There is no rust or body work that we know of. All glass is good and clear, the interior is Black Cloth with leather bolsters. It's riding on 4 very good condition radials. It also has a factory trailer hitch. What the car does need before it can be cruised is a carbuator rebuild and a tune up. It started and ran well when it was stored in 1996 and it has been started regularly but not driven. Upon starting it recently it starts and stalls, it needs to be revedto stay running and there is a miss. Despite it not running well, the motor does sound good with no taps or ticks. The gas tank did have STABIL added each fall but the gas is very suspect now as it smells when the car is running."

Hello,   this auction is for a "B" titled 1968 Imperial Crown four door hardtop.

It was purchase from the original owners family in 1996 and he was a military man. The title is branded "Out of Country" because he used this car in the Sudan.

It was built for export and he brought it home with him.

It s in very good, original condition- Body, Chrome, Interior, Stainless trim, Glass, Top.  The tires are also very good. There is no body work that we are aware of and the entire outside of the car has minimal wear, which is appropriate to it's 47,000 original miles. It is equipped with a 440 cu inch motor and coupled to a 727 transmission. It may or may not have a posi-traction rear. It does have a factory type trailer hitch. The rugs are good in the iterior as well as in the trunk. There is an original triple stripe whitewall tire in the trunk.

The car has been owned by me since 1995 or 1996 and was purchased from the owners estate. The car was placed into storage when I bought it. At that time it was running a little rough and in need of a carburator rebuild. I started the car this week and it does need the carb replaced or rebuilt as it starts, stalls and sometimes back fires. The gas has been treated over the years with STABIL but it is probably fouled and suspect of the poor running. It will start and tries to idle but will stall if not given a little pressure on the gas pedal.

The two rear power windows are stuck in the closed posistion and the power antenna activates but doesn't raise. I do ot know if the air conditioning needs a charge or not. The car is equipped with cruise control/auto pilot but has not been tested.

This car was purchased for $5000,00 and not driven by me, it was put into storage and not used so it is in need of some basic CPR to run and operate as it should.

It is being sold 100% AS IS.

2017 Chrysler Pacifica First Drive

Mon, Mar 21 2016

I know this is supposed to be a shameful secret, but I like minivans. I like the way the kids can enter and exit easily with the sliding doors. I like the comfortable ride they provide on road trips. I like the way I can reconfigure the interior seats to haul groceries, furniture, and kids. For decades, the minivan has been maimed by its uncoolness. Sales of the family movers have tapered to about 500,000 units per year while American families have shifted their allegiance to crossovers and SUVs. But America loves a redemption story, and I believe the minivan can be redeemed. Chrysler does too. At a time when the company is shedding vehicles from its lineup – so long, Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart – its executives aren't paying any attention to whatever conventional wisdom suggests the minivan segment has foundered and reached its end. Instead, Chrysler just spent $2 billion to overhaul the architecture for its minivan. Enter the 2017 Pacifica, an all-new vehicle that immediately replaces the Town & Country and eventually will replace the Dodge Grand Caravan. It couldn't have come at a better time. Consumer Reports recently named the outgoing Town & Country one of its "Ten Worst Picks" among 2016 vehicles, an eyesore for the company that pioneered the minivan segment. Enticed by a slew of standard features and heavy incentives, I happen to own one of those disparaged Town & Country vans. Other than a transmission that always seems to be searching for the right gear, I've got no substantial complaints about the car. While it'd be a reach to say that any minivan is attractive, the new design makes the Pacifica the best of the bunch. But my ownership experience made me curious about how the new Pacifica would fare, whether Chrysler's billions were invested well and mostly, whether the Pacifica would truly feel like an all-new vehicle or whether it had merely been incrementally advanced. Navigating the roads in the rolling hills of Southern California last week, it didn't take long to find out. A revised 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine delivered 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, making the climbs up California's hills effortless. Likewise, the new nine-speed automatic transmission never strained or felt clunky, like it has in other recent products like our long-term Jeep Cherokee. The harmonious combination of the upgraded engine and transmission felt like the single-biggest differentiator between the old and new minivans.

Everything is absurd in Fate of the Furious, including the car hacking

Fri, Mar 10 2017

Truly ridiculous and absurd scenes and situations are a staple of the Fast and Furious series, And earlier trailers made it clear that Fate of the Furious wouldn't be any different as soon as the submarine appeared. However, it turns out the craziness has spread to the topic of car hacking. The hacker is Charlize Theron's character, Cipher, and she can apparently control any car in the world, and many of them at once. She uses this to great effect in creating giant rivers of rampaging automobiles through city streets, and waterfalls of cars flying off of parking structures. And if you look closely at these groups of vehicles, it is evident that she can even control older cars that have no automated steering or throttle capabilities whatsoever. We would ask how that works, but we know that's a silly question in the Fast and Furious universe. After all, this is the series that featured Dominic Toretto flying through the air over a freeway to catch Letty Ortiz and land on another car. And they survived. Your logic has no power here! We also noticed that Cipher seems to have a preference to hack vehicles from Fiat Chrysler. In the trailer, multiple Chrysler 300s, a Jeep Cherokee, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a Dodge Challenger all get some prominent screen time when they're being hacked. We're not so sure this is good product placement for the brand, particularly considering this is the same company that recalled over a million vehicles to fix a software issue that could lead to hacking. Maybe this is the trade-off for having the Dodge Challenger Demon as a hero car. There's more to this trailer than Chryslers and hacking though. It turns out that Cipher has been following Toretto for a few movies now. Also, characters fly with jet packs, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's character shoves a torpedo out of the way, on ice, while hanging out of a truck. Check it all out in the video above. Fiat to list on New York Stock Exchange?

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Citing the ever-nebulous "two sources close to Fiat," Reuters is reporting that the Italian automaker and owner of the Chrysler brand is likely to list itself on the New York Stock Exchange. The move could reportedly happen as soon as 2015, marking the end, at least in the minds of investors, of Fiat's 115-year base in Turin, Italy.
The Italian government is not likely to react favorably to Fiat's potential move from Italy to the United States, despite initially positive reactions to Fiat's landmark final purchase of Chrysler, the third-largest automaker in the US. Fiat spent $3.65 billion to buy out the 41.46-percent stake in Chrysler that had been owned by the United Auto Workers' VEBA trust fund.
With little sign of a swift European recovery, Fiat has little choice but to focus on markets outside its traditional home, and a listing in New York could potentially be a boon for investors. According to International Strategy and Investment analyst George Galliers, speaking to Reuters, "People [would be] more likely to think of the entity in the same context as they do Ford and GM" if it were listed on the NYSE.
