1952 Chrysler Imperial Sedan - Hemi Firepower V-8 - Power Steering Power Windows on 2040-cars
Costa Mesa, California, United States
1952 Chrysler Imperial Sedan with Hemi FirePower V-8 & Fluid-Torque Drive Transmission This is a very nice original Chrysler Imperial and it runs great! It was originally a New Mexico car that has been part of a large Auto collection in Southern California over the last 9 years. The car looks as good as it does in the listing photos that were just taken this week. The previous owner stated that he was only the third owner and that the miles were very low. The condition of the original interior and other original parts on this car leads us to believe that it does have extremely low miles. The body is very straight with no signs of rust and the paint is great. The chrome on this car is in very good condition except for the rear bumper. The interior looks to be all original and in great condition. (See photos) Everything in the engine compartment looks to be very original and the car still has the factory labels, tags and paint markings on the firewall. The car also comes with the original Owner's Manual. 1952 was only the second year for the Chrysler Imperials to have the Hemi FirePower V-8 standard plus the optional Hydraguide power steering assist and power windows. This car had a base price of over $3,800 and it was equipped with a heater, radio and power windows plus it came with the optional Fluid-Torque Drive Transmission, Hydraguide steering assist and power windows. The Hemi engine was rated at 180 HP and it carried the car to speeds well over 100 mph. This car is well over 60 years old so we are selling it as-is. The car can be viewed in the Newport Beach area and we are available to answer any questions or even send additional photos if needed. Please call 949-642-7447 to make an appointment to view it or if you need additional information. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs but we will assist the buyer in the shipping process. |

Marchionne to take his sweater and go home after 2018
Wed, 08 Oct 2014The end is in sight for Fiat Chrysler boss Sergio Marchionne, who confirmed in an interview with Bloomberg that once FCA's sweeping five-year plan is completed, he'd be stepping down from his post to "undoubtedly" do something else that didn't involve turning around global corporations. That would mean he should finish up after 2018 if all goes according to plan.
"It's as important to walk away from the table as it is to sit down," Marchionne told Bloomberg.
Marchionne has been at Fiat since June of 2004 and is one of the chief architects behind the Italian company's acquisition of Chrysler. Despite his successes, he does sound quite ready to move beyond the auto industry, rhetorically asking his Bloomberg interviewers if there "are other things I like to do apart from this?"
Chrysler de Mexico to sell rebadged Mitsubishi model in shades of Colt deal
Wed, 02 Jul 2014Chrysler and Mitsubishi have had a close relationship since the early '70s. Back then, they partnered up to sell the Japanese brand's models under American names as captive imports in the US. Vehicles like the Dodge Colt, Eagle Summit, and eventually the 3000GT/Stealth twins and lots of other cars and trucks became the fruits of that alliance. In fact, the two companies still maintain a good rapport, as evidenced by reports of a new deal to sell the Mitsubishi Attrage, also known the Mirage G4, in Mexico starting in November.
The Attrage is a small, four-door sedan that borrows many of the mechanical bits from the Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback. According to Automotive News, the deal allows Chrysler to sell the model in Mexico for the next five years. The deal could be a win-win for both companies. Mitsubishi gets to use more capacity at its Laem Chabang, Thailand factory where the car is made, and Chrysler gets a new vehicle for a growing market with almost zero development costs. At this time, there's no indication of the new model's name in Mexico, though.
There's also still a chance the Attrage might make it to the US market as well. The automaker showed off the sedan as the Mirage G4 at the 2014 Montreal Motor Show ahead of promised sales in small-car-friendly Canada. The Mirage hatchback was introduced to the US in a similar way, debuting in Canada first and then crossing the border. While reviews for the Mirage have been pretty atrocious, it would still be interesting to see Mitsubishi further expanding its lineup in North America.
