1963 Chrysler Imperial Crown RARE!!!!
This was a top of the line cars in 1963!!
Chrysler's motto for the car was "America's Most Carefully Built Car"
The 24 pictures I've posted should speak for themselves, it's a really nice car!!

This car features: Four Power Windows (they all work), Power Brakes, A/C, Automatic Push Button Transmission, and a 413 cubic Inch V8. Also has the rare "Autopilot" Option (A precursor to modern cruise control). The car has approximately 72,000 actual and original miles.

It runs and drives excellent but has a exhaust leak but doesn't effect drivability. The automatic push button transmission works perfect.

The car is tagged and inspected in Delaware. New Paint Job and Seats were reupholstered with new seat covers.

Straight solid body with good lines on it. The pictures speak for themselves, it's a definite a head turner. Just hop in it and drive. It is not a perfect show car but has been enjoyed as a driver to cruise in.

According to some paperwork with the car, the car was purchased brand new in Wilmington, Delaware in 1962 by a Delaware Buyer at a dealership called "Hollywood Perkins." It was later dealership maintained in the mid-1960s by CF Schwartz Delaware (which is still in business today and about 10 minutes away from where I live). As far as I know this has been a Delaware car it's whole life.

Jeep follows up Super Bowl spot with call to help the USO

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Once again, Chrysler had one of the most talked about Super Bowl commercials with its two-minute Whole Again Jeep spot, which was used to highlight its Operation SAFE Return program for US military personnel returning home from active duty. As part of this campaign, Jeep announced today that it will be donating up to $300,000 to the United Services Organizations (USO), and you can help.
Simply tweet using the #joinOSR hashtag on Twitter, visit the Yahoo! homepage or go to the Jeep Operation SAFE Return website, and Jeep will donate $1 to a fund that provides returning troops things like employment assistance and incentives to buy new vehicles. Jeep is also donating to this charity to the tune of $250 for each Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited (including the Freedom Edition model) and Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition model sold.

Detroit automakers gain market share simultaneously for first time in 20 years

Wed, 01 May 2013

While monthly sales figures might be an easy way of tracking the progression of the auto industry and individual automakers, looking at market share might be more indicative of how each company is actually standing up against its competitors. For the Detroit Three automakers, they have collectively lost almost 30 percent of the market over the last 20 years, but now, for the first time since 1993, Ford, General Motors and Chrysler have each posted market share gains at the same time.
According to Automotive News, Ford's share increased the most by 0.7 percent, GM was up 0.5 percent and Chrysler rose marginally by 0.2 percent, giving the Detroit automakers a total market share of 45.6 percent. As for the Japan's Big Three, the article reports that Toyota is up by 0.7 percent, Nissan is down the same amount and Honda has seen "little change."

Chrysler and Hyundai join Pepsi and Coke as top Super Bowl spenders [w/ video]

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

Super Bowl XLVIII is barely a week away, and some of the early ads are already leaking out. It's timely then that The Street has released rankings of the top five Super Bowl advertisers since 2009, showing Chrysler and Hyundai/Kia taking two of the spots with $131.7 million in cumulative spending.
Since 2010, the cost to air a 30-second Super Bowl ad has risen from $3 million in 2009 to about $4 million in 2014, and about a fifth of advertisers opt for a one-minute ad, which doubles costs. Last year, the ads brought in $292 million, and they have brought in roughly $2 billion since 2010.
Chrysler has spent $64.3 million since 2009 to make it the fourth highest spending company in the last five years. In that time, the company has rebranded itself as it emerged from bankruptcy with the Imported from Detroit ad campaign that premiered in 2011 and last year's God Made a Farmer Ram Trucks ad. Its 2012 Halftime in America sparked national debate about whether it was also a reference to the upcoming presidential election.
