1963 Chrysler "Crown" Imperial

You are bidding on a 1963 Chrysler "Crown" Imperial.  This 2-owner classic luxury car was first driven as a chauffeured vehicle in St. Petersberg, FL.  It was then purchased in the mid-60's and driven as a central Florida family car until ~1998.  It was garage-stored until 2009.  It is currently NOT RUNNING; however, ALL parts are original.  Please examine the photos.

The original hood latch has broken off and was replaced with a home-made substitute; however, the original hood latch is included with this auction.  The back driver's side door is stuck and will not open with normal force.   An extra set of wheel covers is also included with this auction and are pictured in the trunk of the car.

Aside from the obvious effects of weather and time, there are three minor blemishes:  a horizontal dent and scratch in the back passenger door of the car, a dent in the front chrome bumper on the driver's side, and a small section of broken chrome near the trunk ( all seen in the photos).   This car has spent it's life in Central Florida where there is no snow, ice, or salted roadways!

The winning bidder must make arrangements to have the vehicle towed and transported from it's current location in southern Polk County, FL as it is not running

This vehicle is the perfect project car as all parts are ORIGINAL!  Take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to restore this classic luxury car to it's original splendor!  BID NOW!  Don't let it pass you by!

New UAW boss Williams talks tough, vows 'no more concessions'

Sun, 08 Jun 2014

Dennis Williams, the newly elected president of the UAW, had some tough words for American automakers in his inauguration speech at the 2014 UAW Convention, striking down the possibility of any additional concessions from the 400,000-strong union.
"No more concessions. We are tired of it. Enough is enough," Williams said during his speech. UAW employees have not received a raise in nearly 10 years, according to Reuters.
Considering the recent strong results for Ford, Chrysler and General Motors, the union's demands are likely to carry a bit more weight in next year's negotiations. And considering Williams' tough stance, we could be in for some fireworks once negotiations commence.

Chrysler mum on Toledo Wrangler production after meeting Ohio leaders

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

"Fiat Chrysler remains committed to producing vehicles in Toledo and anticipates employment to remain at current levels."
The future of the iconic Jeep Wrangler in Toledo, OH, remains uncertain after a meeting Thursday between Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne and Ohio government leaders.

Marchionne uses racial epithet to describe what must power future Alfa Romeo models

Wed, 16 Jan 2013

Sergio Marchionne and his Fiat empire have a lot riding on the US return of the Alfa Romeo brand. The endeavor has been in progress for what feels like a lifetime - certainly for as long as Fiat has had the Chrysler brand under its Italian wing.
It's not surprising that Fiat CEO Marchionne needs a perfect first Alfa to mark a return to America. And here's where things get dicey. Nobody would argue with Marchionne's insistence that Alfa Romeo's be powered by Italian engines - as Marchionne himself is quoted to have said at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, "There are some things that are well done in Italy."
If not what he said, then, it's how he said it that has eyebrows raised. "I cannot come up with a schlock product, I just won't. I won't put an American engine into that car. With all due respect to my American friends, it needs to be a wop engine." Wait, what's that?
