1965 Chrysler Imperial Crown 6.8l on 2040-cars
Milton, Massachusetts, United States
Very beautiful 1965 Chrysler Imperial Crown Convertible. Drives and runs great, looks great as well. Custom paint done about 12 years ago, a stunning deep maroon with a clear coat finish. A nice tan convertible top and matching interior. All was redone about 12 years ago by the previous owner. I have had the engine rebuilt, and the transmission serviced and the whole car overall gone over. It really is a great car and I do not have issues driving it anywhere. It is not a perfect car however. There are some issues, there is one chip of paint missing from the hood. The only other issues that I am aware of have to do with the dashboard. The gear shift indicator and speedometer do not work. The speedometer needs to have the grease removed from the maqnet is what I am told. The gear shift indicator seems a bit more complicated. Other than that, the heat and ac have been disconnected and I have never had that addressed. The fan however does work. Also the antenna needs to be replaced and a window button does as well. This car is definitely a head turner. It has been used in a number of parades and weddings. It spends most of its time in a garage and is not used much more at all. The interior and the carpets are in excellent condition, as is the top and the rear window. The top goes up and down very nicely. The whiskers in the passenger windows needs to be replaced as well. The ride is very smooth and luxurious. The car is also very peppy and fast. It is a very heavy vehicle and handles itself very well. |

Chrysler names six new board directors
Mon, 16 Jun 2014Executives may call the shots day-to-day at the world's leading automakers - much as they do at any other corporation - but the ultimate decision-making body remains the board of directors. And Chrysler has just named six new members to its board.
The appointments include Hermann Waldemer, the former CFO of Philip Morris International - the tobacco giant whose Marlboro brand has funneled untold billions into Ferrari as the Scuderia's title sponsor for decades, and on whose board Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne sits. Waldemer replaces Doug Steenland, who came to the Chrysler board after Northwest Airlines (at which he served as CEO) merged with Delta, and whose term on the board expired just days ago.
In addition to the Waldemer appointment, Chrysler has expanded its board with five more seats, all filled by existing group executives. Among them are Reid Bigland (head of US and Canadian sales and of the Ram truck brand), Fiat general counsel Giorgio Fossati, human resources director Michael J. Keegan, Jeep CEO Michael Manley, and group CFO Richard Palmer.
Next Chrysler minivan spied inside and out
Wed, Feb 18 2015Chrysler isn't supposed to unveil the next-generation Town & Country until the 2016 Detroit Auto Show, but FCA is hard at work getting the minivan ready for launch. Our spies recently caught prototypes on the road and took copious photos of the interior and exterior, giving us an early idea what to expect from the future family-hauler. These shots make it pretty clear that FCA's engineers aren't done working on the next T&C yet, and all of the camouflage on the outside makes any styling changes very difficult to spot. However, the company is testing the future version with a current one, and the new design appears to have harder angles. One intriguing picture clearly shows the Dodge logo on the back of the minivan. The Dodge Grand Caravan is supposed to be killed off for 2016, though. We've also heard the next-generation minivan will get a plug-in hybrid variant, which was reportedly confirmed last week. The interior is slightly less concealed than the outside, but development is still ongoing in there, too. It's easy to spot the familiar infotainment screen from other FCA products, and there's just a peek at the T&C's instrument cluster, including the design for the tachometer. A rotary dial gearshift also appears to be in the center console, similar to the Chrysler 200. Even at this early stage, it appears that FCA is trying to take the next T&C a little more upmarket compared to the current iteration. The move fits well with earlier rumors of the price increasing for the future model. Related Video:

Wed, 29 Jan 2014Chrysler announced its 2013 financial results today and unveiled its new name and decidedly bank-like logo. Amid the announcement, Chrysler posted big gains in income, while Fiat didn't perform to analysts' expectations.
