Low Milage 2002 Chrysler Prowler Base Convertible 2-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
Sheboygan, Wisconsin, United States
This Yellow Prowler has 1310 miles on presently, 1303 of which came on the trip from the WoodHouse Chrysler dealer in Nebraska and driven by the owner to Manitowoc WI. in 2003 and still has dealer plate on and even the scan labels still not burned off of the exhaust manifolds. This Prowler was delivered to a custom car shop where it was to be prototyped into a retro rod of the 30's. During the begining of the customization process the Owner died and the project was halted and the car was in storage over legal issues between the business owner and the widow of the deceased owner of the car though 2010 at which time the business went under in the Obama recession. I acting as the owners (widows) representitive was able to get the car back in 2010 and have been holding the car in storage since and have just recently come to terms with the widow, to sell the Prowler, the title is clear and in her name and ready to be sold , vehicle is all stock except for Custom Stainless vertical grill which was in it when I picked it up. I will buy a stock grill for new owner in exchange for the custom grill if perferred. If you have been looking for an excellent low milage Prowler and have been looking at what the asking prices are for very low milage Prowlers then you know this is priced to sell and will be sold. I brought a new 84 month Mopar battery for it and took the car for a spin and put 7 miles on it from 1303 to the present 1310 miles and it is in perfect driving condition. This vehicle has no outstanding manufacturing updates according to Dealer information. so any issues were completed before the owner died. Since the vehicle is in Wisconsin, and widow is on the east coast, this sale will be handled though an Attorney who will recieve and clear payment and recieve and approve the title before any funds and title are transferred, contact me for details. This will be a no reserve auction with a stating bid of $28,000 which is well below value for this vehicle. The Buy it Now price is $35,000 and with that I will include the Prowler Delivery hardtop that I have for sale on ebay now for $4,000 and also purchase a new stock grill to go along with the custom Stainless vertical grill in the car now buyer will get both. Questions ? Please contact me directly 920-912-6933 best times to call 9-12 am cst or leave message and I will return your call. Vehicle is available for inspection at your request prior to sale. Must be paid in full prior to pickup and or shipping which is new owners responibility. Since the vehicle is also for sale locally I reserve the right to cancel this auction at anytime durning the running of and outside of Ebay Motors. P.S also have an 2007 Mustang Saleen/Parnelli Jones Edition #100 of 500 made 302 wipple supercharged at 625 hp 12k miles if you know anybody with interest pass it along with my p.n. Thanks Steven |

Chrysler says its 8-speed transmissions will save 700 million gallons
Thu, Jun 19 2014Chrysler Group's TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission could be earning some serious green bragging rights if the company's projections are correct. The recently widely proliferated automatic gearbox, which is now in more than a million vehicles around the world, is poised to save drivers an estimated 700+ million gallons of fuel over the vehicles' lifetimes (an expected cost savings of $2.5 billion). In addition, Chrysler expects a reduction in CO2 emissions by more than six million metric tons. According to Chrysler, and depending on the vehicle, the TorqueFlite can improve fuel economy. The TorqueFlite autobox features particularly close ratios from fifth to eighth gear (see the press release below for the specific numbers), and uses low-viscosity fluid that doesn't need to be replaced. Transmission software adapts to the driving situation to optimize efficiency based on driver behavior, temperature, grade, stability control, and longitudinal and lateral acceleration. The TorqueFlite is capable of handling a variety of duties. As evidenced by the wide range of vehicles Chrysler Group has seen fit to equip with the eight-speed transmission, the TorqueFlite is capable of handling a variety of duties. Since its 2012 introduction, the TorqueFlite has gone from performing cog-swapping duties in Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 models equipped with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 to changing gears in vehicles such as the Pentastar- and Hemi-powered Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee and even the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel. For the 2015 model year, the eight-speed is finding its way into even more vehicles with the addition of a third version. In addition to the American-made TorqueFlite 845RE and 8HP70, the new 8HP90 will be manufactured in Saarbrucken, Germany. The 8HP90 is designed for higher torque loads, making it ideal for high-performance vehicles like the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. The already-in-use 8HP70 will expand its duties to be used in 2015 Hemi models such as the Dodge Charger, Challenger, and Challenger SRT8. You can see the list of those benchmarks in Chrysler's press release below.
Fiat Chrysler exec talks up the future of fuel cells
Fri, Jul 31 2015When it comes to a belief in the viability of electric vehicles, you can put automotive folks like Nissan's Carlos Ghosn and Tesla Motors' Elon Musk on one side of the proverbial wall and Fiat Chrysler Chief Technology Officer Harald Wester on the other. Because while the two former executives are staking much of their companies' respective future on plug-in electric drivetrain technology, Wester sees no such future in it at all, according to an interview in Motor Trend. Oh, sure, the Fiat Chrysler technology chief does give the idea of an electrified powertrain some quarter, saying he sees standard hybrids as a solution for the "intermediate" future in addressing both higher gas prices and need to meet progressively more stringent European greenhouse gas-emissions standards. But Wester, who also oversees Fiat Chrysler's Alfa Romeo and Maserati brands, ultimately views hydrogen fuel-cell technology as the way to go for advanced powertrains and minimal emissions. As for battery-electric vehicles? Wester pretty much shoots them, citing everything from a typical EV battery's weight to the challenge of finding electric recharging stations to the fact that much of the electricity needed for those cars is produced via CO2-emitting sources. He forgot to say anything about the CO2 required to bring gasoline or hydrogen to market. Wester's "bah humbug" is actually pretty consistent with the company's party line. Last year, Fiat Chrysler head honcho Sergio Marchionne, in an interview, famously told the general public not to buy the Fiat 500e electric vehicle. That's because he estimated that the company takes a $14,000 loss on each unit sold of Fiat Chrysler's only production EV.
