1947 Chrysler New Yorker 1946, 1948 Chrysler/dodge Super Solid ! Run & Drive on 2040-cars
Fenton, Missouri, United States
Here I have for your consideration : 1947 Chrysler New Yorker It is equipped with the original straight eight and fluid drive. It fires right up.... runs and drives , but needs a little more brake work to be 100% safe. It has had recent master cylinder and line work, but has only been gravity bled. The motor uses and leaks a little oil The car is mostly complete (as pictured) and very solid with only a few rust out spots I have the stainless trim that mounts under the RR quarter window. I do not have the hardware to install it though. It is a great driver project ! restore to your liking. It has a rust out spot on the RH. inner rocker near the B post (pictured) A few bubbles on the trunk skin and at the bottom of a few spots low on the car exterior. 24 pictures is not enough to show all of its condition. I encourage you to come in person or have me send you more pictures to help with your decision in bidding/buying. Floors, trunk floor, hood and bottoms of all doors are in great condition ! All paint bubbles are cosmetic on exterior. Nothing structural. Trunk , doors and hood open and close almost like new ! This car is very straight ! It has had one paint job to change color many years ago. I do not see signs of prior damage or any bondo. I think a previous owner simply did not like the original green. The tires are almost new There are cracked windows and haze on most if not all windows. I would not consider any of the glass to be good quality. Restoration was never on my mind. It is a fun car just as-is ! If you want to put thousands into it, that's great. It would make a beautiful show car ! I will revise/add to my listing as I think of important information to give you. Please ask questions and make comments prior to bidding or making offers of BIN. Call, text or email 1-314-757-3489.....James I am offering a few other projects, so please view my other listings. All cost of shipping/pick up/delivery is of the winning bidders/buyers expense. I offer delivery up to 300 miles at an extra cost. I will help load on you or your shippers trailer for free. I am located 20 miles Southwest of St. Louis Missouri @ 63026. Please figure the cost of shipping before bidding/buying A small deposit of $200.00 USD is required within 24 hours of auction end. Balance to be paid in full (cleared payment) within 7 days of auction end. I am willing to work with you on storage of the vehicle as long as the car is paid for. Because the car runs and drives : I will require the title and as-is bill of sale signed and dated upon full payment. It will be up to you to fill in address and sale price |

Autoblog Minute: Marchionne seems prepared to lead FCA in takeover of GM
Fri, Sep 4 2015FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne wants industry consolidation but without any deal takers it seems as though he's ready to consider a hostile takeover. Autoblog's Chris McGraw reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute with commentary from Autoblog editor-in-chief Mike Austin. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] It's no secret that FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne wants industry consolidation but without any deal takers it seems as though he's ready to consider a hostile takeover. I'm Chris McGraw and this is your Autoblog Minute. Marchionne is tired of waiting for the industry to get on board with his consolidation plan. In an interview with Automotive News Marchionne was quoted as saying, "it would be unconscionable not to force a partner." And when pushed further about the nature of any potential takeover plan the FCA chief had this to say: "Not hostile. There are varying degrees of hugs. I can hug you nicely, I can hug you tightly, I can hug you like a bear, I can really hug you. Everything starts with physical contact. Then it can degrade, but it starts with physical contact." Metaphor aside, Marchionne suggests his numbers for a GM-FCA merger are irrefutable, pointing to potential global earnings of a 30 billion dollars. Without a merger deal on the horizon we have to wonder if an FCA takeover of GM even possible. For more we go to Autoblog's Mike Austin: [Mike Austin Interview] Marchionne says GM won't take his phone calls, and while he admits a merger with GM would be a hard road to haul it's one he's still determined to travel. We'll continue to monitor the story as it develops. For Autoblog, I'm Chris McGraw. Autoblog Minute is a short-form video news series reporting on all things automotive. Chrysler 100, midsize CUV and plug-in hybrid minivan launch bid to go mainstream
Tue, 06 May 2014The news just keeps on rolling from Auburn Hills today, as Fiat Chrysler continues to detail its five-year growth plan. This time round, we're talking about Chrysler. The troubled American brand has been limited in the past few years to the lamentable Sebring/200, the Town & Country and the 300, although that's likely to change in the coming years.
"The Chrysler brand is not luxury - it's not premium. Chrysler is the mainstream American brand," brand CEO Al Gardner said during today's presentation.
Gardner set a sales target of 800,000 units by 2018, which marks an increase of 350,000 units compared to its 2013 sales results. That's a pretty big ask for a brand that's struggled to define itself over the past decade.
