dealership with 38,000 miles to used as a low voltage security install vehicle. I drove the car for 2 1/2 years and sold it to a lady here in town with 112,000 miles. She put a new timing belt and water pump on the car while she had it and put roughly 15,000 miles on the car over the year and a half she owned it. I purchased the car back about 6 months ago to use as a company travel vehicle and now am taking a new job that provides transportation. This car runs and drives great with no known mechanical issues. The air and heat work as they should, as do all the electric windows, radio and lights. The check engine light is on and shows a power steering switch low voltage which is the fluid level sensor. It doesn't leak fluid so I never changed it. The car has Michelin tires with about 1/2 tread in them and are showing a bit of dry rot (pictured) but still ride smooth. There are some cosmetic flaws on the body that I have pictured. The interior is very clean and only has minimum wear showing. Everyone is welcome to see and test drive this car before the auction end. I would drive this car anywhere and I usually drive the car over 100 miles per trip. It currently has 138,386 miles and may change slightly but I will not be traveling long distances in the car anymore. Thanks and feel free to ask questions. Low Reserve so bid to buy.

Chrysler recalling 630k Jeep models worldwide
Thu, 06 Jun 2013Despite its refusal to recall 2.7 million Jeep Grand Cherokee and Liberty models this week over a gas tank fire risk, Chrysler will be recalling 630,000 Jeep Compass (pictured), Patriot and Wrangler vehicles around the globe for a pair of entirely different reasons.
The affected Compass and Patriot models are all from the 2010 to 2012 model years - 254,000 in the United States, 45,400 in Canada and 109,000 elsewhere in the world. In these models, a software error may result in the late deployment of the side airbags and seatbelt tensioners. In the event of a crash, failure of these systems could result in more serious injuries for the vehicle's occupants.
Jeep's go-anywhere Wrangler also faces a separate recall due to power steering fluid lines that can possibly wear a hole in the transmission oil cooler line. According to Chrysler, the vehicles could then leak fluid, possibly damaging the transmissions. Roughly 221,100 Wrangler models are being recalled because of this issue, all of which are fitted with Jeep's 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. In the US, 181,000 vehicles are affected, with an additional 18,400 in Canada and 21,700 additional units worldwide. A Chrysler spokesperson said that no crashes or injuries have been reported with either case, according to the Associated Press.
2015 Chrysler 200 production gets underway [w/videos]
Mon, 17 Mar 2014Chrysler announced recently that it has added some 800 new jobs at its Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP) to support the production of its all-new 2015 Chrysler 200 sedan. Total employment at the Sterling Heights, MI plant grows to almost 2,800 with the hires, an impressive figure for a plant that was slated for closure in 2010.
Speaking to a crowd of employees and community leaders, Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne was on hand to celebrate the kick-off of 200 production last week. "We're making a big bet on its success," said Marchionne of the sedan, "we've invested nearly a billion dollars in this facility."
That billion-dollar bill has been used to construct a spanking new paint shop, install a new body shop and install "machinery, tooling and material-handling equipment" according to the Chrysler press release. The company says that SHAP now runs to nearly five million square feet of manufacturing space - loads of room for all the new employees to do their thing - and that the facility can handle multiple vehicles on two unique architectures.
2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat revealed [UPDATE]
Wed, 13 Aug 2014Almost immediately after we drove the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, we began wondering: what's next? Pumping 707 horsepower into the Challenger seemed so crazy - and so intoxicating - we just assumed that Dodge would try that trick again.
Rumors swirled about a Charger Hellcat. Frankly it makes even more sense than the Challenger version. The Charger is a bigger car, and Dodge has never been shy about dropping monster engines under its hood. Hell (cat), we've seen Charger mules running around town that appeared to be the super sedan.
And finally, it's here. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat was revealed today at a preview event near Detroit, and it will be a centerpiece of the Chrysler display this weekend at the Woodward Dream Cruise.
