BEAUTIFUL 1965 FOUR DOOR IMPERIAL CROWN
WHITE with FABULOUS ORIGINAL TURQUOISE INTERIOR
ONLY 97,899 MILES

I bought this beautiful car in 1990, from the original owner. I was looking at the car for my boyfriend, but just had to have her for myself. This has always been my dream car. Every summer, she was my transportation. The luxurious interior is my favorite part of the car. The Turquoise is not faded. The wonderful headliner is perfect. The dash is gorgeous, with no cracks or scratches, including the woodwork. All of the interior chrome is fabulous; & the lights all are working. The carpet is great & all original. The leather & cloth seats are as perfect as when I bought the car, front & back, with the pull down arm rests. The clock works now & then, just to tease me. The radio plays great AM & the retractable antenna operates. All of the glass on the car is original & without breakage. The car had been sitting most of the past four years, with me starting her regularly, & she never sat in the sun. The car just had a tune up & a new fuel pump & is running great as always. The beautiful 413 engine is all original, with a new hose & battery some time ago & the recent tune up. She runs like a dream & is powerful. The original exterior paint still looks good, with no dents, but there are small nicks & also a few very tiny rust spots, smaller than your pencil eraser. The tires need replacement. All four original Wheel Covers are in great condition & the exterior Chrome is all good. The trunk was always in need of a hard close. Water had sat in the trunk when I hadn't been opening it & the carpet had to be removed, but the whole of the trunk is still good. There is a line of rust under the top of the lid, where the rubber had failed. The original carpeted cover for the spare tire is intact. The car has traveled perfectly to Vancouver, BC a few times. We have been enjoying an unexpected sunny day, perfect for going for a drive. But, the clouds moved in before I took my photos & the new ones are dark! But, you do get to see the other side of the car. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions & thanks for your interest.

Chrysler releases Born Maker ad campaign for 2015 200 [w/video]

Fri, 06 Jun 2014

"The 200 sets the benchmark, for us, on how we plan to develop cars going forward." - Marissa Hunter
Is the 2015 Chrysler 200 the most important new product for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles? While it is certainly debatable, we'd be strongly inclined to say "yes." As the first competent midsize sedan that Chrysler has released in the better part of two decades, the new 200 is absolutely crucial to achieving the brand's goal of becoming FCA's "mainstream" manufacturer.

Fiat Chrysler and PSA boards sign off on merger

Tue, Dec 17 2019

MILAN — The boards of French carmaker PSA, the owner of Peugeot, and Fiat Chrysler in separate meetings on Tuesday approved a binding agreement for a $50 billion merger, sources said. The two midsized carmakers announced plans six weeks ago for a tie-up to create the world's No. 4 carmaker and reshape the global industry. A merger is seen helping them deal with big challenges in the industry, including a global downturn in demand and the need to develop costly cleaner cars to meet looming anti-pollution rules. Both companies declined to comment. A source close to FCA had said earlier the two companies could formally announce the agreement early on Wednesday, followed by a conference call to explain further details later in the day. China's Dongfeng Motor Group, which now has a 12.2% equity stake in PSA, will have a reduced stake of around 4.5% in the merged group, two sources said, in a move that could help make regulatory approval easier. According to the deal approved by PSA's board on Tuesday, FCA's robot unit, Comau, will remain within the combined group rather than be spun off as was originally planned in October, the sources said. The new group will evaluate how to extract value from Comau. Ahead of the meetings, entities representing the Peugeot family, Etablissements Peugeot Freres (EPF) and FFP, unanimously approved a proposed memorandum of understanding for the planned merger, a source familiar with the situation said. FCA and PSA are expected to finalise a deal by the end of 2020 to create a group with 8.7 million annual vehicle sales, a source said. That would put it fourth globally behind Volkswagen AG, Toyota and the Renault-Nissan alliance. It was only six months ago that FCA abandoned merger talks with PSA's French rival Renault. FCA would gain access to PSA's more modern vehicle platforms, helping it meet tough new emissions rules, while Europe-focused PSA would benefit from FCA's profitable U.S. business featuring brands such as Ram and Jeep. However, the deal could still face close regulatory scrutiny, while governments in Rome, Paris and unions are all likely to be wary about potential job losses from a combined workforce of around 400,000. PSA's Carlos Tavares will be chief executive and FCA's John Elkann — the scion of Italy's Agnelli family, which controls FCA through their holding company Exor — chairman of the combined company.

Question Of The Day: Most overlooked heroic engine?

Wed, Dec 9 2015

All of us know that the small-block Chevrolet V8 was a masterpiece of engineering that made the high-performance overhead-valve V8 affordable to the masses, and that the Mercedes-Benz OM617 diesel is basically immortal, and that the Toyota R engine defined what it means for a vehicle to be considered Warlord Grade. The AMC straight-six. The Model T engine. The Volvo Redblock. Those engines get the respect they deserve. But what about the engines that we don't think much about, the ones that worked hard in their millions and somehow missed attaining legend status? The list of engines beloved by their aficionados but not thought of often by the rest of us goes on and on: the Renault Ventoux, Mitsubishi 4G1, MeMZ-968, and so on. But my vote goes to the Chrysler flathead straight-six. This engine was produced starting in 1929 and was still being made for stationary industrial use in the early 1970s. It powered just about every type of Chrysler vehicle made for decades, hauled supplies for all the major Allied armies in World War II, and was even developed into a five-bank, 30-cylinder tank engine. It was simple and reliable and outlived most of its competition, and you rarely hear much about it these days. What's your choice?
