Offered today is my one-owner, well maintained and dealer serviced Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6.
It was bought new in August of 2007 and it's been my daily driver ever since, until January of this year. As of today this car has 86,755 miles.
All original, no mods, never raced and has ice cold A/C.
One photo shows the engine cover removed; it's available (undamaged) and goes with the car.
Also, this car has never been smoked in as long as I've owned it. No evidence of smoking during the first 19 miles either.
Replaced the following:
- Headliner - about 2 or 3 years ago (still looks new)
- Supercharger I/C Pump - about 2 years ago
- Serpentine Belt Idler Pulley w/ belt - a few months ago
- Fuel Pump (leaking) - about a year ago
Has new tires as well: TOYO PROXES T1 Sport
- Front: 225/40ZR18
- Rear: 275/35ZR19
The car looks and runs excellent, no issues except some minor curb rash on the wheels, a bit of peeling clearcoat on the front bumper and left windshield trim/molding, some peeling roof trim paint (left side only) and one very slight (difficult to find) body ding.
About the SRT-6
The Crossfire is a rear-wheel drive sports car that was sold by Daimler Chrysler's Chrysler marque. The car was built for DaimlerChrysler by Karmann in Germany and shared 39% of its components, with other Mercedes models. 80% of the car's part content is from Germany. The chassis is a combination of a modified C-class engine compartment, Pre 2003 CLK floor pan, S-Class rear linkages and new stampings for the side rails and rear. Interior is basically a first gen SLK class Mercedes. It was available as a coup'e and as a roadster.
The car first arrived in the public spotlight as a concept car and was put into production in 2003. Its designer was Eric Stoddard. Flagging sales due to non-existent marketing hindered the car throughout its production run, and the Crossfire was discontinued for 2007.
The SRT-6 was a one year only model produced in 2005 (add a handful of cars for 2006) with a total of 3,149 coupes/roadsters produced. The SRT-6 has a supercharged V-6 putting out 330 hp and 330 ft·lb of torque. It is the same Mercedes Benz AMG Handbuilt engine from the SLK32 AMG and C32 AMG. Upgrades from the standard Crossfire found in the SRT-6 include suspension, brakes, wheels, and cosmetics. The spring rates have been stiffened almost 50 percent in the front and 42 percent in the rear, and jounce and rebound rates in the shocks have been firmed up to match. The front brake rotors grow 1.2 inches to 13.0, and the rear discs go vented and get another 0.9 inch of diameter. Special SRT wheels which are 18 inches in front, 19 in the rear. The SRT-6 only comes with the Autostick transmission. The SRT has a fixed spoiler compared to the automatic retractable wing on the other models. The SRT also has a modified front end which includes a front spoiler. Interior includes a 200-mph speedo and Alcantara pseudo-suede trim on the buckets that is embroidered with an SRT-6 logo.
0 to 60 mph times are in the high 4 second range to the low 5 second range depending on what Auto Magazine you read.
The SRT-6 has the following amenities:
- cupholder
- homelink
- "crossfire" nameplated stainless steel door sill plates
- storage net between both front seats
- storage nets behind both front seats mounted on the bulkhead at the bottom
- silver cigarette lighter

Marchionne says no offers are on the table for Fiat Chrysler
Sun, Sep 3 2017MONZA, Italy (Reuters) - Fiat Chrysler (FCA) has not received any offer for the company nor is the world's seventh-largest carmaker working on any "big deal", Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne said on Saturday. Speaking on the sidelines of the Italian Formula One Grand Prix, Marchionne said the focus remained on executing the company's business plan to 2018. Asked whether FCA had been approached by someone or whether there was an offer on the table, he simply said: "No." The company's share price jumped to record highs last month after reports of interest for the group or some of its brands from China. China's Great Wall Motor Co Ltd openly said it was interested in FCA, but had not held talks or signed a deal with executives at the Italian-American automaker. The stock move was also helped by expectations that the company might separate from some of its units. Marchionne reiterated on Saturday that FCA was working on a plan to "purify" its portfolio and that units, such as the components businesses, would be separated from the group. He hopes to complete that process by the end of 2018. "There are activities within the group that do not belong to a car manufacturer, for example the components businesses. The group needs to be cleared of those things," he told journalists. Asked whether an announcement could come this year, Marchionne said it was up to the board to decide and that it would next meet at the end of September. He said the time was not right for a spin-off of luxury brand Maserati and premium Alfa Romeo and the two brands needed to become self-sustainable entities first and "have the muscle to stand on their feet, make sufficient cash". "The way we see it now, it's almost impossible, if not impossible, to see a spin-off of Alfa Romeo/Maserati, these are two entities that are immature and in a development phase," he said. "It's the wrong moment, we are not in a condition to do it." He said the concept of separating the two brands from FCA's mass market business made sense and did not rule out this happening in future, but not under his tenure, which lasts until April 2019. "If there is an opportunity in future, it would certainly happen after I'm gone. It won't happen while Marchionne is around," he said.

Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Customers have spoken and automobile satisfaction is down in 2015. I'm Chris McGraw and this is your Autoblog Minute. The American Customer Satisfaction Index or ACSI released its updated numbers and according to the survey, new car buyer satisfaction is down for the third straight year. According to an ACSI press release, customer satisfaction with new automobiles has fallen 3.7 percent, to 79 on its 100-point scale. The ACSI report is based on over 4,100 customer surveys collected in the second quarter of 2015 Sitting at the top of the industry in customer satisfaction is Toyota's Lexus brand with a score of 84. Which was good enough to dethrone Mercedes-Benz, which fell 3% to a score of 83. Of the Big Three, Ford was the only domestic automaker to maintain overall customer satisfaction with its score of 81. General Motors slipped 3% to 79 and Fiat Chrysler had a 5% drop, registering a score of 75 out the possible 100. What's driving this trend of customer dissatisfaction? ASCI points to the rise in recalls and car prices. Where do you land on customer satisfaction spectrum? Sound off in the comments with your thoughts on the current state of car ownership and brand quality. For Autoblog, I'm Chris McGraw. Chrysler trademark suggest new Rebel in the family
Mon, 05 May 2014Trademark filings can be a first alert in the auto industry that something is coming. For example, Lamborghini trademarked Aventador before we saw its supercar, and Chevrolet did the same thing with Z28. Other times, an automaker files to protect a name and never does anything with it. Chrysler is dredging up a brand from the past by filing a US request for "Rebel." The name is specifically for "motor vehicles, namely automobiles, trucks, vans, sport utility vehicles and structural parts therefor," according to Ignitionist quoting the filing.
In the US, Rebel was previously used on some American Motors Corporation models. It even spawned a muscle car version called the Machine (pictured above). Chrysler eventually bought AMC when it bowed out of the auto industry in 1987.
Chrysler's plans for the name are a complete mystery at the moment. Although, it probably won't be a midsize sedan like the original. That just seems too unlikely given the brand's current, established lineup. Rebel seems like a fantastic name for the performance trim of a vehicle, though. The Jeep Renegade Rebel has a nice ring to it, and a Ram 1500 Rebel pickup could also work. We're going to have to wait and see what's in store for the moniker. Let us know in Comments what model you think would fit the Rebel name.
